The birth of my second baby inspired me to try myself in newborn photography and I never looked back.

Pregnancy is a special time in woman's life. Strong, beautiful, feminine, glowing, you are growing another human being under your heart. Don't get me wrong, I remember how different were my three pregnancies. Pelvic pain, swollen feet, heartburn even carpal tunnel, I've experienced many symptoms. But as a photographer, I know I can - even just for a hour - help you feel amazing.
I tell people all the time: you will never regret your birth story being captured. But as a newborn photographer, I often hear how regretful couples are that they did not have their birth story documented. Births are so incredible, magical, and personal. Each photographed birth is unique and tells a story.
Newborn babies bring love, joy, happiness and new beginning to life and it is my pleasure to capture newborns in their first weeks of life. I love creating images that will last a lifetime. I really do love what I do and fell blessed to have this talent to share with you. A photo, I believe is a special moment in time, it helps you remember the feeling you had in that moment.
Milestone session are one of my favorites. Babies grow and change so much during first year and it is easy to loose track of those major accomplishments. Holding head steady for the first time, holding on the arm, rolling over, sitting, crawling and finally walking - this are some fun times to capture.
Fun time, little adventures, big memories! That is always my hope for a family photography session. I love using the great outdoors for location, wander around, let the kids run and explore. Stopping along to take some candid photos and some posed shots. Sometimes is hard to pick a photographer to take your family's photos.

My family and I stumbled across Alena for a family photo session while on vacation in Charleston and could not be more impressed with Alena's photography, professionalism, and engagement during the session. We adore the pictures that she took and had a really fun time together getting the pictures taken. Alena paid particular attention to our toddler and newborn, getting some real smiles from all involved. I would highly recommend her services!

Alena is truly the "baby whisperer." She is meticulous, creative, and wonderful to work with! She has the needed patience when it comes to working with newborns to get the perfect shots she needs. We are so lucky to have found her for our newborn photographs that we will always treasure as a family! We look forward to having our future family sessions with her. We’ve used Alena twice now for our newborn photos and she does an amazing job! You can tell she loves what she does, and spends so much time working to get the perfect shot. She has tons of outfits, sets, bows, etc so there were always a lot of things to chose from. I highly recommend her!
