Can only speak to the market part. Nice selection, helpful staff. Upstairs lounge area looks inviting, but again, we did not use this part. Look forward to trying it out.

TRIO was recommended to us on our first visit, but we could not make it work - we are so glad we made it a priority this time! The food, wine, and service were all excellent! As a wine lover I found their selection both of by the glass and retail bottles to be well-curated and interesting, and I loved the different flight options. We will definitely be back in on our next trip out!

Went here last Tuesday for lunch. Had a awesome experience, everything was delicious and wine and beer selection was outstanding. There's no way you could walk away thirsty. They have a beverage for every tastebud. Onion Dip was delicious, it's served with chips. Homemade chips or a thin sliced hard bread for dipping would set this dish off to another level. Burrata plate was good. Cava Mac and cheese was insanely good, had that as a side. Turkey panini was good and chicken and prosciutto was good. Definitely recommend this place. If u go get the onion dip (ask for bread to dip, chips

Awesome food. We loved all the food and cocktail/mocktail. They also have pretty decent amount of selection on beer. I will be going there again and again

4.5 stars... rounding up. TRiO was probably the best overall restaurant we experienced in ALL of OBX. And that was just for lunch. The location isn't great for outside dining, but it was such a nice day even the loudish street noise couldn't dampen our enthusiasm.

Also, I should mention that they don't have liquor, just wine/beer. But even THAT couldn't dampen our enthusiasm. Because what they lack in other areas they made up for with sheer taste and creativity.

To wit- my French Dip was so good I could've eaten it every day. And our salads and crab cakes- equally wonderful

Unfortunately. The has good to Mediocre. The food is pretty good. We used to come for the wine and have some food now that the wine list is so poor... We will move on to another location to enjoy our boy our time and spend our money. The wine selection on the other side of the room however is great.

Will some of my parties food was really good others where just ok. Good crab cake, seafood and gumbo soup and the goat cheese and fig was very good. Most of all for a higher end restaurant I did not appreciate the wait staff. No dress code. She had on jeans and a tank top and a shirt tied around her waist. Gave us dessert menu, They arrived in a to go box. No one at the table ask for their dessert to go. Less than impressed!

Outer Banks weekend adventure. Started @obxtrio for red sangria and lunch. A whipped goat cheese with fig jam was gooey and delicious. The jumbo lump crab cake sandwich was all crab and didn't need a roll. Special lobster ravioli stuffed full and with a creamy mushroom sauce.

I first must say that Haley made the experience most delightful. Sharp, honest, and attentive. Next comes the food. Excellent in every sense of the word. Had the Crab Pot Pie, and others had the Crab Cakes, and Lobster Ravioli. Every single item was excellent, and superb. To NOT dine here is a big miss on your part. Take it from this reviewer, you will not regret a visit here.

Outstanding beer and wine collection with a sufficiently good menu of food and lighter fare if you want to eat or just nibble. I have visited Trio every time when coming to the OBX and the ONLY reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is their unbelievably early closing time on the weekends. 9pm just seems crazy early for such an excellent place with great ambiance and character.

Returned to Trio from a visit two years prior and did not have as good of an experience. The hostess sat us speedily as it was slightly busy when we arrived, we were seated upstairs and a waitress came up to us several minutes later. We placed our drink order and the goat cheese and fig appetizer- would HIGHLY recommend, by far the best thing we had. We ordered a pina colada type drink and a dragonfruit flavored wine cocktail, both were good! Our food on the other hand was not with what we paid and came out 30-40 minutes after we ordered. We felt as though our waitress forgot to put the food in

Great place for small bites.
Definitely go if you’re feeling snacky. I personally wouldn’t go for a full meal. The portions are light, but the food is amazing.
Ordered a charcuterie board, soup of the day (she crab soup), and lobster ravioli. The bowl of soup is more like a cup, and the ravioli was roughly 7 pieces.
I highly highly recommend. The food is absolutely amazing, but again, not as a full meal. :)

We were visiting OBX and saw the reviews so gave TRiO a TrY. Glad we did!! The grilled peach salad with buttermilk blue cheese was excellent, and crab cake on the side was almost all lump crab. Great wine and beer selection.

