BURN Fitness Studios
We are a boutique fitness studio located in the South End of Boston, offering a wide variety of specialty group fitness classes and personal training sessions. This is my favorite spot of all the gyms in the city - and as a ClassPass user I've tried many! If you want a great workout with wonderful instructors, BURN is for you.

Indo-Row is one of the best workouts out there. Caters to all fitness levels, but as a marathon runner it's a great way to give my joints a break while putting my V02 max to the test. Circuit Row is one of my favorite classes of all time! Jonathan is a great motivator and the structure of the class is competitive if you thrive in that environment!
Services
It is our mission to be 110% committed to provide our members with an innovative and motivating fitness experience that will allow you to have fun, stay fit, and be healthy. Jonathan's interest in the fitness industry first piqued when he wanted to add cross training activities to benefit his triathlon training while a student at Dartmouth Medical School.
We offer options for everyone! For those who prefer not to enlist in Per Class or Unlimited Class memberships, you can purchase Drop-In classes or Class Packages. You can now Mix & Match any type of class in your BURN Membership: IN-Studio, Livestream, and Outdoor Classes. Pick any monthly class pack based on how often you BURN each week, and it'll auto-renew every month.
Login or register for a BURN account and ensure that your credit card billing information is saved and up-to-date. Send us an email at info@burnfitboston.com with screenshots of your student ID and class schedule. Include which package you would like to purchase and we can take care of the rest! There is no monthly commitment for the unlimited class membership.
Many of our classes are specifically designed to include high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to take your fitness, muscle strength, fat loss, and maximum calorie BURN to the next level. HIIT is an exercise strategy that alternates periods of short intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods.
Outdoor BURN Camp: No equipment needed, but expect the unexpected! Your favorite BURN coach will bring their own unique style to this ultimate calorie-burning workout through challenging combinations of cardiovascular drills and strength training. Anything goes in BURN Camp. Classes will be held at Titus Sparrow Park in the South End.

I'd visited BURN Fitness Studios for the first time through ClassPass a few years ago and really enjoyed the classes I took. I signed back up for ClassPass recently and was so thankful to be able to take BURN classes again, even during a pandemic.

I've since gone back into the studio for in-person classes, which are masked and have limited capacity, but now prefer to take their classes online. My favorite classes have been Tabata Burn and Power Burn. Jonathan, who teaches both, is charismatic and makes the class feel engaging even through Zoom.

I would say the classes are challenging

I just joined this gym this week and I absolutely love it. It's my first time being physically active since the pandemic took its course last March. Their signature Power BURN class is my favorite. It's killer. Shoutout to Morgan for being my first teacher here and for pushing and encouraging all of us.

Also, I did a thorough research of many of the other gyms in Boston. BURN Fitness is the most affordable. Great for students like me who are on a budget.

It is unfortunate that even how much I would like to try their classes, my first contact with their customer service made me decide to not even push through. I emailed them regarding my queries, despite writing very specific questions and asking them to confirm info that I have collected through their website, they failed to even acknowledge my email and replied with a very generic answer - "All your answers can be found on our website". They failed to carefully read my email and provided NO EFFORT to at least guide me to my queries. Such poor customer service is very unexpected for a

Love their yoga classes as well as the unique studio space! Small class sizes, caring and talented instructors, and a very welcoming environment (rare in cold cold Boston)

I have belonged/ frequented gym's in Boston, NYC, Chicago & Tel-Aviv. This is by far my favorite studio for classes. All the classes I have taken are amazing. My personal favorite in Tabata Burn with Jonathan Cruz.

I recommend this studio to all my visitors and friends!

I came for the "6 week challenge program" consultation. It was not a challenge and was not a consultation. Basically they charge $250 and we get to go max 3 classes per week (for 6 weeks) and they have some companies that will give you a "meal plan" - which probably is just a brochure.

It's nothing more than getting you there so they can sell their membership program. What a complete waste of my time.

Holy crap! Jonathan's Indo-Row class on Tuesday is amazing. Extremely challenging but doable and Jonathan's coaching and support will guarantee that you leave BURN with wobbly (albeit stronger) legs and in a pool of sweat. This workout is definitely a great example of "mind over matter" but if you dig in deep and listen for Jonathan's cues, you WILL get a hell of a workout! I already booked my spot for next week and this will definitely become a weekly thing for me.

They provide towels and lockers with locks so just bring yourself, a waterbottle and a clear mind.

This place just provided me with one of the best consumer experiences of my life!

I am a classpass user and like to try different studios around the city. I've heard good things about Burn so was really excited about trying it out. I signed up for the Pounds and Watts class (something I have never done).

I got there a bit early and during check in I was told only me and some other girl had signed up for the class even though it usually fills up (which I believe since the class before mine was full).

