Atwater Village Therapy is a group practice made up of dedicated, skilled therapists ready to help you. As doctoral-level clinicians, we have completed, or are completing, the most extensive graduate training possible in psychological theory, practice, and research. We use that knowledge to craft a customized therapy that meets your specific needs.

We value inclusiveness and have consciously created a space where all can seek help and self-discovery. Our clients come in a variety of races, sexualities, genders, religions, and relationship structures. Tell us a bit about what you're looking for help with and we'll match you with a therapist.
Services
There is no substitute for having a trained expert to talk to - one who will provide support, listen objectively, and help you navigate whatever challenges you are facing in your personal, family, or professional life. Our therapists will guide you and give you invaluable insights into who you are, why you are repeating certain patterns, and how to move forward with your best interests in mind.
Something powerful initially drew you and your partner together, but now you find yourself stuck in a pattern. Maybe it's constant arguments, maybe it's a sense of disconnect, maybe trust has been broken, or maybe everything is ok enough, but it feels like your relationship could be stronger. Perhaps you and your partner have decided to end your relationship and could use some help navigating that process.
Group therapy is a unique and meaningful experience. It's a space where people can be real about their struggles, learn new skills, and both offer and gain support from others who understand. Decades of research has shown that group therapy is incredibly effective in helping people manage a variety of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, impulse control, OCD, and ADHD.
A psychological assessment may help you better understand whether some of the struggles you face are a result of ADHD symptoms. Dr. Grace Carlson is providing ADHD assessments for adults (18+) who are interested in determining if they meet criteria for an ADHD diagnosis. During the feedback session you will review the results of the assessment and recommendations for how to be less impacted by any ADHD symptoms that are identified.
I see my role as being a supportive guide who can help you develop a deeper understanding of your emotional experiences and needs. We will discuss tools and strategies that will allow you to move through life in a more grounded way. I find that with this knowledge comes empowerment and deeper connection with yourself.

Liz has been a close colleague of mine for the past 8 years. She is an insightful and empathic clinician who is particularly well suited to working with clients who have experienced trauma. Liz is warm, engaged, and calming. She is highly skilled and is trained in a variety of modalities, allowing her to better meet her clients' diverse needs. Liz is an excellent clinician and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
