Pig Beach
Pig Beach is an exciting foray into the Smoked Meat Universe, unlike anything in NewYork City. We experiment with tried and true BBQ technique, adding worldly influences and forward thinking cooking. Local purveyors, sustainable seafood and market fresh produce are our standard. Pig Beach is also a destination for contemporary cocktails and wine.

With a focus on local breweries and distilleries, we take pride in serving up several local beers and wines on tap as well as a classically-based but inventive cocktail repertoire. With our new approach to "BBQ" and an elevated beverage program, paired with our individual New York City histories, the menu at Pig Beach is an alchemy of multiple cooking disciplines, with a strong focus on live wood fire.

Objective stuff: Pig beach is a huge place - in non-COVID world, could comfortably fit 200+ people. Lots of dynamic seating - long tables for friends, indoor/outdoor, high tops, can also reserve spots for bigger groups. Super efficient ordering system - food line stays short, you get buzzed when your food is ready, it comes out quickly, you can open a tab at one of the two bars (one indoor, one outdoor) and order from both. Big outdoor patio/space - probably 2x bigger than the indoor area. Checks all the boxes of traditional BBQ menu you'd want. Lots of good beer. Great name too? "Pig

This could have easily been a 5 star rating but the lack of transparency when I visited makes me give them 2 stars. I've wanted to go here for a long time but never made it but I decided to attend for my birthday in January. The place was freezing cold. It was as if you was sitting outside. I later found out the boiler was broken. Noone warn me before I sat to eat my food. If they did I would have simply ordered my food to go. I guess they was more focus on having a one time customer instead of a returning customer. They ruin my birthday dinner.

Good BBQ does exist in NYC and you can find it at Pig Beach! From the Smoker I ordered the Sampler Platter (1/4 Rack of Ribs, 1/4 lb of Shoulder, Brisket & Turkey) for $36. I also ordered two sides, Mac N Cheese (Small) $7 & Smoked Jalapeño Slaw (Small) $7. I shared this meal with my partner and boy were we happily stuffed. We both ordered a craft beer from the bar, which has a great selection of local beer & classic brews. It's also a full bar so you can order cocktails. We sat inside since it's colder this time of the year. They have lots of screens playing sports inside

The ambience of this place is what wins more than the food. It has high ceilings, nice wooden tables and ample room for distancing from other parties. However, the brisket was a bit dry, collard greens plain, and drinks were okay. At least the mac and cheese was good and staff was friendly. The outdoor area is great when one can sit out although the Gowanus is not a great place to sit next to!

Pig Beach catered a job on which I was working. I really enjoyed their food. Even the leftovers were good. My family enjoyed it too. The staff which catered the food were very friendly and accommodating. I would totally patronize them again and would recommend them. In fact, I want to patronize them again which is the reason for my less than five rating. It’s frustrating getting information or getting in contact with a human on the phone. I know their business is food more than customer service but ultimately I should be able reach a person with information. I called because I could not find

We made the trip out to Brooklyn to see if Pig Beach lives up to the hype. Not too far from the Atlantic Avenue subway stop where most of the trains go. I can see why this would be a great hangout place, especially at night - they have indoor wooden table seating but a larger outdoor space and a bar indoors and out. I can see hanging outdoors under the string lights with a few drinks after a brisket sandwich.

I thought the brisket was better than the baby back ribs...although the "bark" they were able to achieve on both was impressive, like meat candy. While good, the ribs I&apos

It was an unseasonably warm night in Brooklyn, so we were hoping to dine outside. Pig Beach had good reviews and was only a few minutes from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. I'm torn. The food here is magnificent. But the salt makes it extremely difficult to eat. I don't have high blood pressure, but my skin starts to get hot and sweaty when I eat this. Long story short if they reduced the salt by 1/2 it would be PERFECT!

We were lucky enough to get a cashier who understood the question of if the sides were good. Most BBQ places focus on the meats with the sides as an afterthought- NOT THIS PLACE! As a Black woman who makes great collard greens for the holidays, I've never been more impressed by non-soul food greens.

Ribs: tasty but extremely salty

Lots of good food
Had ps bs sandwich
Had one house burger single and double
Great pickles
The bs sandwich had way too much pepper,
Say too salty, and very dry, no juice at all.
The ps sandwich on the other hand
Very juicy and tender
Delicious

My friend and I dined at Pig Beach on a Friday evening. The weather was nice so we sat outside. Upon entry their staff checks for vaccination cards and ID. You order and pay for your food inside then you are free to sit wherever. They have a bar outside in their Main Beer Garden area.

I tried their pulled pork sandwich and ordered one of their drink pitchers. Drinks are about $15/$16 and the pitcher is $38 (about 4 cups). My sandwich was full of flavor and I instantly knew I would be coming back. I also ordered corn bread which I wasn't a huge fan of.

Can't wait to return.

First time coming here and had lunch with a few friends. Place was busy but not like packed busy. Was able to snag a table after ordering. Got the sample platter and it was plenty of food. Also ordered wings. Everything was tasty! Brisket and ribs were tender and not dry. The wings were amazing. Will definitely be back at some point. Also, they check for vaccination and give you a wristband in order to get in.

We just decided on a whim "Hey, let's go to New York!" & were winging it our entire visit. We saw Pig Beach in the map and went for it. So far everything we had eaten was delicious and we were looking forward to it.

It's a large and spacious location with one large food counter and two large bars with lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor) in between. It definitely gives you backyard barbecue vibes.

