She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University. She then completed her Masters in Animal Behavior from the University of Idaho and went on to graduate from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

From puppy or kitten vaccines to annual check-ups, parasite control, ID chips, to surgery, radiology, dentistry and pain management, we promise to be there to offer options and provide support throughout your pet's life.
For urgent prescription refills, call us at 206.329.0253 to renew an existing prescription. To renew a prescription through a third-party pharmacy e.g. Walgreens Pharmacy, etc. - please call your pharmacy directly to request your refill. The pharmacy will fax your request to Jet City Animal Clinic; once the doctor has reviewed your request, we will confirm the prescription with your pharmacy.
Appointments can be scheduled over the phone or by email. When contacting us by email during business hours, we make every effort to respond within one hour. With unforeseeable circumstances, please anticipate responses by email taking up to one business day. If your pet needs immediate attention, please call us directly.
Urgent Care cases are accepted anytime our practice is open. If you ever feel that your pet needs urgent treatment do not hesitate to call immediately so that a team member can advise you on your particular situation. Please call before you come. Our team is trained to do our best to accommodate your needs and fit you in between regularly scheduled appointments.

Do not use this vet. This is price gouging at its very finest. In seven years of dog ownership we have never been more dissatisfied. We are a military family headed overseas and we needed a USDA certificate of good health for my wife’s therapy dog. We just paid $522 for the vet to look at our dog for five minutes, fill out ten minutes of paperwork, and ship us the required certificate. They also wanted to charge $78 for a phone consult which was literally my wife calling in advance to make the appointment but after she expressed displeasure they agreed not to charge this phone consult fee. I have always taken my fur baby to Dr Shu. She was always so kind and caring with my senior dog. I would recommend this place to everyone especially Dr. Shu she was with us all the way to the end when my doodle bug passed away. She's always there to answer any questions and always gives you all the options. We were truly blessed to have Dr Shu take care of our Doodle Bug.

We have a very vet-reactive dog, and chose Jet City as his new vet because of their fear-free training. And they have been truly wonderful about accommodating him.
When we took him for his first-ever appointment with them earlier this summer, he was very aggressive and agitated. He made it impossible for Dr. Hsu to examine him, so she ended the appointment and we assumed we'd be asked not to bring him back. But she called a few days later with a plan on how to have a more successful visit the next time. We took him in today, followed her plan, and the visit went beautifully. Dr. Hsu and Brooklyn

A truly superlative veterinary clinic. First, they have handled the COVID protocols smoothly and efficiently, while keeping their focus on the best care possible for their patients. One of my dogs is a senior, and Drs. Anderson and Hsu have been handling her with great care and sensitivity. Both vets are very gentle with my animals, as are the vet techs. The entire atmosphere (we can now go inside with our masks) is CALM, even when the waiting area contains multiple parties.

A great vet in First Hill off of 12th. The staff are friendly, helpful and treat their patients with great care. I have been coming to this vet for years and will continue to do so. The technicians and the Doctor take time to ensure your pet is healthy or detect issues during checkups without feeling rushed. Exams are $59 and they can also get all your vaccinations caught up. A great place to start care for your pet.

My new kitty had ear mites and I took him in today for a checkup and to have his ears looked at and everyone was so wonderful! I was very nervous about not being able to go in with him but the phone appointment was totally fine! I could hear them talking to him and they were so so kind and very honest with me! In every professional respect, this is a top-notch clinic, based on several years experience with our cat and dog. When our aged dog died recently, the outpouring of compassion from every single member of that clinic just absolutely blew us away - in a very good and healing way of course. I am so grateful for Dr Anderson and all the staff at Jet City. They took good care of my friend Baxter at the end of his life. They were kind and compassionate and I could tell very much cared about both Baxter and me. After Baxter died they sent me a beautiful flower arrangement, a hand written card, and ink prints of Baxter's little paws.

Jet City has been keeping our animals happy and healthy for over 5 years now. They've helped us through the loss of 2 of our cats with such care and grace we left feeling completely supported. They discovered a life-threatening ailment in one of our young pups who thanks to their care and attention is now completely healthy and well on his way to becoming a grumpy old man. While technically competent, I don't recommend this office to anyone not on the top tier of the socioeconomic ladder in Seattle. My experience was that they have precious little cultural competence for anyone else. #gentrificationsucks

After struggling to find availability at other animal clinics in Seattle... seems like everywhere is going to a walk-up model & requires waiting for hours if there is even a chance you will be seen... then I found Jet City! I was able to schedule an appt to bring in my dog for some basic grooming with ease & almost immediately! Plus they have solid Covid precautions in place, which really limits unnecessary contact. Thanks for being so accommodating & friendly Jet City!

