Family Circle Counseling was formed in 2005 as an attachment-oriented psychotherapy practice dedicated to helping clients of all ages regain emotional health and practice new skills for living. Therapy can be brief, to reduce a troubling behavior or cope with a specific life change; or intensive when exploring how a family or person can recover from trauma, loss or complex illness.

Member therapists share decades of experience in residential treatment, community mental health, and training and management in areas of child and adolescent health, foster care and adoption, and trauma recovery at any age. We also share a deep commitment to working with adults and children from diverse backgrounds, for building from strengths, and drawing from a variety of effective psychotherapy methods to reach agreed-upon goals.

I have 24 years experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings including in-home, residential treatment, outpatient settings, and in schools. For the past 18 of those 24 years, I have been a licensed therapist doing individual, family and group work. I have been a therapist at Family Circle Counseling since 2013 and became a co-owner in 2018.
Mike Poindexter, LMFT, has spent over 15 years serving families, adults, teens and children who are challenged by difficult life transitions, mental health issues, and serious emotional disturbances. Carole Coffey Hannah EdS, LP, licensed psychologist, was one of the initial psychologists at St Paul Childrens Hospital: Midwest Childrens Resource Center (MCRC), an inter-disciplinary clinic specializing in the assessment and treatment of child abuse and trauma.
