GO Fitness Italian Village
With GO: Fitness, it's not about the money spent, it's about the value you get for your money. This is the reason why we focus on connecting with members, help you to get involved in the fitness gym, and get in the habit of using the health club. We want GO: Fitness to be a value to you. Owner Nick Osborne has been in the fitness and personal training industry for over 20 years.

He knows that 24-hour access or 100 treadmills will not keep you coming to the gym or make you successful. It is our connection with the members, our customer service, and giving members all the tools they need to get lasting results in a fun way. GO: Fitness Center Italian Village wants to make sure you reach your goals.

Equipment is ok and that’s the best part of the gym. Patrons and staff not great (not terrible but not great) - you won’t make friends here - just an ok place to put headphones on and lift without interacting with anyone. Locker rooms are dated and slightly gross from a cleanliness perspective. If you try to cancel they play dumb that they can’t do it over phone yada yada “they need a senior manager to cancel membership yada yada” so you have to physically come in (jump through more arbitrary hoops) then they charge you for two months after you leave. Not recommended.

Don’t waste your money. Customer service is awful. Equipment is only okay.
Also there are signs all over stating a mask must be worn, but none of the employees are ever wearing them.

Probably my favorite gym I’ve ever been a member of! Great equipment, even better people! Started personal training with them only a few months ago and have already made more progress in 3 months than I think I’d made in several years prior! Cannot recommend this gym enough!

Now that I've been getting back into shape, I've been interested in trying out other gyms in my neighborhood. Since this Go Fitness is rather close, I decided to give it a try. Overall, I see both pros and cons, hence the straight down the middle, three star rating.

They do have COVID health and safety precautions set in place from the moment you walk in the door, which is awesome. However, they did require a mask, even during activity. I felt that kinda odd because I personally have trouble running or doing cardio in a mask but whatever. Other pros include the pool in the summer. Heck

Great gym overall. Clean and organized with a large selection of equipment. Guest service is strong and they've done a pretty good job adjusting to government COVID regulations. I feel safe working out here. Bravo, Go Fitness!

I have been a member for 5 years at this gym and I have been severely disappointed with the decline of service and treatment from the manager, TJ. I have had two recent interactions with him that have really made me consider leaving and it appears others leaving reviews have had similar experiences with him as well.

During the onset of COVID, it was near impossible to pause automatic payments when the gym was completely closed. They tried to keep you paying month-to-month despite not being able to use the facility. I understand they are probably trying to keep their heads above water but this

Small facilities, very cramped, far too expensive for what you get. Tried cancelling my membership due to COVID 19 and they literally asked me for a doctors note, which I found incredibly humiliating and patronizing as someone who already has to trudge through the bureaucratic hoops of chronic lung disease. Sounds like they're not doing too well since this is how they handled that request. I've found there are plenty of better gyms in the area that offer way more for the price you get.

I would give zero stars to this gym if I could. The manager is extremely rude and blames the customer for problems that arise. Did not refund our money and said we were being difficult. I do not recommend this place.

This placed used to be decent. Before covid-19 way over crowded during primetime and the equipment needed work. And now during covid, I need to go into the gym physically to cancel my membership....I find this a bit absurd considering the current environment and concerning that management has not done anything to update this process.
Edit: I cancelled my membership and they keep charging my card. I can’t recommend this place to anyone and I’ll be opening a case with the BBB.

This used to be a great gym but its continued to struggle with maintenance and overcrowding. This gym serves the apartments in the area and the public yet there are only 5 treadmills. There are never any available in the mornings or peak times after work. Even worse, if one of them goes down, it will be at least a month before its fixed. Get used to seeing maintenance signs all around.

As an athlete, this gym is as good as it gets! It's the perfect space for functional strength training and it's an environment that encourages creativity. The staff and trainers are first class!

I have never been one to be described as a "gym rat" and have always found the cookie cutter corporate giant gyms to be intimidating and impersonal however, when I joined Go Fitness, the staff genuinely made me feel at home. They took the time to get to know me and accommodate my goals. The atmosphere truly feels more like a community and very open, not the judgey feeling you get at other gyms. The classes are very helpful and fun as well. I could not be happier with joining this gym and my confidence in my own fitness has never been better. If you enjoy a more personal and genuine

Convenient but severe lack of cardio equipment, especially treadmills. Expect to wait during peak times like right after work on weekdays. They got room for more so very frustrating when you cant get in and do what you want.

I have fallen in love with GoFit IV. There is free parking, the gym is clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. Regardless of the time of day, I never feel like people are standing on top of me waiting to work out which seems to happen at most gyms. There is plenty of equipment to accommodate everyone's needs. Most classes they provide are FREE like Metafit and Yoga. If you are looking for great class teachers, they definitely have it and they cater to all ages. They supply so many options to take advantage of when it comes to personal training and they allow for

GO Fitness has changed my life. Seriously.

Back in 2009, I joined their Grandview location and by 2010 started training weekly with some friends and Master Coach James. About a year ago they opened up this location, which is closer to my house. James meets me over here now.

I am in such better health because of GO. From the weekly training James gives, to "home work" that I do between our sessions, and the super friendly nature of both the staff and many other patrons, GO IV has given me what I needed to get results.

I recently received a 30-day free trial for the GO Fitness gym in Italian Village. After receiving a tour of the two-story gym and learning about all of the classes and benefits to membership (including a pool in the summertime), I decided to purchase an annual membership immediately. You will not be disappointed with this location OR the knowledgeable and friendly staff. As someone who is not looking to participate in the next Arnold Classic, it was important to me to find a gym with nice equipment, but also a friendly, non-judgemental environment. If you are looking for the same kind of place

This is a beautiful open space, with modern gym equipment, and it's impecably clean. The monthly dues are on par with the YMCA and Short North Fitness, but the space is a lot nicer. The classes are pretty small and the instructors are good.