That girl ended up not showing up so it was just me. Joseph was my instructor and he was

I came in for a Friday Tabata class. The location is super convenient, a five-minute walk from Mass Ave station on the orange line.

When I came in, I noticed the studio itself is small, however when the class time started we made it work given the amount of students in the class.

Upstairs is where the studio, one room is, They also had a bathroom with an open shower stall, the set up was a little weird but it's great they even have a shower to begin with. There is a downstairs where they had changing rooms, a locker with complimentary locks and face towels (you do work up a sweat so highly

I've been coming to BURN for almost a year, ever since I've been on ClassPass. What I like most about it are the challenging workouts (they fly by) and the two passionate instructors whose classes I've had the pleasure of attending: Jonathon (the owner) and Joseph.

I've joined Jonathon for Circuit Row and Joseph for Tabata when they were still doing 630pm classes on Thursdays. I think both classes are awesome! A bit nervous to try any other of the plethora they offer, but based on the 2 for 2 track record so far, I'm remiss to not try any others.

The classes are good

Went to Circuit Row with Jonathan and it was an amazing workout!

You partner up for complete 6 rounds of different exercises ( 2 of them are rowing based)! The time for each station is set by the groups currently rowing! Jonathan provided lots of encouragement and got the entire class involved with cheering on the rows. I left feeling dead but in the best way possible!

The studio itself its very nice and modern with the classes upstairs along with the bathroom (small room with bathroom plus shower with Aveda products provided) There is a locker room downstairs with changing rooms and locks are

I went back and forth on giving this place 3 or 4 stars and finally decided upon 3. I will say that if you ever need to contact this studio to ask a question on the phone or because you're running late, there doesn't seem to be any way to do that. I was running late for a class I signed up for and could not get in contact with anyone. The only option was to send an email which obviously didn't work given the circumstances.

I did end up waiting to take a different later class since I was already there and the instructor was really nice. Shawn helped me with my bike since I had not

This place is really cool! I have a class pass and went for the 12:30 class. Very nice/new/clean atmosphere. The class was a rowing class with only 5 people in it. This was nice because you really got hands on experience. I've never rowed before so it was nice to have someone teach me. The only downside to this is that people are constantly watching you. You can't really blend in and do your own thing. The class consists of about 15 minute of free rowing and 1-3 minute intervals where you race people (this part can get intense). The workout was intense, but I left feeling like I could

I can only speak for the Indo-Row BURN class, but let's just say I booked my 2nd class before I even left the building. From the moment I walked in the door, Bob made me feel completely welcome and comfortable (I was a bit nervous having never used a rowing machine before). He learned my name, gave me a tour and told me his story of how the studio came to be.

Class itself was probably the most fun I've ever had working out. There are only 6 machines so it's definitely intimate. Bob does a great job connecting with each student and making sure you're using the machine correctly

Burn is a great little studio with a wide variety of classes. It's small but has a nice changing room and one shower. Sometimes classes feel a little crowds but that just shows what a good job they're doing. They seem to have maybe purchased more equipment to accommodate the folks looking to get their sweat on.

The staff here is what really makes this place stand out. Both owners are friendly and efficient at keeping things running smoothly. Their Power Burn class is my absolute favorite. It's structured into three sections-legs, arms, and abs so even though it changes up enough

After 10 years of living in Boston area, I finally found my fitness home. I was the goldilocks of fitness - I'd had tried so many fitness trends, gyms, and studios, but nothing quite fit. Too specialized, too crowded, stale routines, facilities/instruction not up to snuff, etc. Within a week at BURN, it finally clicked, and I knew the search was over! 3 months later, what makes BURN so near and dear to my heart?

Killer classes - Challenging, high intensity classes that leave you on an exercise high and a puddle of sweat by the end! No question I am stronger, leaner, and fitter after

I bought the Gilt pass deal simply because I knew I would be on vacation for a week in Boston and I wanted to work out while I was there. Burn Studio was close to my hotel.

I'm a gym/spinning/barre/yoga aficionado - I've been in a lot of spaces and tried out a lot of fitness classes: this little studio is the best! I fell in love at first sight. It is clean, stylish, uncluttered, but not too sparse or cold. It's is small enough to feel intimate and at home and yet the tall ceiling doesn't allow the space to feel tight. A great deal of careful thought has gone into this concept

I came today for the 7am class which I really really liked. The teacher was very good and taught a wonderful flow!

Good things:
-local business
-great teacher (from Back Bay yoga and SASY)
-convenient; easy parking and walk from anywhere in South End
-nice, clean studio

Bad things:
-15 a class for a 1 hour flow (WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!). Most expensive place in South End by far
-no student prices
-no first time pass class
-mirrors in yoga are awkward :(

Otherwise good for a first time; def. cannot afford to be a regular but it's a cool spot to check out!
