Instructors on Zoom are positive, caring, knowledgeable and talented both local and international like Turkey, Canada, and Germany. Diversity of classes from dance, barre, Pilates, to yoga, and martial arts always gives lots of selection based on how you are feeling. Been going here for years and I love this place!

This place is awesome! I have been going for nearly a year and after the pandemic started I started taking Zoom classes with them. The classes are awesome with quite a variety and the teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful! With being trapped inside due to a work at home order, the Still and Moving Zoom classes offer me socialization and fitness! I signed up for a Golden Circle membership so I could take unlimited classes and it has been fabulous - I take belly dancing, hula, yoga, NIA, MELT, foam roller massage, Pilates, meditating, Oli (Hawaiian chanting) and participate in Gems from

Grateful for Still and Moving Center, especially during this unprecedented time! Ever since the 1st Lock Down back at the end of March, the center has been offering On Line Classes. Now with 2nd Lock Down such blessing having caring instructors and staff are so helpful whenever I had difficulty with technology or anything! Someone will answer the phone (during business Hr.) even though the center is closed! When I forgot to sign in for class and couldn't do it on line as class about to start, a phone call took care everything!:)) As we're living in the future and much of the unknown

Highly recommended!! I've been taking hula classes by Malia from CA via Zoom since April. When I signed up for my first Zoom class, I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it turned out to be very, very enjoyable. We not only get to see each participant, we also get a chance to meet/see our classmates! Malia is an awesome teacher and she is so encouraging. She sings and plays the ukulele during the class which is so refreshing. AND, women from around the world participate despite the time zone differences. That makes it fun too. Everyone loves Malia. And the staff is very helpful as

I just love the hula classes here! Malia's hula classes are so inspiring and joyful. I have been taking classes for over three years and every class is wonderful. The hula classes are via Zoom so you can dance from the safety of your home! They also have a great variety of other classes on Zoom! All the staff are welcoming, helpful and kind. I highly recommend trying a class!

It should really be stressed that the, seated baby hula class, is for babies or keiki that can sit still. With about 2 minutes left in the class the instructor said to me, "Can you keep this one from jumping", because my 2 yr old (who sat quietly and paid attention for the first 15min) wanted to move. This class was more of a story time than anything else and for that I could have gone to my local library for free.
Perhaps this class was also geared toward kids who attended this class weekly and will maybe pick up on all of the Hawaiian words used. It was difficult for even myself to

My husband and I were staying in Oahu and visiting a friend who lives in Oahu. She recommended Malia Helela for a Lomi Lomi massage at "Still & Moving Center" , and as the universe would have it, they were able to accommodate us for a couple's massage during our stay. I had Malia & my husband had Sarah as his massage therapist. This was the best massage I've ever had. I'm used to a Swedish Massage, and it took me a little time to get used to Lomi Lomi's long, smoothing strokes. I loved the Hawaiian chants & visualizations I received today. Malia is very

I came here to watch my friend's daughter dance hula. It's a great place and very calm, zen feeling. Kumu was very patient with the young girls and made it fun/enjoyable. The space is very clean and spacious. They have a couple of performances during the school year and I'm looking forward to see their May Day performance!!
They offer cultural dances and yoga. The prices were affordable too!!
Parking can be a little tight. I think there was about six stalls in front of the building. But Whole Foods is a 5 minute walk and after the third floor (I believe) is public parking.

I never intended to take Belly Dance class, but when I saw his performance last year, I was mesmerized and spellbound. His dancers were also elegant and they seemed to be laughing and having so fun that I knew that he would be my teacher too one day.
I have been committed to dancing with him and going to class almost 3 times a week now since last April 2018. I have to say in my 10 + months of being his student, he has been extremely kind, compassionate, understanding, and a lot of fun. He is fair and always encouraging, even for many of his beginner students who cannot do the moves perfectly

I always look forward to the Yelp Fit Club at the beginning of the year! So when I saw Aerial Yoga was being offered at the Still & Moving Center, I quickly jumped in to RSVP. I tried Aerial Silks at a prior Yelp Fit Club event and it was way too difficult and left me feeling discouraged. I was hoping the Aerial Yoga class would be more my speed. The class was a perfect size- limited to 10 participants.
On Saturday, I got to the lot about 10 minutes before 1:00pm, but it was full. I ended up parking at the Ward Village Whole Foods lot which was right across the street.

I came here for a Yelp Fit Event for Aerial Yoga and it definitely was a perfect event for me who practices yoga 2x-3x a week and is looking for a different fitness class for variety. Instructions from Kendra was clear and poses and positions were easy enough to do even without assistance. Lianne was there to help anyone who needed help. I assume it was easy because it was an intro class where she made sure we were comfortable with it before we started doing pigeon, plank, dolphin or downward dog with one foot, or even two in it. By the time it was time to go upside down near the end, I'm

Today is my birthday and I decided to end my day with an aerial yoga class at Still & Moving Center! I love new adventures as I feel this helps to keep me young! I've taken aerial yoga a few times at different studios, but it's been awhile. I checked in with a very nice front desk receptionist and went upstairs to class.
I completely didn't read the class description properly and upon arrival realized that I was not actually taking aerial yoga, but instead a silks class where you learn different footholds and positions. Totally cool but a seriously difficult workout! I learned

Love this space!! Had a quick day trip from Kauai, so I stopped in for an aerial yoga class with Chris. Both his verbal and hands on cues really helped deepen my stretches. Plus he's got a great sense of humor. If you're intimidated by the hammock don't be! It's the most supportive practice. Can't wait to return here on my next visit!

Love this place!
I was invited by a friend who seems to know every great place in Honolulu so I trusted the invitation to Nia without even knowing what Nia was.
The class was surprisingly wonderful, emotional, freeing and exhilarating all at the same time.
My needed to move. I needed to feel deeply. I needed to cry, and sweat and sing and spin, and stomp, and shimmy, and flow, and breathe and we did that and a whole lot more in this very unstructured form of expression.
I bought a class pack for 10 session for a discount of $6 per class. Worth it!

Happy 7th reBirthday! This is a great center to learn many diverse dances and exercise techniques to enhance your mind, body, and soul.
I'm always impressed when I visit of the diverse cultural classes they offer! What? Bollywood? Yup!...Aerial yoga?! What? Yup!.... Feldenkrais? What's that?! Yup! That's offered too! Try something new here and you may find yourself trying all the classes in no time.

The Still & Moving Center is a serene oasis in the middle of the busy Ward and Ala Moana area of Honolulu. This place has it all if you are looking for meditation, Pilates, yoga, Feldenkrais, martial arts, hula, and aerial among other classes, retreats, and workshops. I often find achieving poise, flexibility, and balance to be much more challenging than working out at the gym. The classes offered here focus on those elements, which I think help in a different way than an intense cardio class to reach a deeper self awareness of your mind and body. Great for young people and seniors. There are