I had bloodwork done here recently for my pet to see what was wrong with her. I was told to expect a call after the weekend, and I didn't get a call till Thursday at 8pm. I spent $430 on this blood work, and was expecting the vet to be prompt in returning these results to me. I couldn't answer the phone. The vet left a message saying my pup's thyroid was low, and she needed $300 from me to run more thyroid tests. So, I called back the next day and talked with the tech as she documented that I gave my consent to run the tests. She told me someone would call me that day or the next

I took Bjorn here 2 weeks after he started limping since he had the puppy bundle (no charge for consultations for the first year). However, on the paperwork that was sent to the orthopedic surgeon and ultimately to our insurance it shows 8 weeks. I have tried to call about this error with little/no response and no signs to try to rectify or help with the situation. Not even showing a little understanding Bjorn's timeline to when he started limping. This will leave my family with extremely high surgical bills or leave Bjorn in pain for the rest of his life.

I took my new puppy to another area animal hospital recommended by a co-worker & was less than pleased with my experience. After scoping out reviews & calling some different places I ended up with an appointment at Jet City. They are fantastic! I have been pleased with everyone I've encountered either in person or by phone (Liz, our tech for both visits was so great!!). Our postop instructions were thorough & my puppy has done great following her spay procedure by Dr Hsu. The office even called next day (on a Saturday) to check up on her :). I'm so happy with my experience

My husband and I relocated to Seattle with our anxious dog, Lucius, at the beginning of the year and were NOT excited to go through the process of finding a new vet. Jet City was the first place we tried and boy oh BOY did we choose right! What I appreciate most is how much time and patience they put into our visits even for the most basic thing like a nail trim. They also explain things in easy to understand language and send additional resources when needed. The vet techs are also the most kind, caring folks you'll meet and it's very apparent how much they love caring for animals.

Update. Never received any information from vet who cared for my dog who had a dental cleaning and anesthesia. When I attempted to call the vet twice for an update she was "off premises for her lunch" this meant the vet was not immediately available for my dog who had just come out of an anesthesia. My dog was not fully recovered from anesthesia when she was returned to my care. It appeared she had soiled herself at some point during the anesthetic but no effort was made to clean

Really impressed with Jet City Animal Clinic.
My husband and I recently moved to Seattle from GA / FL, which meant new vet for our goldendoodle, Louis. We've been to Jet City a total of three times, twice for his routine puppy vaccinations and once for their puppy winter party. All three times Louis left such a happy boy.
Jet City does a great job of NOT traumatizing your pet during routine visits. They gave Louis plenty of treats and cheese from a can to distract him for the shots. Louis didn't even know he was being poked! They gave him so much love throughout the entire visit.

We have taken all our pets to Jet City and Dr. Anderson and weather it's routine care, surgery or having to deal with the loss of a pet the staff here has always treated us with the utmost compassion and thoughtfulness.
The clinic is located new First Hill and the Seattle U campus and has two dedicated parking spots behind the building in addition to street parking out front making it easy to come and go.
They have won our trust many times over and I would recommend them to anyone looking for animal care.

Would that I could rate this hospital 0 stars. My dog went into anaphylactic shock at 2pm on a Wednesday and they notified me that they were too busy with scheduled appointments to handle my dog's life threatening emergency. We are established patients. They sent me to an emergency vet a 30min drive away and she nearly died. This establishment prioritizes money over the health and safety of their patients, which IMO is incredibly negligent and violates the medical oath they took. My husband brought our dog here 2 weeks prior and I went with them during the follow-up visit. The location is easy to find and it is street parking, so plan accordingly. The clinic itself has some interesting decor: very swole and muscular mannequin that's wearing labeled hoodie and shorts. There are plenty of seats if you're waiting for your animal to come out of procedure. Merchandise a plenty there for sure: candles, hoodies, CBD treats, etc.

My wife and I took our young puppy Holly-Bolly to Jet City Animal Clinic for the first time in late march 2019. We all were greeted with a friendly staff member who helped us with our signing in papers. Holly-Bolly wasn't frightened by the staff at all. Our appointment was at 9am and by 910am we were welcome to the private sitting room. Which had Doggie and Kitty treats. Dr. Shana Kitchen came in around 920a and she was an angel compared to a previous place we went to. Dr. Shana Kitchen showed great care, sat with our puppy to get acquainted with her. She didn't come across rushed.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the entire Jet City staff. After a long battle with congestive heart failure, daily medications, and a forelimb amputation, our little guy's heart finally gave out in late September and although we had him euthanized at the ER vet, Dr. Anderson and the rest of the staff sent us their condolences with a card and a fresh bouquet of flowers.
Over the past year and a half, I feel like the Jet City staff has become part of our family. They care so much about our fur babies, as well as the pet-parents. I am truly thankful for each and every staff member

My puppy and kitten loves going there. Everyone is always super nice and helpful. Even on days that we didn't have an appointment but we were walking by, Sapphire would get excited and want to go in to say hi to everyone. We used to live few blocks away so it was super convenient but when we moved to Federal Way I decided that even tho it takes us about 45 minutes (on a good day) or longer to get there it's absolutely worth to make the drive. My furry babies are part of the family and knowing that they have the best care possible is very important to me.

You can have full confidence in Dr Anderson and her staff. After a month of our dog Obi being sick and unable to find any relief with our old vet, Jet City was recommended to us via NextDoor. She immediately had an idea of what was going on based on blood tests from our old vet. She was honest and upfront about her concerns and prepared us for upcoming test results.
