Our studio manifesto outlines our mission statement for how and why we operate. We will all teach and work a little bit differently, which is what makes our course selection unique and amazing, but working to promote the same goals will create a consistency across classes and leave our students with the confidence that they are getting the Pole & Dance experience.
Our party packages are great for bachelorette parties, birthdays, corporate events and more! OP&D offers a party package foundation with a variety of options so that you can customize your party. As a boutique pole dance studio, our business benefits from historically marginalized cultures that have created many of the artistic qualities that pole dancing is grounded in and founded on. These include Black, trans & queer, and sex worker communities. Because of this, we've been rethinking the way that we give back to our local community.
Oakland Pole and Dance, we are always on the lookout for emerging talent. Whether you are new to the Bay Area or have been training as a student for awhile, we are looking for people who are excited about creating community, love pole and aerial dance and are passionate about building technique safely and slowly.

This studio is awesome! The staff are professional and welcoming. I am completely new to pole dancing and all aerial arts, but this is a great place to learn as a beginner. I am also glad the studio follows public health safety standards- I feel much safer attending classes here.

I just visited Oakland Pole & Dance for the first time this past Saturday. What a cute, warm space! Very nice set up.
I was there to work on my handstands with Elizabeth Blanchard, and she was great! Even though I feel like a complete beginner, she is REALLY good at talking to me at the level I'm at. For those of you prone to over thinking things, I am totes guilty of that, Liz is great at helping you push past analysis paralysis.

Beautiful space! Great location!! Amazing instructors and staffs!!! You can learn all styles of Pole dance (Pole Tricks, Contemporary Pole, Exotic Pole..) at OAK P&D. Dancing in heels in pole choreography class is my favorite!! Aerial classes (Lyra, Silk, Strap) and Active Flexibility classes are also fun! All instructors are knowledgeable and professionals. I highly recommended to take classes at Oakland Pole&Dance.

I’ve been going to this studio for 4 months and I absolutely love it. The instructors emphasize proper technique which is wonderful. I performed in the studios showcase after participating in the 5 week Lyra series. Being a member at Oakland Pole and Dance has increased my strength, pushed me as an athlete and increased my sexy!! I practice regularly with Nate and Kissy. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve taken aerial classes at different studios/circus schools for a while, and I feel this one is the most non-judging and welcoming space. Other places are cool too and have their own artsy twists or nonchalant vibe, but here one can feel empowered because of the positive energy among the students and the encouraging instructors. Julia who teaches Lyra is one of the most patient and encouraging instructors, who always takes time to break down the steps for the students. One thing that I really appreciate about her is that she designs her course to accommodate different levels so everyone will

I've been coming here for a few months and this studio has become my pole home. Oak PD is full of talented instructors who always have something new to teach, ready to adapt to any level. And, I'm always amazed by how welcoming and encouraging each instructor is to every student, regardless of skill level. I've taken classes with Yoko, Aurora, Allison, Amy, Karrie, and Elizabeth and I have nothing but great things to say about all of them. Overall it's a studio where you can challenge yourself, feel incredibly accomplished and confident, and be supported by a wonderful community cheering you on

This studio has been a long time coming!!! It has such a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Cozy even. All the instructors here are top notch. I’d recommend this studio to anyone interested in Pole Dance, Lyra or any of the other various Aerial arts skills. This is the perfect place for someone who’s seeking self empowerment or just something new and exciting.

Such a beautiful space with a wide range of instructors and classes! I drive just over an hour to take classes here and it's definitely worth it. Classes are an hour and 15 mins, and anything over an hour makes a difference because of warm up and cool down time. The pole space is absolutely beautiful with nice floors, good lighting, and tall poles. A lot of classes are mixed level and the instructors do a great job catering to the range of skill levels that happen to be in the class while staying engaged with each student. I have taken classes with Yoko, Elizabeth, Tiffany Rose, Aurora, Katie,

This is more than just a dance studio- it is a community of incredible people who are welcoming and inspirational. The owner Amy and all of the instructors are badass performers who know how to make a class exciting and a safe space for beginners. I recommend trying their active flexibility classes, pole, aerial silks, Lyra and everything else they have to offer!
