Exotics Report

Though the bulk of our clientele is primarily dogs and cats, we treat a large number of nontraditional pets. We welcome these "exotic pets" and hope we can share some of our extensive knowledge and training with your scaly, furred, or feathered friends. Our goal is to EDUCATE our clients about their exotic pets, as the majority (over 80%) of medical issues we treat have primary underlying husbandry issues.

Therapy Laser Report

This treatment option involves the use of a Class IV laser made by Companion Therapy Systems. Its mode of action involves the generation of laser light energy focused over the area of pain and/or injury. Laser light is highly absorbed by the skin and subcutaneous tissues, allowing deep penetration of the light to the level of injury.

The doctors and staff are paws down the best! Always professional, prompt and caring toward animals and their humans. Recently had to lay my Great Dane to rest and they were so compassionate. I highly recommend them for giant breed dogs and all other pets!

The staff was incredible, starting from Dr. Baumgardner (I hope I spelled that correctly) to the end with Liz and Donally (I hope the spelling is also correct), all of you and what you all have done was a blessing, thank you all !!!

I had to take my dog here for busted stitches on her elbow and they ended up wrapping her entire leg and charged $150 just for this. I had to go back 2 days later for re-bandaging and I don’t even think they… knew what they were bandaging. They put adhesive bandaging on her wound and the quality of the bandaging was absolutely terrible. It was all twisted up and coming un-done a few hours later. I called the next day to come back in for bandaging, told I was going to get a call back. 3 hours later I just decided to call them back and Ashlyn, the woman who I spoke with the first time

They don’t care about your pets. Randomly change policies when they don’t want to do the work. Avoid this place, if you care about your pets.

I can not recommend Northwood enough. The entire staff was so kind and caring. We had to bring our dog Sweetie after hours for emergency care. They spent so much time with her and were so thorough in the examination. After a long night, we had to make the tough decision to say good bye. Dr. Baumgartner and the entire staff were so patient and compassionate. Words can’t express my gratitude for the level of care they provided. Thank you for doing everything you could for Sweetie.

Dr. Roberts did an amazing job with my dog Billy who we suspected having a bowel obstruction. She was very communicative, and worked very hard to get our girl feeling better. I was very impressed. Thank you Dr. Roberts!

We were traveling home and she seemed lethargic. They took her in and we now have ore hopping , running happy Zoey back. Very Friendly Staff ( Steven) and the Doc knew what he was doing . I would recommend them. I live in Tennessee but if I lived here, they would be all 3 of my fur babies Doctor!