Our first time at Trio and it was a little disappointing. From the lack of enthusiasm from the gentle man taking table info to the extremely long wait for our order, Trio just failed to impress. All our dishes were bland and blah. Trio missed on all counts. Well you can't win em all.

Love this restaurant and shop! First time stopping in on a Thursday in the late afternoon and immediately walked up to the bar.

Trio has a nice selection of wine and beer! I love the flight options that let you get exactly what you're looking for. Their wine selection to purchase is enormous! Definitely a place to check out for non-grocery store level wines for wine lovers.

We ordered three small plates to snack on. We had the onion dip that was absolutely amazing!! The roasted cauliflower was delicious but the
Chimichurri was a show stopper.

Great environment and tasting food!

Nice upscale place in Kitty Hawk. They specialize in wine, beer and cheese so the tapas style menu is perfect. I had the fig jam with whipped goat cheese and the smoky garlic shrimp. The flavor combos were fantastic. It was a nice pre-birthday dinner. They do have outdoor seating the server was wearing a mask. They also have a shop where you can pick up items to make your own charcuterie board at home.

Restaurant located at back of beer, wine & cheese store. Lots of variety for wine and raft beer. Decent selection of app, main course items with good quality. As mentioned by another patron, the pricing for salad + protein is a bit high but other items seem reasonable.

Bottom Line: Lovely market with beer, wine and gourmet food with an adjoining bistro.

I've consistently heard good things about Trio and while a wine bar isn't really my thing for dining my husband and I were curious about the market so we checked it out.

The market has a large selection of wine and beer including lots of North Carolina local beers and an option to make your own six pack. We also enjoyed looking at the beautiful cheese display. Between the wine and cheese I was definitely reminded of my trips to Napa and Sonoma. We also enjoyed looking at Virginia peanuts, cool NC

My husband and I found TRiO during our first stay in the Outer Banks this month thanks to a whim for sangria. Given the very beachy vibe in Kill Devil Hills, my expectations for TRiO as a wine bar were not super high-- I was grateful just to have found a spot serving my craving.

Therefore, I was completely blown away by the dining experience here. We ordered both the red and white sangria, which were equally delicious-- refreshing but not too sweet, and nice that we could order by the glass. We had the Caribbean shrimp tacos and the evening's special, a local scallop ratatouille. Both dishes

My very favorite place in the OBX! The wine and beer selection is amazing and I love to take a few bottles home as delicious souvenirs of the beach trip.

The cheese shop selection is amazing and staff offer great advice to build a cheese platter for takeaway.

The wine and beer selection on tap is phenomenal and again staff are super knowledgeable about everything they serve. The food is awesome - cheese and charcuterie boards are wonderful with great accompaniments that round it out. Highly recommend adding a warm baguette to your selection it goes great with everything! Flatbreads are creative

We buy some wine at Trio when we run out of what we haul out from St Louis. We had never eaten here until Leap Day 2020. We just thought we would give it a try based on having drinks there with a friend a few months ago. We had a nice lunch and I am inclined to return. We keep trying to mix up our dining choices and try some new (for us) places.

Ms T ordered the Turkey and Cheddar Panini. It had white cheddar and cranberry aioli. She really liked it and it tasted fine for me although I am not a fan of the very strong cheddar which dominates for me.

I had a very nice bowl of Muligatawny

Amazing food! Mostly sharing plates which makes this a great place for a group of girlfriends who want get a little dressed up and experience some great drinks, live music and excellent service.
The staff are very knowledgeable on their entire menu including all cheeses, wines and their always changing beer lists.
If you love something you can bring it home with you from their store or even get a Crowler made at the bar.
I love this place and come back every year!
I’m very excited to see what their new second location in Duck will be like!
