Scott Mecham - Is a Personal Trainer located in the greater Los Angeles area. Scott is a high energy trainer whose passion is working with obese children and adults. He desires to see people of all ages and backgrounds improve their quality of life through nutrition and exercise. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge along with a passion for helping others reach their potential goals and overcome hurdles.
In just one hour workout you'll get a complete full body workout, (Abs and upper/lower body). We will teach you proper form and techniques (our coach is a certified NASM instructor- more about him below). We use everything from our own body weight, benches, resistance bands, medicine balls, battle ropes, agility ladders, hurdles, and much more.
We structure the program so you can always give it your best. No more overtraining. No more excuses. The program is broken into 10, four-week camps per year. The usual schedule is four-weeks on, one-week off, with a two-week break every three camps. Every workout starts and finishes the same way, with consistent and effective warm-up and cool-down routines which are critical to your health and continued improvement through the program.

Coach Scott is by far the BEST workout instructor I've EVER had. I've held memberships in all the gyms, have did the whole personal trainer thing, I've done cross fit and all that was good. Scott is GREAT! His classes are full of fun tasks that make working out less annoying! Every time I think, ok I'm NOT showing up to class tonight because ( insert the billion excuses we all have on deck ready at any moment so we Don't have to do a thing) I think, oh dang. I'm about 2 months in and it's been absolutely a great experience. There is an abundance of times to choose from (in person and on Zoom) and I have noticed an overall change not only in my body but in my life in general, since the commitment to going to bootcamp and to the group of people I workout with has given me a structure based on a healthy decision. So I have to admit that it took me way too long to actually start this bootcamp, in part because I was somewhat traumatized by a past group exercise situation which was led by an ex-navy seal... There were a lot of tears involved back then. Now that I finally started (I'm 2 weeks in) I do wish I started sooner because maybe I wouldn't have gained 20 pounds last year if I had :) There is an in-person (at the park) option and a Zoom option, the workouts are challenging, the people are nice and fun, and Scott is very encouraging without being scary. I haven't cried yet!! #5stars

Coach Scottie is the best! I really struggle with exercising regularly and managing my weight. His HIT workouts are different every time, and very challenging. His Bootcamp helps me to stay focused and prioritize my health. He sends out nutrition tips and does challenges to get us going. Coach Scottie offers plenty of modifications for my bad knee but also pushes me to do my best. For the first time in 20 years, I have regained strength in my bad knee and started running 5ks. I also learned to box with Coach Scottie, which has been become my favorite hobby. He is super knowledgeable about anatomy

I found Workout LA by googling "outdoor workouts" when the Stay At Home orders were enforced. I bought a Groupon and thought I would give it a shot. I've never thought I was the Bootcamp type but I was wrong. Scott is so motivating and fun! It's never the same workouts and everyone is so friendly. I highly recommend it.... I'll never go back to the gym, Workout LA is the spot!!

My wife and I have been doing WorkoutLA for the past 7-8 months after initially finding Coach Scottie through a Groupon. Workout LA is basically group workouts at the park, but what makes it unique is that Coach Scottie designs his workouts as games so that he sort of tricks you into getting a great workout every single time. Being a busy professional, it is really convenient to have someone else design workouts for you and my body has definitely gotten much stronger. Since the activities are fun, I really love seeing my wife push herself in ways she's never done before. Since the pandemic

5 months on and I'm loving my boot camp. Scottie teaches through positive motivation. I am impressed with the level of detail applied in this boot camp.  The classes are fun and diverse. The people attending the classes are also supportive.  Scottie approach is attentive to structural alignment and listening to your body. It’s a great class--never repetitive and surprisingly fun.

I have been consistently coming to this bootcamp for 5 years now. I have left two other reviews and nothing has changed. My experience here is still the most motivating and amazing thing that has happened in regards to my health!!
I specifically attend the 5:30am studio city class, but have crashed some of the other classes when I wasn't able to make the morning class. Coach Scott has the best attitude and has the most amazing outlook on the "best version of yourself!" This motivation is difficult to find in any workout environment, which is what makes this bootcamp so different

I love workout LA. When I first signed up I was mad at myself that I would have to get up 12 mornings and work out at 5:30 in the morning but I just finished with my second month and am planning on signing up for the whole year. The classes are amazing and Scottie is a great coach. The girls in the class are all rooting for you even when you're on different teams or competing against each other. Everyone is there to get stronger and everyone works together to make sure we all meet our goals. I would sincerely suggest checking out this boot camp. It's amazing and you feel so much stronger

When it comes to me and exercise, there are 2 truths: 1. I can't do it by myself; and 2. If I don't get it done early in the day, it's just not going to happen. I've never loved exercising and my work schedule can get crazy, so a group class that happens first thing in the morning tends to work best for me. I purchased the 3 - month groupon deal and I am 1 class away from completing my 1st 4-week session. Morning classes are held MWF and evening classes MWTh.
After the first class, I was definitely sore but Arek pushed me to not skip the 2nd class and that is actually the best decision I made. Despite my wobbly gait and inability to drop my bum even an inch for a squat... the 2nd class put me into the momentum to attend every class.
Every class is a little different with the workout and Arek gives alternative exercises for previous injuries that may prevent/further damage. Also, he has a nutrition

I've now been doing this Boot camp and eating plan routine with Arek for 4 months so wanted to add to my additional review which was after my first month. While I still continue to enjoy the boot camp, this review is more about the eating plan that Arek has worked with me on and more importantly, supported me on, talked me off the ledge with unexpected weight gains and constantly been there when I needed advice or just to talk through my fears and thoughts. I'm down 41lbs (well, I was before the weekend but since I know my gain and loss pattern now, I know it'll come back down

I'm going on my 4th month with Workout LA, used to be called LA Adventure Bootcamp. Which originally I had signed up with Groupon and been coming back ever since. I was going to the 7pm class when I first started, and one day couple months ago, I decided I give the 5:30 am a shot... Well, I never switched back... Love it! I wake up extra early, but its totally worth having my evenings free. The only thing thats keeps us away from camp is getting sick :-/ Plus having Arek as a trainer is a big plus! Arek use to do Los Angeles Boot Camp Adventures (check out their old reviews). Now it's WorkoutLA. Let me tell you this I hate working out! Thanks to Arek i look forward to every MW&F! This is my 3rd camp so far & there's no going back. My first camp I lost 5 pounds. Little by little your endurance and balance gets better. Also if you are scared of being yelled at don't worry, Arek is far from that. He is so funny, motivating and encouraging. There is also Kim who does the Wednesday class and she's always fun. I love knowing I'm working out my buns! Kim is so sweet
