The staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish they had the funding for new equipment and rugs which are terribly stained. I think they are an asset to the community.

Great Pool, if swimmers could follow directions. The Lifeguards has their work cut out for them when ill mannered Youth comes to the pool and not follow simple directions such as no diving and wants to cause commotions. Great grass area to lay out a towel.

Glass is always half-full instead of half-empty. Still if you're looking for a quality workout/relaxing experience with everything up and running - this probably isn't for you. However they do have a working pool. As well as two weight rooms one with traditional free weights and the other with a pulley system. An after school program he's also ran here. Doesn't appear like it gets too crowded

Great location, family atmosphere. I was looking for a summer camp for my grandson that had swimming and sports every day plus outdoors in the park. It's the best value in the City - only $150 per week!

My husband and I took a swim class with Doris. She’s amazing! There were about six of us in the class altogether and she was able to tailor it to each of our ability levels. I can’t speak on all the programs or the quality of the entire facility but I can definitely recommend Doris’s swim lessons to everyone from beginners to advanced swimmers.

I don't have a membership here, but I did take swim lessons with Doris. She's a great instructor. She has great patience and she thinks outside of the box to help you conquer areas that you're having difficulties. The pool temp was always warm and comfortable, which is great during the colder months. 10s across the board!! Parking is free just ask the front desk assistant for a parking token. All pros, no cons on my end!

EVER MET A SWIM INSTRUCTOR THAT NEVER SWAM DURING YOUR LESSONS?

Looking for swim classes here? Do yourself a favor and skip to the next center! The swim instructor was hesitant to get in the water. At first I thought, "this is great.; she's sitting on the edge of the pool to see what I needed work on" Fast forward to the second class in and I was in disbelief. She actually NEVER got in the pool. Apparently getting her hair wet is a big no-no! Furthermore, the place is very messy. The building is old. I decided to take the plunge (no pun intended) since the price was reasonable

I use this facility infrequently; and all I can say is the staff at this location are top notch. They are so friendly, respectful, and helpful.

I've actually seen the woman at the front desk, Sheree I think her name is, greet everyone as they walk in. She even knows her member's names. Most places just sign you up then forget about you. There is also a young man who works behind the front desk who is very polite and helpful.

The only reason I didn't give it five full stars is this facility does needs to be updated a little. Other than that they have everything there; fitness room

My child took two sessions of swimming lessons. The instructor was excellent. He was attentive, patient, and informative. They learned a few different styles of swimming along with other basics. I am very satisfied and will definitely go back so my child can take additional lessons.

Just some extra info:

The entrance is on Greene street. Do not go in the door on the side of the building in the parking lot. That isn't where the children activities are.

There is free parking in the lot and they give you a token so you can leave (since it's gated). There is also street parking

This review is for swim lessons only, as we don't use the other facilities. After experimenting at most of the area pools (YMCAs, W. Penn Charter are just two) in an attempt to get our 7 year old competently swimming, we saw a deal on swim lessons here and decided to try it. I had heard amazing things about the instructors from other parents in the area. We were accustomed to very young teachers who coddled our son, never quite pushing him to that point where he was swimming on his own. The instructors here are different-they are in it to get the kids swimming and are serious about their
