Emigh Dental Care is a family-owned dental practice that offers both surgical and nonsurgical dental procedures in Long Beach, CA. Our doctors take great pride in their work and listen carefully to their patient's concerns in order to provide the most optimal treatment. Dr. Bob Emigh is a Doctor of Dental Surgery who provides both cosmetic and medical dental care for his patients at Emigh Dental Care in Long Beach. Pat Emigh, DDS, provides attentive and personal dental care to his patients at Emigh Dental in the beautiful coastal community of Long Beach. Dr. Todd Emigh is a Cosmetic and General Dentist and Certified Conscious Sedation Dentist who performs high quality dentistry at Emigh Dental Care.
With over 40 years of dental experience, Robert F. Emigh, DDS, or as his patients like to call him, Dr. Bob, began Emigh Dental Care with his lovely wife in 1972. Together, they have built a thriving practice that serves the greater L.A. and Long Beach, CA community, offering a wide range of surgical and nonsurgical dental procedures to improve his patient's cosmetic and oral health.
Dr. Pat Emigh is a Cosmetic and General Dentist with over 12 years of experience, who performs a wide variety of dental procedures, including conscious sedation dentistry, at Emigh Dental Care in Long Beach, CA. Although he started his early dental career in Long Beach, Dr. Pat also serves patients at Beachwood Dental in Los Alamitos, CA, alongside his brother, Dr. Todd Emigh.
Todd Emigh, DDS, was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and thoroughly enjoys serving the community of Los Angeles County with his expertise in cosmetic and general dentistry, as well as his skills in conscious sedation. Although Dr. Todd has been with Emigh Dental Care practicing alongside his father, Dr. Bob Emigh, he also serves patients at Beachwood Dental in Los Alamitos, CA.

Short Story: they went out of network with delta dental as of 11/12/21 and didn’t clearly state this to patients. 2 stars for being a good service as you can clearly see from past reviewers, but lack of transparency about going out of network lost my trust.

Hi Dr. Pat, Dr. Todd, Amber and Elaine and the rest of the staff! Everyone in this office is great and I appreciate their friendliness and professionalism. I came to this office because, although my previous dentist was great, I needed a change because I was so discouraged. Not unhappy with the decision at all. These guys are the best and i recommend them to anyone who asks. I have always had a positive experience (but it is still going to the dentist which can make me tense just at the suggestion--haha). highly HIGHLY recommended! So I'm an adult baby when it comes to the dentist. I HATE the dentist, with a passion. I recently moved to LB, and had several friends recommend Dr. Emigh. I just came home for the first time without crying after having a cavity filled. No pain, took 30 mins, I was in and out in an hour total. I can honestly say, I do not dread going to the dentist anymore. All the office staff so nice, shout out to Tina, and the office has such a great vibe. I didn't choose a new dentist for years after my lifelong dentist stopped practicing, I was so scared to go to one I didn't like and thought no one could be as good as my old dentist! I read lots of reviews and finally took the plunge with Emigh Dental and couldn't be happier! I've found my new forever dentist and have already referred my sister and niece here who were just as pleased as I was. Where do I start? When I first got my insurance from my job I was looking for a good dentist to go to bcus I had really bad teeth. When I said bad teeth I really mean it. I called Emigh dental and told them I have Delta dental and I need alotta work. I was told to come in and after X-Ray I was told that the work is going to be at least 30k and I signed the contract that I have to pay 20% which my insurance pays 80/20 which it was about 8K. Long story short after all the work and I paid off my part which it was 20% I was told I have to pay another 8K for some of the work my insurance didn't

I've never had a tooth pulled while awake and i was very nervous. Yesterday Dr. Patrick Emigh was kind and reassuring and he did an amazing job. Virtually no pain or discomfort even up to today. I am so happy with this dental group and I give gold star reports to the front staff, the assistants and the dentists.

I was terrified at the fact that I had to have my wisdom extracted. Everyone there is so sweet and reassuring that I was going to be fine. Karen and Dr. Pat did an amazing job! I also had my cleanings prior by Bailey, she is great and funny! Tina also did my xRays and she was great as well! Front office staff are super helpful and have a lot of patience to make sure you fully have an understanding of things. I grew up being so scared of the dentist. I have never met such a kind, compassionate, caring dental office. I can not say enough nice things about them. And my dentist! Dr. Reel! She has helped me so much. She has taken away my fear of going to the dentist. She is so very kind and patient. She cares about my whole health and well being. She has gone above and beyond to help me. After having the same dentist for 20 years it was difficult to try a new place. I had no choice since my dentist retired. I turned to Yelp to see my local options. I saw Dr. Reel for pain/swelling in the gum around one of my front teeth. This tooth had had a root canal, post and crown many years ago. Dr. Reel was very nice and told me there was an infection and I needed to see an endodontist. I called the endodontist recommended by Emigh and was told the earliest appointment was almost three weeks out so I made an appointment for the following week with another endodontist I have seen in the past. I called Emigh Dental two days later to say the tooth felt very wobbly and was told it was just instability caused by the infection and would resolve when the infection

Due to the pandemic, the office had to cancel all routine appointments for many months, including my cleaning appointment in April.
The office manager contacted me regarding the cancellation and re-scheduled the appointment for September, but reassured me that she will be reaching out to me if there is any cancellation.
I am so impressed that the office reached out to me many times to schedule the appointment sooner. Due to my work (I am a pediatrician), I was unable to take advantage of most of these cancellations--until this week. I will be seen more than a month sooner than my current appointment

First of all, this is unethical billing. Billing a patient vs the insurance is due to the inability to collect from the carriers because there is no billing code for it.
Second of all, the amount is extremely high! All of the cleaning supplies should be an existing cost. The only additional purchases they've had to make are buying face shields that cost $6. each and a thermometer that costs $50. so charging $20 from each patient, and each office

I grew up in Long Beach and wish my family had known about the Emigh family practice when I was a kid... it would have spared me decades of dental anxiety. I met with the kind, funny Dr. Reel and she put me at ease: she pointed out a cavity and a potential cavity missed by another dentist, reassured me that I would have the first say in my own treatment plan (no pushing unnecessary special cleanings or fluoride treatments here!), and in general is really down to earth.

Excellent staff, dentists and hygienists. They are very serious about two things, dental care and amazing personalized service. It is also a welcomed touch that they embrace the future such as text reminders/confirmations. And last but not least the office is first class, even though you may not guess it from looking at the building they share. It rocks, try if you are looking for something you want to stick with.
