Brett K. Miller is the Chief Executive Officer, President, member of the Board of Directors and a principal of Fiduciary Real Estate Development, Inc. ("FRED"). Brett has been with FRED since 2006 and has served over the years as General Counsel, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Brett is responsible for all operations and strategic vision at FRED.
To explain what we do is most easily described by saying how we do it. At FRED, we do everything "The FRED Way." By putting our mission and our vision at the center of everything we do, we are able to serve everyone from our residents to our vendors in a way that aligns with our core values. We work with only the most reliable vendors and contractors, hire only the best employees, and align our FRED teams to bring out the best in all of us.
Over the last few weeks our management team has been spending a lot of time talking about FRED's evolution on the social justice issues of our day. I want you to know that we will not waiver in our support of our Black teammates in the context of the national conversation and we continue to talk about action points within FRED to further that conversation.
FRED's approach to investing is simple - We invest where we see opportunities to deliver strong and stable returns; We take a careful and conservative approach in or underwriting; We respect our investors and obtain our mutual objectives. We develop and acquire assets in the best locations, within communities with high barriers to entry, and positive demand drivers.
We are proud of creating, building, and managing our own communities; controlling and designing quality from start to finish. FRED chooses only those sites that will stand the test of time. By always keeping the customer (our future residents) at the forefront of our thoughts, we seek out locations proximate to jobs, shopping, education centers and transit opportunities, always with a mind to the area's population density and growth potential.

Company pays a competative rate, decent benefits, very generous with paid holidays and PTO etc. Very progressive company, puts effort into training and is very big on diversity and inclusivity which is a big positive for me.They treat employees with respect and provide any resources needed. My experience working for FRED has been nothing but positive.

I rented from 50twenty Apartments and loved our space. Maintenance requests were a bit slow but the people were nice technicians. Once the pandemic hit and management changed. All hell broke loose.
My husband was a frontline worker and I was not (though my job and health was impacted). They offered a new lease and we accepted. Then the management rejected the acceptance a month or so before our lease ended. Leaving us to scramble for housing with three kids.
When asking the office for a final walk through they played it off through email as if they couldn’t change the time as we were moving

Fiduciary Real Estate Development has been a nightmare. My advice is not to lease with them under any circumstance. My wife and I leased an apartment at Wells Street Station, shortly after they opened, 2015. This unethical company, Fiduciary took over recently and now they are trying to destroy my reputation and credit. I have been forced to hire an attorney when they falsely try to collect money from me and refused to take my calls regarding it. Their in-house atty has threatened me that he will continue and is now insisting that I remove reviews in order for him to stop, as well as more money

Shown zero remorse towards residents during pandemic. Offered to waive the $1.95 online rent payment convienence fee and that's it. what a joke. Amenities and gym have been closed for 2+ months with no reimbursement and refusing to offer any. Pool remains closed although local governments have said it can open with limited capacity. Sent multiple notices saying they will be sanitizing common areas in apartment buildings more frequently which is not true as I have noticed they have cut staffing and bulidings are being cleaned less frequently now. Very disappointed with Fiduciary. Property managers

Awesome place to work! Senior leadership really cares about associates and they're always looking for ways to change up policies to make them better. Very associate-focused, in my opinion, and dedicated to charity, including at times to associates in need.
Communities well cared for and a lot of money re-invested to make sure they're kept up over time. Lots of resident events as well, which we can hopefully get back to soon as the impact of the pandemic wanes. Beautiful properties, great associates and good vision overall. Very happy to be part of it! We have a pretty cool job in that we get to

Poor staff/management
The units as a whole look fairly decent. The staff/management in the office seems to be useless. I've been trying to get a $300 refund for over two weeks now and they continue to give me the run around. They will not answer emails and when they do a week later, they just tell me sorry they'll send a check soon. They refuse to use ACH service and just sit on this money and are hoping I forget about it.
I wouldn't recommend doing any business with this company. Best of luck to you if you do.

This is absolutely not the place for any minority to work at. I had the absolute worse expierence of my entire life here. From day 1 I was set up to fail. I repeadetely would ask for help and I was given absolute zero guidance and direction. It was the first time in my life that I felt racially profiled and was belittled on a daily basis. There were many examples of I could give for starters there was another guy there who made multiple mistakes and had broken things but instead of getting rid of him they found other work for him to do. I don't know of to many people who had not done a complete

Be wary of giving any FRED property deposit money. I put down a deposit at Bergamont Townhomes but ultimately decided to rent elsewhere under another management company. Bergamont sent me a nice letter indicating they would not return the deposit, with no reason given.
I'm sure their attorneys work overtime to develop some lame reason(s) for this but any company with integrity would claim the moral high ground and just return the check.

This company stole all of military and Iraq belongings when the movers left the gear in my garage while moving. I asked the company to return the irreplaceable, some out dated government issued gear, and some family heirlooms, but they refused to respond. It breaks my heart that everything from the most influential parts of my life are gone. I'm pretty sure they violated state laws in doing what they did, and I want to look into that for some sense of justice, my now I have nothing to speak of my past, and it breaks my heart. This is a dirty company, and they should not be trusted.