We ordered a sausage, burger and a brisket meal that came with macaroni and cheese. Everything was very good and well portioned to match the price. We also had a lot of

The BBQ here is pretty good. The baby back ribs are flavorful and the wings are delicious as well. However, you may want to avoid the wings if you are not a fan of saucy wings. The yankee red hot sausage however, was disappointment. It was tough, dry and not worth getting at all.
Overall the bbq here is decent, but I prefer Hometown BBQ.

This is by far our favorite BBQ place in NYC. We have been here 3 or 4 times now, sometimes getting it to go. But eating outside is enjoyable, although it tends to lean more towards the day drinking crowd as opposed to people there to eat BBQ. But the brisket is amazing, my daughter is only 5 and she raves about it. My wife really likes the hot honey wings, they are a dry rub and they come with this amazing sauce on the side. The pork is also very good, and we have enjoyed all the sides we have gotten here (Mac and cheese, fries, cornbread). We sometimes get the sampler or combo which includes

I came to Pig Beach Friday night with my guy. It was my 1st time visiting after it was recommended by his coworker. The man at the door was extremely friendly and welcoming. There was a big crowd inside but we would have easily been able to be seated if we weren't doing takeout. There are about 3-4 big TVs inside by the bar, where they had the knicks game playing. All around cool vibes.

For food, we ordered the fried chicken sandwich, half rack of ribs, half pound of the pork shoulder, mac and cheese and cornbread. Wow, everything was bursting with flavors! The chicken sandwich was so juicy

Really cool place that's sort of tucked away. Great bbq food and drinks. Ambience is that of a standard beer hall you'd find in brooklyn. Portions are a little bit small but the prices reflect that fairly I think.

Definitely good for a big group of friends!

This rating is about the venue itself, not food, since I didn't eat much. Lots of space especially outdoors, excellent people watching and dog-watching, decent selection of craft beer, frozen boozy slushies were tasty (albeit overpriced at $15/drink), and I didn't order food, but I liked the 2 items I shared: mac & cheese was satisfyingly smoky, cornbread was satisfyingly sweet

Love this spot. Especially for group gatherings. The food is great, and even though it’s busy, we’ve always managed to find a spot even for large parties. My best friend even had her son’s first birthday party here with about 40 people dropping in and out around lunch time.
Our recent trip this wknd has us ordering the chef Jeff brisket sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, Mac and cheese, and sausage stuffed with cheese and hot cherry peppers. Everything was fantastic. They put a bunch of meat on the sandwiches and the meat is great. The Mac and cheese is really creamy. And my boyfriend can’t

We had the pork shoulder, brisket sandwich, hot honey wings, and the mac and cheese - all fantastic. There are two bars to order drinks. The music and atmosphere was excellent too.

Pig Beach is a party. Not just the private rooms which are great for fun events, the whole place feels like an exciting carnival where anything can happen. Patrons were younger and better dressed than I'd expected, and the beach theme extends to the decor, the bar, and the spacious outdoor section. Indeed, despite the temperature flirting with the 90's yesterday, there were more people outside than inside.

Like many large operation BBQ joints, you order and pay at the counter, then pick up your food when it's ready. My buzzer went off in under five minutes; they operate quickly

For the space alone, I feel like Pig Beach deserves 5 stars. This is probably one of the only large, spread out beer garden/backyard BBQ spots in NYC. The huge backyard has picnic tables, high tops, an outdoor bar, and a view of the Gowanus canal.

I enjoyed the Beak & Skiff hard cider with a cup of ice, and we ordered the fries (v good), some ribs, wings, and pickles. Everything was tasty, you can't go wrong.

This is a great place to meet with a group of people, throw a surprise party, or a dog birthday. Unlike most places in NYC, if you don't know the exact number of people showing

Wow the seating here is amazing for large group but if you are also hungry and want a quick bite, the food came out in maybe 10 mins after we ordered.
The pork shoulder was fire but the gem was the sauces they gave and the Mac and cheese.
I hear they are opening a location in LIC, very excited to go more often when it opens.
The price was a little steep for the portion size but you are likely also paying for the space of the Venue.

Pig Beach

Was craving for some great BBQ and found this spot. Heard it was a long wait so we got there 10 minutes before it hit 12pm and there was already a line outside on a Saturday. They take your temperature at the door and you will need to sign in for dining in. There is no table service.

You order at the cashier and they will notify you once your food is ready. So after ordering just find a seat outside. Great space for outdoor dining!

I see a lot of family dining here. Tables are first come first serve. There is also a separated bar and drink section.

We got the Sampler Platter which

Great spot for good food, drinks, and ambiance. + also dog friendly!

Hung out here on a early Friday night, was very full but tables are nice and spaced out. Most tables have umbrellas too - if you're looking for shade.

Gets pretty loud, just an FYI.

What we got --
Fried chicken sandwich: crispy, tasty! As expected
Brisket: tender, flavorful didn't even need the sauces, but also get sauces. They're good!
Cole slaw: was on the sweet side, with pineapple (not my fav) but could be yours if you like that!
Mac: a solid side, nostalgic cheesy feelings
Collard greens: with little

The food was extremely delicious! My visit was unplanned and now I plan to come again in the future. I recommend focusing on anything with meat! I had the hamburger with pull pork and a side of mac and cheese and fries. The large portion can feed 2-3 people so be aware of that. Overall, when I go back, I'll tackle more of the meat, cause the pull pork was phenomenal! Also the environment was really causal and friendly. I don't own a dog, but this is also a pet friendly place. 5/5 all around.

The front of the restaurant now has umbrellas, high chairs and tables. The back has low benches with umbrellas to help with the sun. As soon as you enter they ask of you can stay for maximum 90 minutes. It was spacious packed in my 90 minutes. Food was quickly made, and good. Not a big fan of non baked mac and cheese. Drinks were good. The ready made cocktails were watered down.
Great experience and service.
