Services
Hopewell Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Cincinnati OH area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Dan Baum and Dr. Samantha Miller, who are licensed, experienced Cincinnati veterinarians. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
While we will do our best to accommodate your requested day and time, please note, your appointment is not fully booked until you get a confirmation from us! Please allow 24 hours for a response. If this is an emergency or if you need immediate assistance, please give our office a call at 513-745-0890.
Your pet's health is always our number one priority, which is why for most pets we recommend annual wellness exams to ensure that your animal companion remains in good health. If your pet is a senior-over seven for dogs, over nine for cats-we strongly suggest twice-yearly exams and blood screenings.
Young animals are like kids-it's a never-ending job to keep them safe and happy. Vaccinating your pet is a relatively inexpensive but very important way to protect his or her health. In addition to preventing many life-threatening illnesses, vaccinations can prevent diseases prevalent in wildlife and those that can be passed to humans.
Every year thousands of stray and unwanted animals are euthanized in shelters across the United States. Many of these deaths are the avoidable result of owners failing to spay and neuter their pets. Even if you keep a close watch on your pet, accidents happen, and unexpected offspring means more animals that won't be given the chance at full, happy lives.

We receive the most attentive, friendly and professional care for our dog from everyone who works at Hopewell Animal Hospital. From reception, to vet tech to veterinarian to check out, each and every person there really loves animals, of course, and they truly care about what's best for your pet. They are also helpful and patient with parents of pets! :) I highly recommend trusting Hopewell with the ongoing care of your furry friend.

The care that Hopewell Animal Hospital has given my dog into her senior years is above and beyond what I’ve experienced with any other vet in the Cincinnati area. She has had a very difficult health journey since she was a puppy and is very fearful of any visit because of all she’s been through with past practices, but Hopewell knows how to handle her so well. They are so knowledgeable and caring. I am so thankful for them!

I received a rescue dog from Alabama two weeks ago today. This dog was bit in the eye by a rattlesnake. A vet in Alabama crudely removed her eye and she was brought to me for the healing process. On day two, the dog’s condition got worse quickly. I called my vet, Dr. Baum, asking him to look at this girl, Lucy. He agreed. In 30 minutes she was being evaluated by Dr. Miller, a new vet in the office. Lucy was not in good shape. Dr. Miller, with Dr. Baum assisting, saved this dog’s life by performing surgery to fix what the vet in Alabama botched. I am very blessed to have wonderful vets, vet

We had a catastrophic event with one of our rescue dogs. Our normal Vet couldn't get see us due to a staffing shortage. We called Hopewell on a recommendation from someone who was familiar with their services.
They saw us within 3 hours. From the front office, tech, doctor, and all support staff, they were kind and compassionate. We were in the office for over three hours while they gave us constant updates on the care of our dog.
Like many people, we are looking for a Vet that is not only skilled, but has compassionate staff and a support system. We have found them at Hopewell.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and affectionate to your fluffy family members. The veterinarians are informative and provide the best possible care for your pet.
My family have been going here for over 15 years. We've been through some rough times and some lovely times here. They've always been there for us with empathy, love, and support.
This is not the cheapest animal hospital around, but you get what you pay for and so does your pet. I would recommend this place to anyone and trust them with my dogs life.

I have experienced everyone at this office to be friendly, helpful and professional. They genuinely love your animals. Once we called at closing time panicked because my daughter’s dog, Sadie, had just been attacked by a pit bull, and Dr. Baum and staff stayed late to do emergency surgery on Sadie which saved her life. They’re great people.

We have a 12 year old dog with aging issues and the care she receives at Hopewell with Dr. Baum and his staff is the best. They are caring and efficient and always explain everything to the fullest along with patiently answering any questions I have. They are the best! She is doing so much better since receiving her care at Hopewell.

It takes a special person to be a vet and both of the vets at Hopewell Animal Hospital are the best! I have two kitties and they take great care of both of them. We've been coming here almost a year now. They have a wonderful house cat that likes to hide in the cabinets and it totally cracks me up! Dr Baum is my usual vet but they are both wonderful people! Even the employees are so kind. I would recommend this vet to anyone looking for kind caring people and they have Saturday hours so it makes it easy for me to get my girls in! They will explain anything to you in common terms and makes

Dr Baum and all of the staff at Hopewell are amazing! I was recommended by a friend and couldn't be happier. My coonhound recently had to have surgery and Dr Baum made us feel at ease and did a fantastic job. It's hard to find medical professtionals in this day and age that you can trust - I highly recommend them.

Love this place! My Wire Fox terrier doesn't dread coming in because she loves the attention she gets, everyone is calm & friendly from the phone call for an appointment to seeing Drs Baum & Zilly. They take the time to put everything in plain English & they've never run out of treats (my terrier's favorite part, of course)
