Was in montalk for a week and went there 3 times for dinner that should say everything. The halibut special was arguably the best piece of fish I've ever had in my life.

Sadly, was not worth the wait. Service was beyond slow. I get the staffing shortage, so I won’t complain about that.
The shrimp cocktail was served without cocktail sauce. The sauce they gave me, when I asked… for it, was a thick gelatinous mess. Not very tasty either. The lobster bisque did not even compare to the bisque we had elsewhere. It was ok, but no chunks of lobster, not as creamy and had a stronger vermouth flavor.
We had salmon. It was undercooked. She had a potato scallion cake that she gobbled up (I’m not a big onion fan). We swapped her asparagus for my spicy green

The New England clam chowder was perfect! The beer was ice cold. And the entre of shrimp and scallop pasta was perfectly cooked.

What a night out with myself! Right on the water. Beautiful sunset, sadly didn’t really get to enjoy because of where I sat but the night was just great! Ciara was a great and the food absolutely hit the spot.

Delicious and well prepared food. The decor is lovely, with indoor and wonderful outdoor dining. Sunsets from the premises do not disappoint either.

Fantastic place to eat on Labor Day! We were visiting Montauk from Queens and wanted to grab lunch. Parking is free and huge! The restaurant is right next to the dock and the harbor. We went about 40 mins after opening and it was decently packed. We were seated outdoors and it was a very pleasant day for eating. We ordered Gosman’s surf and turf, twin lobster tails, fish and chips and shrimp basket. He seafood was really fresh and the quality was great. The steak was cooked to my liking and it was tender. Lobsters were a bit on the chewy side. The shrimps and the fish were very fresh and we enjoyed

Ugh so disappointing. Food was awful. We've always eaten here for YEARS! From the terrible food (shrimp/scallops alla vodka) to terrible service. Who adds fennell and red pepper flakes to vodka sauce. Pasta was different than on menu too. Barely any sauce, cold and the shrimp were half raw! We first had a black girl for our server then Adrienne came along. They were fighting over our table right in front of us. Baked clams were burnt. Had to argue with a server about getting mashed potatoes at 4:50. Only baked and french fries before 5pm. Lol. Adrienne should be hosting. Not serving. I really

I rate restaurants both on their customer service and food.
Upon arrival I explained it was our anniversary and we were not in a hurry. I stated we wanted to have a very good view and would wait. I also stated we wanted to sit on the deck. The host said he understood. He also said we could order drinks at the bar.
We went to the bar to get drinks. I explained my allergies. The bartender couldn’t have been less interested. The drinks available were very limited. She assured me what I ordered was fine.
So when we were called to be seated, we were placed at a table for two and an obstructed view

Pros: Great location and views.

Cons: The food is bland and overpriced. Some of the most boring fish and chips I've ever had. A little salt and pepper goes a long way. It's like this place is living off its reputation.

Great food, great views. More families and older people rather than a scene. Right next to the beach and lots of touristy shops and some other restaurants with probably inferior views.

We had dinner in the restaurant. The outdoor restaurant doesn't open until Saturday. We were a day short.
The tables were well spaced. The views are beautiful. All staff wear masks.
The greeters at the door were very warm and welcoming.
We each had the salmon. It was cooked and seasoned well. You can change the sides but you have to take all the sides from a different dish in total.
The wine was great, the food was delicious. The service was very good.
Glad we went off season for a relaxing evening.
All covid protocol was followed. We felt safe eating here.

After a day at the lighthouse we stopped here for an early dinner and to shop a bit. Service was pleasant and attentive. She could tell we were tired and needed refreshments.

I had the fish and chips and it was so delicious!!! I have to say it was so fresh and crispy.

We will come back!!!

This was very good. We came twice on our most recent trip to Montauk and got a number of different things, including the wedge salad, the tuna tartare cones, the calamari, the twin lobster tails, the scallops, and a halibut special. The stars were the wedge salad, tuna cones, and the lobster tails. I also really liked the scallops.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. We had been here many years ago and enjoyed it. We didn't this time.

We started out with a cup of soup. I had the lobster bisque which had way today much sherry
In it. It had no lobster flavor at all. He had the clam chowder. That tasted more like bacon chowder than clam chowder.

We both ordered the fish and chips platter. The cod was crispy and crunchy on the outside, actually cooked perfect on the outside, but the fish was mushy on the inside. Neither had any flavor whatsoever. The tarter sauce could not help it. We were served two large

Over the years I have been here to Gosman's Dock many, many times .It has become a tradition for us to take a drive out here every summer . We have never been to their restaurant just the take out area. The location is relaxing and the view is beautiful ! You can walk around the square , there are some small shops there too .
Four stars for following the coronavirus guidelines !
All the employees were wearing masks and gloves and there is Plexiglass at the counter . After placing our order we waited for our number to be announced and we picked up our food .The tables are spaced accordingly

Definitely order the lobster. It's fresh and so tasty. It is not chewy like the lobster in nyc We also tried the blackened yellowfin tuna (sushi grade tuna). It is pretty good. The mac and cheese is not good - dont order it for your kid. You can order fish and chips or the shrimp and the kids love them. The sunset is at the back of the restaurant so you wont be able to see sunset from this place. You still can see the water.
