Its a tavern and customers can get loud when favorite football team is playing and score a touchdown. Didn't come to watch the game but rather try the burger and oysters.
Raw oysters were fine but the burgers were even better. Boss Hog burger was a monster, tasty, and very filling. The hand cut fries reminds me of In & Out cut fries. Very good!!!!!
The chips and queso was right on!!! Will visit again when in the Outer Banks!!!

Visited this past Monday PM dinner and tried the $19 oyster dinner. Chose Mac and Cheese and green beans as sides. Wow ! Lots of quality oysters and served with perfection. There are numerous other dishes on menu, but, this was the best choice I've made in all of my previous visits. I'll return for oysters again soon ! GF ordered the BBQ plate and was also pleased. Good dinner, drinks, and NOT packed with too many people. Highly recommend this locally owned restaurant !

We had a great lunch and phenomenal service from Sarah. Hand-cut fries were crispy and delicious, the crab cake was tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced, and the beers were cold. The staff accommodated our desire for a particular football game (MSU!) and seated us where we could hear and see the game on multiple TVs.

Today was my first time trying this place and it is my new favorite! Don't let the stripmall location deter you. The crab cakes were some of the best I've had-fresh with a light breading and crispy! Our server was awesome and patiently answered all our questions about the menu. My husband got the chicken sandwich and loved it. I recommend the green bean side. We will definitely be coming back!

Two Roads Tavern had the oyster po'boy sandwich my mom had searched for all week, and she loved it. My mushroom melt was juicy and delicious. Oysters "Outer Banks" came in an aluminum tray which we should have put in the oven for a few minutes, but they were tasty anyway.
Note: my burger was cooked to medium. If you would like yours more or less done, be sure to tell them when ordering.

We came just before the diner rush.
We were a party of 8.5 and was excited to get seated right away. We choose to choose outside of the shopping strip that the restaurant is heated away on one of its corners. They had two picnic tables and marble 4 bistro tables. We were helped right away and our food came out fast. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was good I got raw and fried oysters and my craving was satisfied!! There fried oysters were well done not over fried. Some was bland but boring got sauce and ketchup can't fix...lol

Solid. Had lunch two days in a row. Great beers and tasty oysters, fried Buffalo shrimps. Day 1 had. Grilled tuna, hangover burger and picked chicken sandwich. Tasty haze IPAS. DAY 2 grilled mahi (tuna is better), same burger and picked chicken today with Buffalo shrimps - another excellent lunch. Great place not too touristy

Always excellent. We discovered this place through a friend. The bar area is large, always plenty of seating. They also offer outside seating for those who can handle the heat. Inside also has a few large seating areas.
The reason for the 5 star review is the FOOD and SERVICE. It's consistently great. Staff is super attentive. The sandwiches are the highlight of the menu. Their burgers outshine the other "over-hyped" places on the beach. And the prices and the French fries are amazing.

Unexpected gem! Decided to try this place after seeing good reviews. With a group of 3 other women, usually someone is less than thrilled. Only complaint from anyone was a rowdy group at the bar when we walked in, but they left soon after. Fried mahi was perfect, burgers were awesome and the oysters were tasty. Even the sides were good.

We were very excited to try this restaurant, based on the pictures the food seemed delicious. We had a large party of eight which seemed to panic the waitress. We started with fried pickles and they were absolutely delicious. We all then ordered burgers and fries, the burgers were undercooked in the center and unappetizing for that reason and the fries were very overdone. The atmosphere of this restaurant was cozy, sporty surroundings with a local feel. It took a long time to get drink refills, my water was never refilled the entire dinner. 5+ stars. Excellent service, I mean downright friendly and sweet. She had a great sense of humor and put up with our family of 12 of starving ball breakers. Place was small but clean. The food was great! We were disappointed because they were out of wings but the buffalo shrimp made up for that. The burgers fries and onion rings were tasty and delicious. They remembered all the special instructions too which was nice. All in all of you aren't looking for fancy but just good food this is your place. And they took us after 8 when they closed at 9. Super excited that they had lots of vegan and vegetarian burger options. 🍔 food was tasty, and the hand cut fries were definitely a favorite. A bit odd that we could come and eat but they wouldn’t allow us to do takeout. Staff was friendly, seemed a bit flustered with being busy. Overall, very yummy food.

This summer it's been super busy in the Outer Banks, most restaurants had an hour + wait for a table, except this one. I think it's because it's not close to the beach and it's not focused on seafood. For those who passed on this restaurant missed out on some great burgers and atmosphere.
My boyfriend got the "sounds good" burger and enjoyed it, I got the black bean and corn burger with sweet potato fries. If you want a variety of burger options (including 5 vegan options!!) then this is the perfect place for you. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Tucked inside a decent sized shopping center, is TRT. I had a college buddy that was down the same week as me, so we decided to meet for lunch and this place was on my radar, thanks to Yelp. We arrived at 11:30 on Thursday, just as they opened and we grabbed a table for 8 and waited a short while for our other party to arrive. Our server was nice to start, but feel like he grew tired of watching us all catch up and take our time on ordering, but the place was not filling up, so he could have been a bit more patient and let us enjoy lunch without rushing. We ordered takeout from and it underwhelmed. Roughly half the food was good, and the other half forgettable.
We ordered appetizers - fried pickles and cajun cheese curds. The curds were overwhelmed by the batter and not particularly spicy. I enjoyed the pickles, they were well-balanced and maintained a nice crunch. So they batted about .500 there.
We got the kids burger, kids chicken tenders, a bison burger, and local tuna sandwich. I like to start with the good and that means discussing the buffalo. The bison burger was awesome. Perfectly pink and moist

Oysters kitty Hawk are top shelf here. The way they broiled them is definitely a favorite.
The crab cakes are delicious as well.
Drafts are expensive, so we just went with regular drinks.
Service was great and restaurant was clean, friendly staff.
Would recommend and definitely would come back..
I personally only gave a 4 star, because the price on the drafts!

We ordered take out from this place and we loved our food! The oysters are really good amd decent price, I got Boss Hog Burger and it was insanely big, it's like a size of 2 burgers and it was really delocious, the chicken sandwich was also tasty. I am not usually a fan of sweet potato fries but the sweet potato fries on this place was sooooo good! I would definitely recommend this place to any people I know that will visit Kill Devil Hills in NC.

This was another OBX find for authentic and five star fried/baked oysters, shrimp, clams, chicken etc. Hidden in the corner of a strip mall, this was the best seafood we have ever had in the Outer Banks. Large roomy bar restaurant with lots of TV's, following all the pandemic rules. Great beers on tap, but go there for the fried oysters. They had the perfect crunch and bite, and a great white dipping sauce. My shrimp Po boy was the best I have every had on a buttered and toasted bun. The pickle brined and fried chicken was a juicy delight. And their hamburger choices were very good
