Originally from the East Coast, I am a 'Jersey girl' who lived the first twenty years of my life in New Jersey. After graduating from college, I moved to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area where I enjoyed the next 20 years. In September of 2012, I relocated to Denver to pursue a long time dream of living in Colorado.
When I'm not working, I love to do just about anything outside with friends and family - bike, ski, hike and cook on the grill, to name a few. I am a dog rescue volunteer and enjoy fostering when I can. My dog, 'Reason', is quite a character who has a big dog personality covered in little dog fur. He loves to be in the office and offer up comfort to those who want or need it.

Unsolicited feedback from brave and courageous clients of Individual and Relationship Therapy Center. Finding the right couples or individual therapist can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming. Reading the opinions of others can provide valuable insight and can often ease the vulnerable feelings inherent in this process.
Hold Me Tight workshops are based upon the sound research of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Private time for you and your partner to have meaningful conversation and exercises with the guidance of trained therapists. Use this space to share any information you feel is important for us to know prior to registering for this workshop.
It can be difficult to find a good therapist who is also the right fit for you. Making the phone calls can be daunting, especially when you have to leave voicemails that don't get returned. In today's world, the added decision to 'trust' online therapy only adds to the list of considerations. IRTC is different than other practices.
Our Client Engagement Specialist is happy to discuss online counseling and in-person therapy options with you. On occasion, our therapists' schedules are tight with limited availability. As a result, they may not appear as an option when you select 'new clients'.
If this happens to you, please call Michel, our Client Engagement Specialist, at 720-639-7724 Ext. 1 and she will be happy to look more closely at our availability and try to accommodate your scheduling needs.

We understand every couple is unique. We are skilled in helping you both navigate this healing process, regardless of how you came to find yourself in this place of seeking support and help.
Through this process, you will learn how to communicate with your partner, gain a clearer understanding of what your partner needs, and learn how to remain connected with your partner in time of need so that you can turn to each other for comfort and connection. We often recommend for couples to read 'Hold Me Tight' by Dr. Sue Johnson during the early stages of couples counseling.

Kayla Wolfe is an outstanding therapist. I enjoyed working with her: the sessions were very valuable thanks to her ability to listen, use eliciting questions and give helpful insight which keep things moving forward.
Kayla helped me make a decision I’ve been unable to make on my own for years and helped me to feel prepared to move on to the next chapter of life.
Kayla clearly explained her policies and what I could expect from her. She is professional and reliable. It is evident she cares about her clients and is just as engaged in the session as you are.

During this covid pandemic, Laura and the other therapists at IRTC have reached out to the healthcare community with resources, empathy, understanding, and insight. As a nurse in the highly stressful frontline, I appreciate this beyond words. I highly recommend IRTC.

Beverley Ewers is amazing in the work she does with couples! I have had the honor of knowing her on personal and professionals levels and have utmost trust in her. She is calming to be around and I am always amazed how she exudes warmth and compassion, no matter what is going on around her. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a deeply inspired therapist whose own rich life experiences make her great at what she does!

Laura runs an incredible team of therapists at her group practice. Not only is she certified in EFT, she is also working towards becoming an EFT supervisor. She is always a warm presence at our community workshops and trainings and is very knowledgable at her craft. I have been involved in EFT group supervision with a few of the therapists on her team as well. I can say without a doubt, any client who finds themselves at the Individual and Relationship Therapy Center will be in very good hands.

You can't get much better than Laura Cross. I have the honor of knowing her on a professional level, and watching her navigate all of the facets of being an amazing therapist, Emotionally Focused Therapy Supervisor, business owner and leader to her therapy team, and mentor. She is warm, authentic, compassionate, funny, and I must say her office is the most beautiful therapy office I've ever seen. I never hesitate to refer to her.
