When we say functional fitness, we mean movements you perform almost every day. Our goal at Ganbatte Fitness is to help you perform them safely, quickly, and efficiently. By performing these movements at a high intensity (relative to the individual), you are not only increasing your strength and stamina, but you are also reaping the benefits of an intense cardio workout.
Program consists of three one-on-one classes with a personal coach to provide an assessment and intensive breakdowns of movements to ensure proper form and technique, both for your safety and for you to have the best experience for future workouts. All non-experienced athletes must enroll in and complete our Fundamentals Program before joining our GWOD classes.

Extremely positive environment - movements that at one point intimidated me grew effortless. It's tough to strike the right balance of intensity and no pressure/all levels welcome, but they really find a way. Good people, inclusive place, highly recommended for someone who is not into agro bro exercise culture but wants to get in there!

This is the best gym ever! I started working out here after just having arrived in the country and the atmosphere was so encouraging that it not only helped me get into shape but it also helped me to adapt to the life here in general because I was having such a good time during each class.
The classes are always something to look forward to, everyone there is so kind and welcoming. The main coach JP is extremely warm hearted and all the coaches are super motivating and encouraging. I had to stop coming here for other reasons but while I was there everything was great.
The staff was super knowledgable and willing to help, especially Coach Nile. She was patient and was always willing to help and explain what you could be doing better.
The gym itself is completely outfitted with everything you need. Matts, barbells, weights, etc. Over that, they followed all Covid protocols and kept everything clean and safe; I never felt like I was in any danger. I've been going to CrossFit Ganbatte for around 5 years. The gym has a large outdoor space where we now do our workouts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is also a lot of parking, which is a huge bonus in Los Angeles. We have a lot of room to be socially distanced during workouts and everyone wears masks. This place is fully equipped (you get your own barbell, weights, assault bike, rower, etc.) in your own individual station. Ganbatte Fitness is an outstanding gym. They've got good coaches and clean equipment and great classes... but they foster COMMUNITY. They are inclusive and welcoming to all, and JP is an incredible coach. Taking the fundamentals was such a great choice and being a part of Ganbatte really opened my mind to a variety of fitness I hadn't taken on before. Thank you! Highly recommended.

Never thought I would like going to the gym, let alone CrossFit, as much as this place has made me love it! Fantastic, supportive community, excellent and knowledgeable coaches, well priced, and stellar location with ample parking and a spacious set up inside. I have gotten measurably stronger and fitter in less than a year. They offer a variety of classes too, so you can do more than just traditional CrossFit programming. Highly recommend Ganbatte!

Where do I even start with how unique and amazing this place is. I've been an athlete my entire life and this has been hands down my favorite place to train. And you don't have to consider yourself an athlete to train here - if you're willing to show up and do the work and learn, you're already an athlete - all are welcome.

I consider myself a fairly fit person. Prior to CrossFit, I was spinning, doing bootcamps, running half marathons and was fresh out of the LA marathon, but there was something about CrossFit that has always intimidated me. I finally decided to take the leap and try it out a few months ago. And I am SO glad that I did.
Even though I had pretty good endurance coming into the gym, it still kicked my butt! And it continues to do so every work out-- which is exactly what I want out of my gym/work-out.

Ganbatte is more Than a gym, it's a family!
I was only here for a month because I was moving to Long Beach and needed a bootcamp to attend while waiting for my house to be ready. The bootcamp class is tough but it's a lot of fun. Air assault bikes, rowers etc.... all the instructors are really good and are there for any help or questions you may have. I miss this place and wish I didn't move so far away so I can keep my membership here. Thank you for your hospitality JP!

I found Ganbatte on Yelp in late 2018 and worked out there for a couple of months which I ended up cancelling due to my crazy travel schedule.
But to echo the other reviews, the place is great, the instructors are awesome and friendly. I'm on the overweight side of the spectrum and the instructors are always super helpful to adjust the exercise for you to be able to at least complete. That way you get the sense of incremental progress and achievement rather than feeling that you can't do any of those crazy looking moves/reps.

I started Ganbatte Boot Camp late last year, and got hooked. The way they lay out the workouts, you can go just about every day and hit different parts of your body. The improvement you see in yourself and others is quick, and it feels like you're on a big team where everyone wants eachother to win.
I've been a lifelong gamer, and had no endurance or any sort of fitness to speak of. Ganbatte changed that so quickly, I was able to do 2 Spartan races back-to-back and placed way above my expectations!
The best part about Ganbatte as a whole is that it's also a Crossfit gym. My personal

Coming in with *zero* CrossFit background but had been an avid runner following an EXOS training program for a couple years, I was extremely nervous yet determine to see if CrossFit was something that could help me overcome, lets just say, a bad personal rut and performance plateau. I used to go to a Crossfit gym in Chino Hills for about 3 years. Had to move away from the area to be near work in DTLA. Went to a few different boxes in the 90039 area and in a 10-mile radius was not satisfied. A good friend recommended me to try out Ganbatte. I was very impressed what they had to offer in comparison to other local boxes. They're extremely professional, organized and continually re-investing back into their business. All the trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. Everybody is quick to lend a helping hand.

From my first intro class to my first bar muscle up - Ganbatte has been an integral and necessary part of my progression into crossfit and strength conditioning. I have only the highest of praise for CrossFit Ganbatte. I dropped in while on vacation in Los Angeles, and I couldn't have been met with a warmer welcome. In echoing other reviewers' sentiments, JP, Pheby, and Allen immediately made me feel at ease and seamlessly integrated me into the Ganbatte community. I've been a member of a well-known box in New York for approximately a year, yet I can honestly say that the sense of community there pales in comparison to that of Ganbatte's. So, A+ in that regard.

The Crossfit Ganbatte community is incredibly welcoming. Im a first timer and have always been intimidated by the daunting workouts. My worries were eased once I walked through the door. The instructor and students are super friendly, patient, and helpful. Did I mention the gym is clean too!

My husband found Ganbatte when he was shopping around for a crossfit place and immediately loved it. I joined a while later and while I was initially intimidated by the thought of weight lifting, the coaches are all so thorough and encouraging that I'm still seeing improvements in my overall fitness.
I also have a toddler who everyone in my regular time slots knows and loves because she hangs out in the kid's room while I workout. I definitely couldn't have gotten back to my pre-baby size

For all of those in search of a Crossfit gym I know how you feel.. Been there done that, its not easy, there are so many and each Crossfit offers different vibes, workouts, and just overall comfort. After all is pretty pricey so you want to make sure you pick the best one.
I tried several Crossfit's since they offer free sessions. I came across Ganbatte because it was near my house. First thing it was a bit tricky to find. In a back building, the sign is in the front but you need to drive towards the back lot. The 'box' as they call it referring to the "gym" was very spacious
