SHALOM CENTER Shalom Center is dedicated to the revitalization of LA and Orange County neighborhoods by providing a full range of programs and services that encourage, create, and support homeownership through faith.

SHALOM CENTER for T.R.E.E. of Life(Shalom Center) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) faith-based organization founded in 1997 that provides comprehensive housing counseling, training and client advocacy services to help low- and moderate-income homebuyers and tenants in the Los Angeles County and Orange County areas secure and maintain safe and affordable housing.
Services
Meet Mr. Kim and his family, recent immigrants from South Korea who dreamed of owning a home in America. Their dreams came true after working with Shalom Center. Due to high rent prices in Los Angeles, Mr. Kim and his family of four were renting a one-bedroom apartment. Within 10 years of my immigration to the United States, I achieved the American dream, and purchased my first home.
We are now offering internship volunteer program in the fields of housing services, office assistance, public relation, public administration, and sociology. We are extremely proud of the work we do and invite you to join us. With your help, we can serve our community and benefit those in need of assistance.
We at Shalom Center offer a wide range of services to help the potential homeowner which include homebuyer education, access to down-payment assistance, access to affordable loan products, and a credit rebuilding program. We also provide access to a network of lender, realtor, and insurance partners.
The Low Income Purchase Assistance Program helps first-time, low-income homebuyers purchase homes by providing loans to cover the down payment, acquisition, and closing costs. Eligibilities- 1 First-time homebuyers who have not had an ownership interest in any real property at any time during the last three years.
Schedule a one-on-one appointment with our certified counselors to find the best solution to your current financial situation. Our counselors will help you develop an action plan and budget. These individualized plans can include possible solutions such as loan modification, refinancing, repayment and forbearance plans.

I'm glad I found the Shalom Center. I've been nervously looking into purchasing a home and how I need to prepare for that major investment. There is so much to research and it's pretty overwhelming.

Shalom Center offers the HUD approved Homebuyer Education class for $50 and it really cleared up a lot of confusion for me. The class is held one Saturday a month in English, and they have at least a Spanish and Korean class too, which I'm sure is super helpful if English is not your first language. Some of the concepts were over my head even in English!
