Western Brake & Tire was founded in 1962 by Paul Paquette, responding to the demand for a quality automotive store in Anaheim. Paul worked fulltime at the store until 1980, when his son and current owner Joe Paquette took over. With the help of his wife Patty, sons Paul and Joey, and daughter Amanda, Joe runs Western Brake & Tire to the same degree of excellence his father envisioned back in the 1960's.
Without brake fluid, the brakes stop functioning and you lose control of your car. You should change your brake fluid about once a year. A brake fluid flush removes deposits and varnish and adds rust protection so you can rely on your vehicle in every situation. Engine oil's most important function is to keep the moving parts of the engine lubricated.

I always have a good experience getting maintenance down that I can't do alone here. The employees are helpful and honest, the work quick and of quality, and they offer good advice on repairs you want to try for yourself. I used to live local to them, but now take the time to drive out to them without hesitation to continue doing business with them.

Very friendly, helpful and professional. I had gone to other places but only them were able to quickly tell me what was wrong with my car and got it fix. They weren't going around, they found the problem and were very straight forward. I would definitely recommend them.

I was referred to Joe from a coworker. I dropped off my explorer at 7am and briefly described the problem. By 11am my car was ready for pickup and has had no problems!
They were fair and honest. Exactly what you want in a mechanic and they have earned all my future business as a one stop shop.

I took my car in to have the AC checked out. As always they gave me the possible problem, but didn’t know for sure, so they added die to the system (to detect possible leaks) and charged the system.
They found, during their thorough inspection, that one of my brake lights were out and replaced both at the same time, saving future labor costs to replace the other one at a later date.
They also noted that I needed new tires on the rear of the car and that the tire pressure monitor system on the right rear wasn’t working. They recommended replacing it at the same time as the tires, again, to

Came in to get some new tires and have my brakes looked at, as well as an oil change. Paul was extremely helpful and honest. He could have easily told me I need to replace both my front and rear brake pads but let me know I still had some life in my front brakes.
With all the work I had done they were still able to get all done in the same day. Everything was communicated during the process as well which I really appreciate.
I will definitely be bringing my car back here for my services and repairs!!

Joe and Paul were wonderful to work with! We brought our son’s 1995 Mazda Miata fixer-upper to them for some things he couldn’t fix. They found the necessary parts for this vintage car when they could and did the repairs in a very timely fashion. We will be coming back again When we need work done!

We were driving on the freeway through Anaheim and just like that, something on the ground punctured my back tire and immediately flattened it. Needless to say it was a harrowing experience but made less so by the awesome people at Western Brake and Tire Auto Center. After our “Hero” tow truck driver dropped our car and us off here, we received prompt, courteous, and professional customer care. Thank you Alex! If we didn’t live so far out of the area, this would be my new “go to” auto center.

While traveling to LA on vacation we got a large nail in our tire as well as a low pressure warning in the other. I showed up with no appt and the team quickly got me in as the store opening and was able to repair the tire and sort out my false low pressure light issue. They saved me from wasting a whole vacation day with my family. Thanks guys!

I would definitely advise anyone with a luxury vehicle to AVOID Western Brake & Tire. I brought in my Audi to have my brakes done. I typically take it to Audi in Arizona but am out here for work and the Audi out here couldn't get me in for weeks. When I showed up at Western, Alex told me that I didn't need my brakes done which is completely false and I had documentation from Audi to show I needed my brakes done. I asked them to at least do an alignment to help my car ride smoother, they told me supposedly they did. I took it to discount tire a week later to change out my tires and

Great honest place. I usually do my own maintenance, but I take my car here for things I can't do myself since it's so close to where I work. I was recently suspecting the clutch on my Si needed replacement because I saw my clutch fluid below the minimum. They took my car in same day for an inspection, found my car was fine, and topped off the clutch fluid for me. The guys are knowledgeable and honest. I 100% recommend them for any car needs.
