Hyde Park Counseling Professionals is a full-service practice that provides in-person and teletherapy counseling and assessment services. We strive to improve our client's emotional, and behavioral functioning to improve the life, career, and relationships of our clients. Misconceptions about therapy or counseling keep too many people from living a better life.
Too often therapy is considered a sign of weakness and a source of shame. Instead, it is a process that helps people explore, express, manage life's challenges, and a source of self-awareness and strength.

I have been seeing Traci for nearly a year now, and she is truly an amazing therapist! I felt so comfortable opening up to her at our very first session. She exemplifies professionalism and radiates kindness. Traci is trustworthy, empathetic, open-minded and most importantly, an excellent listener. I cannot put into words how helpful she has been to me; she has gone above and beyond my expectations. I have never had trouble finding time to meet with her because she has an open availability and she is willing to work with my schedule. I am very grateful for her and I would recommend her to anyone

I called roughly 3 weeks ago to get set up in their system with my insurance and selected a therapist who I was told would reach out to me the next day. No one reached out the next day let alone the next week. I called back and spoke with Jeri who seems very kind but perhaps unaware that when running a business of this type, you must follow up with perspective patients. I called back 2 weeks later, Jeri acted as though we had never spoken and tried to set me up again with a different therapist. I gave it another chance and never heard from the other therapist to schedule either. Other reviews I

To this day I have not heard from my Therapist Wini walked away with more problems than I had to begin with. Had to get another therapist just to deal with all my issues i originally sought help for plus help me get through the issues my therapist from Hyde park counseling caused by being totally negligent. Office lady is also incredibly ditsy... she gave me 3 different prices and than charged me another one... they had to take the difference from the cost of another session. Will never recommend this place.

I met with a counselor for several sessions but was having trouble getting my insurance to pay the claim. After several phone calls, I finally found out why: the counselor was submitting my visits as "alcohol and drug addiction counseling," which was not covered under my plan. I was confused, as my issue was NOT alcohol and drug addiction; I've never had an issue with this. When I confronted my counselor, she insisted that we had been discussing healthy ways for me to deal with my PTSD, and alcohol and drugs were not; therefore, it was fine for her to submit the claims under ""Alcohol and drug

This is not a review of any individual therapist, but of the inept receptionist, Geri, who phoned the day before my child's first scheduled therapy session (arranged two weeks prior) to let us know that her counselor was canceling due to family issues. This was understandable, and not a problem, so I asked to reschedule for the following week, same time, but was informed that the therapist would not be available on that date, either. I then asked to be scheduled for the same time slot in two weeks time, and the receptionist confirmed the appointment. Long story short, when we arrived for that appointment
