I tried calling them multiple times about a certain property and they assured me they would call back. I waited a week and never heard anything even after calling every day and checking in. I went to the property after it said open house from 12-4 and no one was there. I ended up going to another property next door and viewing there open house and decided to sign with another real estate company. I would stay away from these people. Go with another property management company like Shoreline or Select.

I lived in the Blackthorne apartment for 1 year. Through that time there were 3 different building managers. I never even met two of them. Additionally the up keep of the building is abysmal - giant cracks in the walls of common areas, the carpets are old and should be replaced, extremely crooked floors, unkempt landscaping...to name a few. I was told upon signing my lease that these things were going to be fixed - but in a year's time they weren't.
On the plus side, for the space I had the rent was a good rate, and it was very nice to have parking available right behind the building and they

I have had issues getting my refund deposit back. And it has been months since the other people I have roomed with got theirs back. We even received the outstanding charges sheet to see what we were charged and there were random charges on there that were not for rent or late fees. I can check on my bank account app and I can see the correct total I paid for each month. And there are 70 dollar rent charges added for November when I paid the full every month. I would not recommend this company for renting. My room mates and I have had so many problems with them. The last year we had to put in a

I lived at City Hall Square for 3 years. During those 3 years, there was 3 different building managers who all seemed disinterested. Last year, in the dead of summer, the AC was broken for about 45 days. On top of that, one or both of the elevators is consistently broken. If anything is broken in your unit you will have to call or complain multiple times before anything is done about it. If you do call, you can expect the office staff to be short and rude with you. They did update the laundry facilities here so that you can pay with a card instead of quarters. The communal spaces leave a lot to

Roy is rude and unprofessional. I am not a tenet here but I would never recommend anyone staying here. So unprofessional ! just because you guys are labeled as affordable housing u don’t need to treat people A certain way expecting the landlords is the same way as the people that cannot afford to stay there due to verify income and previous residence. I understand certain people lie on their applications and their incomes but don’t treat their landlords the same way. Roy do us landlords a favor don’t ever call our phone saying who am I speaking with you are rude disrespectful you want to

I had a horrible time living here. They have major pest problems. I had to throw away everything I owned and start over from scratch at another place. It's cheap rent because they don't take care of the pest problems that they know they have. I'm never renting through edgewater ever again, and I advise everyone against it. I have 2 cats who were affected by the pests like I was, but they also had reactions to the not helpful chemical treatments as well. The worst experience I've ever had renting.

I usually don't go out of my way to write reviews, but I was so dissatisfied with the Lancaster that I felt I had to voice my opinion. While affordable, it is not worth dealing with the flora or fauna therein, that is mushrooms in the bathroom and cockroaches in the kitchen. In all fairness, I didn't report the cockroach issue and, therefore, can't speak to it. However, after informing the manager of the mushrooms, I was told that he'd "never heard of that issue before" and that I should "take care of it before move out". While I did do this, I don't believe it was my responsibility as a tenant

It has been my pleasure to be a tenant of Edgewater Real Estate for the past 4-1/2 years. In all that time I have been treated fairly and with absolute respect. Any issue that has been referred to them has been handled expediously and thoroughly. They are excellent landlords, and the building is clean and in excellent condition.

I lived in a studio owned by edge water for what i understood was a 6 month lease.
Management was unprofessional & hard to get a hold of.
My unit was filthy when i moved in.
Door buzzer was broke.
Light bulbs were out.
Mailbox didn't lock/ close.
When i requested a move out after the 6 months i was informed the "rental agreement" stated i was liable for an additional 3 month due to the "NO Winter move out."
After paying for the additional 3 months and cleaning the unit to superior standards which i found it. i received a security deposit letter stating i was charged for cleaning & fixing

We made the mistake of moving in to one of their East Side apartments. We took a unit that wasn't perfect, but the manager assured us it was easy to move within the building. This is not the case. We have never been late on rent or caused any problems, yet when a tenant left without notice from a unit we badly wanted, instead of letting us make an even trade, paying the higher rent while they showed ours instead of the abandoned unit, they tried to charge us an extra month of rent. We of course did not, and will be moving in the Spring. We were willing to put up with substandard appliances
