Dr. Joe Cordell originally opened TVH in the 70's. When he opened, he knew from the beginning that he would like to build long lasting relationships with his clients. Dr. David Woodham bought the practice in 2006. To this day we still have clients that have been with us for almost 20 years! We also pride ourselves on still being your locally owned small veterinary practice.

Services
Dr. Woodham is a 2004 graduate of the University of Florida. After his graduation, he moved to Tallahassee and began his career at Northeast Animal Hospital. In 2006 he bought the Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital and has been establishing himself as a "small town" doctor. He prides himself on being the doctor who will treat your family member in all stages of life.

We are new to Tally and needed to take our dog to a vet. I Googled and found Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital. SO glad I did. HIGHLY recommend. We had the best experience all the way around right to the end when the Dr. called us directly and spent a long time on the phone discussing all he found. Nothing but positive to say about Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital!!

I brought my dog in to get her cherry eye LOOKED AT nothing else . An American bully. They gave my dog the booster shots when she already had the shots already. Now her back two legs are paralyze and she’s very sick. She was totally fine before I took her in. Dr woodham is very rude and disrespectful.

Took my cat to get a check up and rabies shot. Not my usual vet since I am only temporarily in Tallahassee, but they treated me and my cat very well. They were nice, professional and responsive. Also did not cost as much as I thought I would.

I would only recommended this vet to someone who likes to be disrespected by others. After a recent conversation with Dr. Woodham I will not be returning. when trying to figure out my options for flea medication until I can get a checkup for my dog to get more "prescribed" medication, as I am working long hours and cannot make it to the office… during business hours, he would not listen to what I was trying to ask, continuously spoke over me and was extremely rude from his tone of voice to what he was saying. there was not a single time in our 4 min phone conversation that I got a word in

I first came to this office when I moved to Tallahassee. My Phoebe cat loved being outside more than inside, so she became an indoor / outdoor cat. Somehow, she managed to expose herself to some sort of fungal infection that latched onto her ears. Dr. Woodham went above and beyond to find out exactly what it was and exactly how to treat it. He… talked to me about different testing options, and let me know in advance what would be the most cost effective, while still being effective! Because it was from the soil, it needed a different medication than typical fungal skin infections.

This is the.best place to tske your pet. My dog had been to 3 diff bets for his ears. He is a rottie and hates vets. He was very good without being drugged. Dr Woodham was the only vet that did a culture to see what was growing in his ears. Turned out it was really bad. Thanks Dr Woodham and his great staff.

We absolutely love this place! Katie at the front desk is an absolutely delight and Dr. Woodham is fantastic. They know our 2 kitties and 2 pups by name every time. They also assisted us in getting our little boy cat fixed with a payment deal AND with purchasing shots for our Huskies from Tractor Supply when we couldn't afford a check-up. Will never go to a different vet!

I started coming here because my old roommate worked for Tallahassee Veterinary Hospital as a kennel tech. I soon discovered that Dr. Woodham and his staff are top notch and refuse to take my dog anywhere else. My dog is my child and I am a bit obsessive about taking the best care of him, Dr. Woodham is patient, kind, and reassuring while he… answers all my questions. You can tell he really loves animals and my dog can sense it too. He has even saved my dogs life after he got really sick. I've also never met a vet who triple checked himself to make sure with the most certainty he is correct
