The service here is great and very consistent and short wait times.
The food is pretty good but for my personal taste they put way too much cheese on their food. It covers up the other flavors too much for my taste.
If you like Tex-Mex style Mexican food this is great.
I will say the house salsa and guacamole is really good.

Carne asada was flavorless and poorly cooked, straight tough as a boot and literally had no seasoning whatsoever, tasted like an uncleaned grill rack lmao not good they clearly don't clean they gear over at this spot unfortunately you can tell by the first bite, also tried the enchiladas with rice and beans which were just funky! I couldn't even eat one enchilada before saying no good and tossing it out! I for sure won't be back here and I'm shocked this place is even open for business considering it's in Yakima with so many other options for Mexican food

Went here for dinner with fellow VFW funeral team this evening. Service was great, BUT my wife and I both ordered Arroz con pollo, our favorite, mine was great, as expected,but my wife's was VERY lacking in chicken, we mentioned this to the waitress, she offered to get her some chicken for an EXTRA $5.00 , we refused her offer so she took my wife's plate away, expecting a new meal, nothing just to remove the meal from the bill, finally one of our friends mentioned this to the Mgr/ owner, he replaced the meal, final outcome was OK, but still angry at the staff for the treatment. WONT BE BACK REAL

Went there because heard it was good. 7 of us 4 had taco salad $8.95 on menu. Had both chicken and beef. Salads were from 1” to 2 1/2 high, differently not proportionate at all. We all agreed food was horrible and on top of that they asked if we wanted guacamole with salad. That was a mistake. They charged extra $$5.00 for 2 small wedges of guacamole and did not inform us of up charge when ordering. Go to Taco Time. Lot better food

I ordered the Taco and enchilada, wasn't expecting a hard shell, it was soggy moosh on the bottom and the top half was chewy and inedible, my fork stabbed through instead of breaking it. Almost $75 for 4 people plus 7 tip, not sure I'll be back.

The food was ok. The service was awful. I had a carryout order and they lost it. I got there to pick it up and they tried to tell me I must not have actually placed an order, and tried to make it my fault that they didn't have it. The 3 women at the front counter asked which phone number I called, telling me I MUST have called the one in Union Gap (I didn't). And that none of them remembered taking my order. Then they said another woman named Monica had come in and picked up an order, but they had no idea if they gave her the right order or not. They asked who I talked to, and while I didn't catch

There are many good Mexican restaurants in Yakima. That means, competition among Mexican restaurants in Yakima is pretty high. This place attracts both local people and visitors. It has nice glass décor inside and provides very friendly service. During busy hours and weekends, you might expect a bit of waiting but it is worth waiting for. Their food are delicious and more than generous.

The food never fails to amaze us. This is our go to location for authentic Mexican food that provides vegan options.
This time we were able to sit inside for the first time and the service was so attentive and we had no needs that went unmet.
The highlight of the meal this time were the fajitas. They were perfectly seasoned and sizzling hot and fresh. We paired it with corn tortillas and the portions were so large we had plenty to take home for seconds:

My friend Roy suggested this place and it did NOT disappoint!! I LOVE it here. Everything tasted amazing and the staff was great. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. Juan was our server and he was great!

The past location near Champs was aa bit more intimate and defiant toy more quiet. The new location offers less parking.
After waiting to be seated, there are options for what type of seating you'd like. There's a bar, booths, and many tables.
The staff is SUPER friendly and will keep your beverage topped off as well as the chips and salads coming. The menu is packed full of options from tacos and nachos to burritos and fajita

Great food! I ordered the camarones con tocino (bacon wrapped prawns) and it was delicious. Our server was very attentive and our food was ready in good time. The manager was incredibly patient with some customers who were making unreasonable complaints. I'm not a local but will definitely return when I'm back in town. I consider myself a picky Mexican food eater and highly recommend this restaurant.

We used to love to go to El Porton when it was in its old location across the street. Since they moved to the new location a few years ago things have consistently gone downhill. The first time we visited the new location the acoustics are so bad because everything in the restaurant is a hard surface. You can actually hear the conversation of people on the other side of the restaurant but can barely hear the person across the table from you. This is a review of the new location on Tieton Drive. The restaurant is nice with some beautiful decor. I came here for Sunday lunch with my dad. We were seated but it took so long for a server to greet us that we almost moved to the bar. Finally someone greeted us and she said they were short staffed, so that's understandable.
