Truss this place might not have all the modern fancy goodies that big boy gyms have but that maximum efficiency energy is there ladies and gents. If you wanna be consistent about the gym this is the place.. I basically live here with my gym partner since we're here so much. 10/10 would recommend if you're trying to get jacked!!

From the standpoint of a traveler from out of state, this is a really good find.
Found this place by an online search, as I was trying to locate a gym to use during my stay in Hawaii. I submitted an inquiry via the website, and someone affiliated with the gym (manager, I presume) responded very promptly. They will let you use the facilities on either a daily or weekly rate basis if you are not a member.
The gym is located in a strip mall that is easy to get to and find. Clean, plenty of equipment, including machines, free weights, treadmills. The woman at the desk checked us in and we were working

LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE THIS GYM!!! I wish I enrolled sooner, but only enrolled recently about three months ago -- prior to this I worked out at 24 hour fitness HK and Kapiolani

The gym is pretty empty and extremely clean. The staff and other patrons are super friendly

Highly recommend especially since it's only 5 minutes from my house -- has everything I need.

There are no classes, but I don't usually do those anyways

My fiancee and I really love this gym. I'm a cardio person and my fiancee is a body builder, and its nice that we can both come in the early morning (with our fobs) and both do our own thing in a well-stocked, meticulously cleaned and well lit environment. I see the other gym goers wearing masks and following covid protocol and its very encouraging to see that safety for all members is a priority. The Locker room is nice and tidy and always fully stocked, the machines are always working, (which is a nice change of pace for me after going to planet fitness for years). I highly recommend this place

Small but convenient if you live close by. Atmosphere is not as good as before and many people left the gym recently. I am also leaving soon. Parking is convenient and the place is clean.

I would give zero stars if I could. This gym has a very bad owner that does not know how to handle situations professionally. Also there is no gym attendant during non business hours for 24 members which makes it very unsafe for gym goers. As a follow up to the owner's response, he said that I did not follow protocols by not wearing a mask in the gym when he specifically said via email that I could take it off while I was working out and didn't think I had to wear a mask when there is only 3 people in the gym and so did the other members that chose not to wear masks while I was there. We visit the parents once a year in Hawaii Kai and had been using the 24hr Fitness which is expensive busy and worn out. We are super pumped we found Honolulu Fitness Center its small but has everything you need isn't too crowded and the owner, Manny, is awesome. Also way more affordable for our short term use but it would also be our gym if we ever needed it long term as well.

The closing hour is not consistent and only close when it is convenient. I experienced multiple times when I walk to the gym around 5 pm and they are already closed.

3 years of $40+ annual maintenance fee and there's still the same BENT BARS and LOOSE CLIPS!
For charging an annual fee you would think they could spend just a small fraction of the total collection from members to get some new bars and maybe some clips that fit.

So I have since joined another gym and switch between the two. I only continue to come here for convenience.
It has been over 3months since the "gym upkeep fee" and nothing has really changed. Still SAME bent bars and only new thing I see here is a pad for squatting. You would think with $40 from each member would give

Super clean gym in the back corner of the Aina Haina shopping center. There's almost never a wait for machines or weights! Love coming here for not only the workouts, but for the the community aspect as well. The staff and members bring about a lot of positive energy. Plenty of parking, and they have speed training equipment! Thank you HFC for the holiday sale too!!

Small convenient location with a great selection of good quality equipment. I have not used the cardio machines, but there are two rows and they always seem open. As far as weights and weight machines they have everything you could want, plenty of extra plates and dumbbells up to 100lbs.

Honolulu Fitness Center's Aina Haina facility has been our "go-to" gym for the past 1-1/2 years. We are among the early morning "regulars" who go there nearly every day. It's a relatively small, "no frills" gym, without bells and whistles, but it more than meets ours needs. What we like most about this gym is its close proximity to our home, ample parking at the shopping center, and the nice, friendly and helpful staff and fellow customers. Contrary to the few critical reviews we have read about the owner, we have found him to be nice, fair and reasonable

If there was an option for negative stars, this would be it. Do not go to this gym. Owner
is a thief and rips off his members by pre-billing a month in advance. And then steals their money by not bothering to refund them. There are first and last months fees and annual equipment up-charges on top of the high monthly charges. Members are rude and try to kick you off the equipment. Receptionists are incompetent and useless for help. They spend their time outside smoking and talking on their cell phones instead of doing their job. Horrible!

Been coming here (aina haina location) for over a year now and really like this gym. Its on the small side, but doesn't get too crowded during the hours I go, which is usually between 5p and 6p during the work week. Most crowded days are mondays and tuesdays, but even then, there is usually no need to wait to use a machine, bench, dumbbells, etc. The gym is hardly ever packed with people working out during the times that i go.

Parking is free and ample in aina haina shopping center, which is a big plus for me.

Honolulu Fitness Center is a quaint fitness/workout facility nestled in the Koko Head corner of Aina Haina Shopping Center. This facility may not be huge or have the equipment like a commercial gym, but it has enough to provide a great workout.

Prior to joining Honolulu Fitness Center, I was a member at one of those commercial gyms. Bigger doesn't always mean better. The quality of the members was off putting as they tend to intimidate others. At HFC, members are nice and keep to themselves, as they are focused on their own workout -- not trying to show off or impress.

Good and smaller fitness center in Honolulu's Aina Haina neighborhood. I've been looking for a place to use the weights and exercise equipment since I am from out of town, and Honolulu Fitness Center seems to have been the solution so far (there is another location at Downtown Honolulu's Fort Street Mall).

I paid $15 plus tax for a day pass, which was worth it in the end. They do also have weekly, monthly, and annual memberships available. All of their equipment is manufactured by Life Fitness (which is a brand I see at the health club I normally go to). The fitness center doesn

Am a member and generally like the place but it is the day after Thanksgiving and they are "closed for the holidays." Um, this is not a holiday. They are closed lots of other days as well. You are a gym. You should be open every day of the year.

Also, they charge a totally random "facility improvement fee" of $35 at the end of the year in addition to monthly rate. Such a fee should be included in the monthly rate guys.

On the plus side the monthly fee is reasonable and the facilities are pretty solid. Busy during peak hours but not bad if you can get there off-peak.

So, this reviews for the aina haina location of Honolulu fitness center.

Overall, the facilities are very well-kept. There are several treadmill machines, ellipticals, free weights, and other exercise equipment. The facility itself has recently been renovated, and has air conditioning. I think that the staff here is also really friendly.

One of the things that I like about this I know Heine location is that because it's in the shopping center, there is parking. The downtown location has no parking.

I actually got a two month membership coupon for only $55 on Groupon and so for that price

I previously held memberships at 24 and most recently UFC. With the ongoing construction in Kakaako and a relocation to living in East Honolulu I wanted something more accessible. I decided to join Honolulu Fitness Center because it is near my residence.

A small gym has both benefits and drawbacks compared to larger gyms. On one hand a smaller membership crowd means it will probably be less crowded. On the other hand the smaller amount of machines means less overall variety and could also mean you could be waiting a while to use the one rowing machine if someone chooses to row for 20 minutes

I give this place four stars for cleanliness, location, ample parking, and never being over crowded. Usually only one guy on staff working the front desk. Not a totally professional environment, but it doesn't bother me.

This gym fits my current needs: Accessible, relatively affordable ($35/month), and a decent variety of gym goers in age and gender. It's a non-threatening environment, which I can appreciate. I think the restroom facilities could use more amenities, but there isn't enough space for that.

They offer complimentary first week trial for. new guests and you get discounts
