It is hard to find a pilates studio that doesn't feel like a gym group class you are overpaying for. Trust me, I have been to many studios over the years and Five Starr is the heart of Long Beach. The instructors all have different styles but are always willing to help, modify for injuries, articulate movements, and are keen on their kinesthetics! After my car accident impacted me financially as well as physically, they worked with me and that means the world to me.
If you're looking for a good reformer pilates studio, look no further!

I've been taking cycling classes at Five Starr for 5 years. I bought a Groupon to check it out and I'm so glad that I did. My first class was taught by Richard who told us outright that he was a cyclist and not a spin instructor. He showed me how to properly set up the bike and the appropriate way to mount and dismount the bike. After his class I was hooked.
I've tried other cycling studios over the years but I really love the Keiser bikes at Five Starr. The small class sizes and family atmosphere are appealing. The instructors provide an intense, challenging workout. Dara is #bodygoals and Beatrice

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The owner is terrible and needs to take a customer service 101 course. My daughter accidentally registered herself twice for their $59 dollar unlimited 2-week trial and I asked her to refund my card to avoid an overdraft fee. She refused stating their no refund policy. When I tried to reason with her twice and said I will report it as fraudulent charges, she went on a rampage over text. I tried to call and discuss reasonably rather than texting but to no avail. The class overall does not do real Pilates either. It was a waste of time.

Five Starr Pilates and Fitness is a gem in Long Beach. Every time I go, the staff is so positive and knowledgeable, and the studio is always bright and clean. Starr is an amazing female entrepreneur who supports her community. Pilates makes me feel stronger and more aligned every time I go. So glad I have them in my neighborhood!

I have been a member of many gyms, the chains and smaller private ones. But this is one of my favorites. Everyone is so friendly whether they have been members for years or just jumping on board as a member. Not to mention the owner, Starr, and the instructors are amazing! But the best part is the app and how we sign up for classes. You have control of your schedule but you are also accountable. It’s a small gym and only so many can attend a session (whether it’s pilates, cycling, or training) but it is absolutely perfect. You don’t have to fight for space. Well maybe for time, if you don’t
