Kinetic Arts Center is home to a talented, hard-working and dedicated team of circus artists teaching a variety of classes. We are committed to hiring people who are passionate about teaching in the safe, encouraging and creative environment we have built at Kinetic Arts Center. Our aim is to support our instructors in the pursuit of their own artistic goals; granting time off to perform or to tour with outside companies.

Services
Kinetic Arts Center is divided into two primary spaces: the main training floor and the studio. Both the main floor and the studio can be configured as theatre or rehearsal space with a full sound system and lighting grid. We are conveniently located right off the freeway, on a bus line, directly from either Lake Merritt or West Oakland Bart, and on the way to Jack London Square!
Kinetic Arts Center is located just off the highway in Oakland and is a clean, nice space. They have an enormous parking lot in the back too, which is super convenient. The receptionists are so warm and accommodating, A++! You can just tell Kinetic Arts Center is run by people who love circus arts, and want you to have that same amazing experience as well!

Kinetic Arts Center accepts workshop proposals year-round from resident and visiting teaching artists. There is something for everybody at every skill level. Perhaps you need a little inspiration to refine an act you've been working on FOREVER. Or, maybe you have been trying to summon the courage to register for one of our classes but you have felt a bit uncertain.
Our expanded TWO-week summer sessions are pure concentrated circus! Circus enthusi-artists will cheer each other on to greater heights as they climb, gain strength, and build confidence in aerial emphasis classes. We'll unlock the secrets of the ancient art of juggling and explore how to bridge physical distances with colossal communication by way of clowning.

I am so amazed with the KAC!!! They are professional, passionate and very accommodating. My daughter took their 2 week summer camp and loved every bit of it. She was very new to the world of Circus and what it had to offer. They taught her in a way that made it fun and instructional at her pace. They were supportive and she reported they never made her feel bad when she couldn't get something. I was amazed with how patient they were. In the times of covid, they provide a safe and clean atmosphere. I called several times prior to the start of camp to ask questions and even change the camp session

Kinetic has programs for the young, the old and everyone in between. There are recreational classes in aerial arts (fabric, trapeze, hoop, rope, straps), tumbling, Parkour (free running), stunts (film/TV) and more.
Registration is online and flexible in that you buy a class pack and join in rolling admission-style.
You can host your birthday or bachelorette party at Kinetic.
They offer circus camp for kids.
Kinetic also has competitive and esteemed youth performance troupes for those who take circus more seriously. The performance troupe is filled with kids who are not only technically proficient

We love Kinetic Arts. We have been with Jaron and Victoria for years and our daughter has really flourished under Jaron's instruction. Victoria creates a real community.... I think we enjoy being a part of Kinetic Arts as much as our daughter does. My wife cannot wait until the adult work out classes start!
