Services
North Austin Animal Hospital offers preventive care and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Bringing your pet to one of our veterinarians for a physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep them healthy.
Exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.

At North Austin Animal Hospital, our goal is keeping your pet happy and healthy. Thanks to modern diagnostics and our on-site laboratory, we're able to do just that for sick and injured pets. Diagnostic imaging allows us to examine your pet's internal organs and body systems to better diagnose their conditions.
Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health. When oral hygiene is neglected, pets can develop dental disease which negatively affects other systems in the body and may lead to tooth loss. A pet's dental health is just as important as their physical health, however, it often goes overlooked.
North Austin Animal Hospital provides veterinary surgical care and services for cats and dogs. Using state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced team, we'll provide your pet with high-quality surgery in a safe, stress-free and relaxing environment. Our team of skilled veterinarians and technicians are ready to provide your pet with a range of surgeries.
Dogs and cats can suffer from a multitude of ailments ranging from severe phobias to aggressions. The first step in controlling these issues is to understand the "what and why" of each situation. Proper diagnosis dispels myths in behavior. It is common for a pet owner to assume that their pet is just being spiteful when in fact they may have a behavioral problem.

Someone one social media is complaining about an experience at your hospital without having any understanding of how understaffed the whole industry is so, I'm leaving you a good review to fight anger with empathy. Veterinarians and vet techs its incredibly hard to do what you do on a daily basis but you are appreciated by some of us!

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
We brought our geriatric kitty in when she wasn't feeling well and she normally does NOT do well in vet clinics. Dr. Little, Mary and the rest of the staff we amazing. They got her the help she needed, were very kind and very responsive. We can't thank you them enough.

I can’t say enough positive things about NAAH, the staff there and Dr. Pena. It’s difficult to find good quality care for exotic pets and rats especially tend to have health issues. Through multiple surgeries and upper respiratory infections, I have been treated with such kindness and had all my questions and concerns answered. My mischief would not be alive, happy and healthy today without NAAH. Even when I can sense that staff is overworked and understaffed (a widespread problem of the field in general made worse by the pandemic), they were always so quick to respond to my emails, keeping

To be fair, most of the time they provide good service with nice staff. That's why I gave two stars. However, I can never rely on them in a critical condition because the availability is always one week out. Unfortunately nobody is able to anticipate when their pets are going to be sick, so having a hospital like this is kind of pointless. In addition, some new technicians are just rude by trying to make their customers look like idiots when they ask questions.

After calling two other animals hospitals that provided services for exotic reptiles, I was told I had to be on a waiting list (possibly 4-8 weeks wait) for a well care visit. North Austin Animal Hospital got me in 4 days! The assistant was welcoming and professional. The doctor was informative, took the time to physically examine my bearded dragon, determine his weight, checked for obvious physical abnormalities. She examined him for signs of dehydration and weight loss/gain. Also took sample stool to check for parasites. I was pleased with my first visit! The only issue I didn't like was I had

We brought our guinea pigs here for the first time just a few days ago and will definitely continue to use this vet. The care was professional, the staff were incredibly helpful with all our questions, and the price was reasonable for exotic pets. They also provided an extensive care packet on guinea pigs, which was very nice. Their communication has also been phenomenal, even checking in with us the day after the visit to ensure we didn't have further questions and our pigs were doing well.
