Camargo Animal Hospital, centrally located in the Kenwood / Madeira / Indian Hill area of Cincinnati, is a small animal veterinary practice that offers friendly and personalized care for you and your pets. Dr. Cynthia Sagel is a 2004 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sagel grew up in Cincinnati and did her undergraduate work at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. She and and her husband have twin daughters and a younger son, as well as two rescue dogs and three pet rats.
Fleas are very important pests in our area, especially during the summer and fall months, but can persist all year. Adult fleas are not only a nuisance to humans and their pets, but can cause medical problems including flea allergy dermatitis (FAD), tapeworms, secondary skin irritations and, in extreme cases, anemia.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Sagel; what a gem. She was so warm and welcoming and made me feel as though we had been friends for years. She was very kind and took time to answer all my questions about being a new mom to a puppy. I would definitely recommend her to all my friends and family.

We are new to the area and tried out Camargo Animal Hospital based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed! Dr. Sagel and team are great. I really appreciate their compassionate and realistic approach to caring for my elderly dog's health concerns. They are attentive and affordable and have helped us so much with his care!

Our puppy has been a patient at Camargo Animal Hospital for several months, and they have an absolutely wonderful team and practice. They are consistently friendly, professional, thorough and understanding with our young family, who has never had a dog. Thankful to have them caring for our new family member!

I found Camargo Animal Hospital through the SPCA, as they offer a free initial appointment for pets adopted from SPCA. I was able to get my cat in for an appointment within 2 days. I was so pleased with their service and will be back for my cat's routine care! Dr. Sagel and Jodi at the front desk were knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. As a new cat owner, I had lots of basic questions about his care. Dr. Sagel explained every part of my cat's exam to me, and went as far as to print off information sheets about feeding and general care for me. They followed up after a couple days

We have taken our two cats to Dr. Cynthia for many years. She has always taken as much time as we needed to answer our questions and make sure we understood all of our options. She is kind and thorough with us and our pets.

Dr. Sagel was our veterinarian for seven-years for our two labs, and so we experienced everything from new puppy exams, annual vaccines, teeth cleaning and "advanced care" for our one lab with a heart condition, among other ailments. Dr. Sagel and her staff treated our dogs like family, and were always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. We always appreciated her professionalism and attention to detail, making recommendations and tailoring care based on their specific needs.
