We at Mayuri rich in differing food traditions and our approach is in a creative take on Indian regional classics. Our menu features popular regional dishes from around the corner but approaches them from an 'Artisanal' point of view. Years ago, it would have been a tough task to build a collection of Indian artisan foods.
Today, there's such a bounty it has become difficult to narrow down the myriad options. Our aim is to provide genuine and authentic Indian cuisine to our customers at reasonable rates. We strive for prompt, efficient and courteous service to leave an impressionable mark on our customers. Mayuri's first Restaurant location opened at Westheimer Rd in Houston.

Great lunch spot in the Downtown Tunnels! There's usually a long line at this place, but it does move quickly. They have different specials every day, but their butter chicken and chicken vindaloo are my favorites. The naan is also made in-house, and it is delicious. Good meal spot if you're looking for something tasty and under $10.

I LOVE THE TASTE. Get anything, anything at all. It should be 10/10 in flavor, richness, and texture. Their naans are made fresh and so chewy and soft and warm. I love their chicken tikka masala and their butter chicken. Their biriyanis need work but anything scooped into a cup is the best. I love how efficient and kind the service is, especially the young woman who works the counter!! I love speaking with her from time to time and it saddens me that when I return to college up in Massachusetts, I won't get to come here anymore. Can't wait to return in the winter and have all their dishes again

Food Taste: 4 stars
Quantity: 5 stars
Customer Service: 2 Stars
Delivery Time: 4 stars
Waiting time in Line: 1 star
Despite their long waiting time in line and poor customer service, this restaurant runs as it is the only South Indian spicy food in downtown. Recently the food taste is reduced compared to my previous visit. Delivery time depends on the item ordered and the waiting area for food pick up is always crowded. They should focus on Customer Service and cleanliness.

This place was a very happy find in the tunnels, and definitely worth the hike from my office. I got the chicken chili dosa, having never had a dosa before. It was delicious, and I really like that it was made to order. The chicken itself wasn't amazeballs, but it was very tasty and the sauces it came with were incredibly flavorful and complemented the chicken wonderfully. I would definitely go back.
