Mack's Garage

Mack's Garage on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a great place to go for all things quality automotive repairs. They are reliable and consistent in their level of customer service. The staff here is very skilled and efficient at getting everything ready.

We took my wife's GMC Acadia (P.O.S.) to Mack's with an electrical issue. It has to stay there over the weekend (we dropped it off late Friday) because of inclimate weather. Long story short; it ended up being a clogged skylight drain that was diverting rain water to the battery compartment. They blew it out with compressed air and didn't charge us a dime! First class!

A good friend of mine, recommended them. They said that they have always went to their shop for car repairs, and always did good work.

After vising Gerald's Tires they informed me I had a valve cover gasket leak and they recommended going to Mack's Garage. Unfortunately, I trusted their recommendation. Mack's Garage left my quarter panels heavily scratched from the job. They failed to put down anything to protect my vehicles body and paint. Not to mention, they left a socket wrench in my engine bay after working on my vehicle, that could've easily caused severe damage. They also failed to put back wiring harnesses on the engine block, and likely threw them out. I've driven roughly 3000 miles since this repair and I already have

My car was overhearting and had to have some major repairs. Geralds recommended Macks so I took my car there. The customer service was pleasant and my car is fixed and running great now. It was expensive but it was a better option than getting it fixed at the dealership. The only reason I took a star off is because they need to update their business hours on google. They are not open on Saturdays and don't operate until 6pm during the week. I would take my car there again if i have any problems

We have had to take our truck here a couple of times last minute for off the wall issues. Each time they have been extremely professional and courteous. When we thought repairs would be insanely expensive it turned out to be something simple and easy for them to fix. They had our truck in and out in a snap. It also helps they are just down the road from base in case we needed to tow our vehicle there. I highly recommend them.

I know everyone is a little leery when taking his car to the shop - but I can say hands down that this place is awesome!!! A guy ran a red light, totaling my Audi, so I had to dist off the old 2003 Dakota from up north, whose drivetrain and body exhibited extensive rust. Jimmy and Dale did a FIRST CLASS job in identifying and replacing all necessary components, constantly kept me abreast of progress (she needed a ton of work), and ultimately converted the old Dodge into an amazing ride - I can't believe it!!! And the price was far better than I had anticipated. They actually discouraged from replacing

Fast, friendly and accommodating establishment! They will never try to take advantage of you and are always honest about your vehicle! Would highly recommend them to anyone who need quality and affordable work done ! The receptionist is also as cute and sweet as can be :)

Reasonably priced but don't expect to get your car back in a quick time frame. I took my car here to have several leaks fixed. I asked them to identify all leaks and let me know what the cost to fix each of them would be. The mechanic called and said he needed to replace the valve cover gasket first to see where the other leaks were. After that, the car sat in the bay for two more weeks and when I came to pick it up there were three separate puddles under the car from other leaks he didn't even know about. I'm not going to use Mack's again. He takes too long and didn't even look for the other leaks

My boyfriend's car was broken into with multiple items stolen ! The owners response was he found the car open closed it up and moved it . NEVER called us and his response to the officer , I didnt call the police because you guys never do anything anyway and I was ready to go after a long day . However he told the office he found the car 8am Saturday morning !!!! Something isn't adding up. Their unprofessionalism is RIDICULOUS!!! Officer noted NO SIGNS of forced entry and they were the only ones with keys and the alarm was never activated !!!! Do NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLES WITH THEM !!!!

Great service good prices. I came here after someone else "fixed" something. When it was squeaking the next day, they said they couldn't take care of me. Mack's did. Why not go where they know how to fix things right the first time?

Mack's was recommended to me by friends. I was stuck when the starter in my Hyundai Sonata died and I had to have it towed. Compared to the Hyundai dealer who said I'd have to wait for the part, Mack's did the job same day, saved me $200, and picked me up at my house when the job was done. I don't see how it could be better than that.
