Lincoln Square Animal Hospital
We are a warm, welcoming medical facility with state-of-the-art equipment and an old-fashioned attitude. We believe prevention is the best medicine. We emphasize education to help you keep your pet healthy. Unfortunately, prevention isn't always successful. For those cases, we have a full range of services available.

These include a broad spectrum of surgical and dental procedures, digital radiography, ultrasound technology, pain management, and more. We take pride in our client service and we design treatment protocols that are tailored to your pet's specific needs. We encourage you to be part of the process by asking questions and giving feedback on your pet's issues.
Services
Our goal at Lincoln Square Animal Hospital is pleased to provide a warm, caring, and flexible environment for pets and their owners. With an emphasis on great customer service and the latest medical, surgical, and pain management techniques, we want clients to feel that their companion animals are getting the best possible care available anywhere in Chicago!
At Lincoln Square Animal Hospital, you'll love our unique approach to veterinary medicine. We offer a variety of treatment options for your pet. And, we won't pressure you into scripted protocols. We believe a trip to the vet should be a pleasant adventure for you and your pet, not a dreaded and scary affair.

I am requesting that veterinary care be provided for pets presented by me or my agents. I understand I am financially responsible for all services provided at the time of my appointment.*
If you're passionate about caring for animals, great at communicating with co-workers and customers, and enthusiastic about a career in veterinary medicine, we want to talk to you! We're frequently hiring for the positions described below. To apply, send an email directly to [email protected]spital.com.
Dental disease is very common in dogs and cats. According to the Animal Medical Center in NYC, over 50% of cats and 85% of dogs over the age of 3 have dental problems that require professional treatment. Your pet's dental problems are treated with the same equipment and anesthesia that dentists use for humans.

UPDATE: After seeing this google review, the vet looked up my personal information and called me to "discuss the breakdown in communication". I feel this is a major breech of privacy and completely non-apologetic. They could have responded to my review here rather than call my personal phone. I removed another star for this reason.
When we first started going to this vet, we were comforted by their Covid-19 procedures and kindness. On that front, they are okay. This negative review regards my past two visits. TLDR; this office is unorganized and has charged me for a medication I never received

Our friendly neighborhood Vet. We love being able to take our cats there.
Even if our cats don’t feel the same.

I adopted a pet during pandemic so my first interactions with Lincoln Square Animal Hospital were outdoor handoffs and phone/email. This is my first pet and the responses from the clinic staff as well as veterinarians have been timely and helpful.
I recently was able to attend an in-person appointment and had a great experience with everyone in the clinic. I was nervous and had many questions, and was able to get the answers and reassurance I needed.
The vet tech let me know suggested tests and their costs, as well as the option to decline, before anything was done so I could have an idea what

The staff here are so amazing- very kind and extremely patient. Dr. Vercauteren is our vet and we love her! We’ve seen other vets too for family pets and they’re wonderful. Highly recommend!

Lincoln Square Animal Hospital is WONDERFUL! They will try their absolute hardest to help your sick pet and will work magic with their schedule if they can, because they genuinely want to help your pet get well. The vets and technicians are so professional and friendly and they invite any questions you might have, and they make sure you’ve got all the information you need before the appointment ends. I’m so relieved to have them looking out for my cats!

Very friendly and responsive vets and staff. The vets gave me thorough assessments and advice for one of my cats. They were available, provided in-depth communications and accommodating (fit in my sick kitty for a last minute issue). Most importantly they’re very kind and supportive. Also when the vets called me to discuss pre and post procedure they were not rushed and answered everything and gave me very helpful advice and instructions. Strongly recommend their services. 😽😽
