Boerne Stage Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Leon Springs and San Antonio, Texas area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Joel Huehn, who is a licensed, experienced San Antonio veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Preventative medicine starts with a comprehensive "head to tail" physical examination at least once a year. Based on your pets' exam findings, age and lifestyle, we may recommend specific screening tests, treatments or vaccinations to protect against certain diseases or parasites.
We recommend only using those vaccinations that have been shown to be safe and effective, are necessary to prevent a disease that poses a realistic threat to your pet or are required by state law.Not all vaccines are appropriate for every pet. We are located in Leon Springs, just two miles west of IH-10, right across from the entrance to the River Rock Ranch subdivision.

We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
Our 40,000 gallon rain water collection tank is capable of capturing over 7,000 gallons of water for each inch of rain that falls. In an average San Antonio year, that's over 200,000 gallons! We hope to use rain water for up to 85% of our total water usage, conserving the aquifer while keeping our little part of Leon Springs beautiful.

I called the clinic to see if they could see my Maltipoo Oliver as he suddenly became ill. The front desk ladies were very understanding and squeezed me in the same day.
I was nervous as I had never been to this clinic and had to leave my pup overnight for a couple of days.
The doctors and vet tech were very reassuring and did take the time to care for my pup. They were very responsive and I felt they had my pups best interest throughout the entire process to find out what was going on with my pup.
Thank you guys! I will definitely be back and refer anyone in need of a vet!

We've been going to Boerne Stage Vet for more than 10 years and have always been very satisfied with their care of our pets and their customer service. We recently had to get all of our pets in quickly, and the front office staff spent literally 30 minutes on the phone with me to get all of them squeezed in as soon as possible.
Dr. Huehn, Dr. Billquist, and their new vet, Dr. Rethman, are very friendly and competent -- Dr. Huehn recently came in during the holiday weekend when we had a pet emergency -- and Andrew at the front desk is always a pleasure to work with.

Though in the past I was very happy with the job this veterinary clinic did with boarding my dog, I am very dissatisfied with their lack of communication, which resulted in my being required to pay an additional $60 (after willingly paying $192.60 which was communicated). Be aware they require a $60 exam if you are boarding with them and you agree to allow them to give your dog a 6-month Bordetella vaccine which costs $22.50. I was notified of the $22.50, but not the $60.

After going to the ER 3x within the year we couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my Corgi Itachi. We came across Andrew & Dr. Huehn here at Boerne Stage Vet & they were able to diagnose my pet. We brought him in to get neutered on Friday morning & Dr. Huehn, Andrew & staff were amazing!! They kept us updated & stress free through the entire process. We have been to multiple vets & ER’s & we are so glad we brought Itachi here. Thank you Andrew, Dr. Huehn & staff! Will gladly recommend to everyone we come across!

We have been using Boerne Stage Vets for two years and have always been pleased with the service, friendliness and communication skills from the staff and doctors. Took our child in for her shots today and did the curbside service, still had the same service experience we have come to expect. They are close and have been good to us.

Great customer service ! The staff and the doctors are so nice!! We had a follow up visit and even though we had a different doctor, he knew everything that was going on with our pup! Very informative and spends the time to answer all your questions! Just great overall experience ! Highly highly highly recommended! We go there for everything and always the best experience!
