I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Cary, North Carolina. My education includes a Bachelor's of Social Work granted by Calvin College and a Master's of Social Work granted by the University of Chicago. Social work education is based upon the strong belief that all persons embody strengths and the ability to mobilize those strengths and talents to address life challenges.

Social work approaches focus on the interaction of a person in their environment when identifying both issues and solutions. I have been working with individuals, adolescents, families and children for 14 years. I have worked in the public arena in child welfare, mental health and substance abuse treatment.

I have been seeing Michelle for 18 months now and she is down to earth and helps me foster plans for improving overtime. Where I was 18 months in my mental health journey and where I am now is a lifetime apart. While I am still healing, Michelle is the therapist for me. She is helpful, takes time to work with patients, validating, and just overall, a kind person as well.
