The food was delicious and full of flavor. I had the yummy roll. The service however is what keeps this restaurant from receiving 5 stars.
We waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us at our table. We had 2 small children who were growing impatient at every minute. Once the waitress took our drink order, she seemed very put out with us and annoyed.
I get that restaurant are short staffed but it doesn't give people the right to slack on customer service skills.

Ordered takeout sat there over 35 minutes no food. I asked hostess if she forgot to put in my order ! Went in back for another ten minutes only to have manager come out with order and comp the meal. It was cold when I got home. I get there are not enough employees but maybe they should mention this up front. Just okay meal items, Tom yum, tofu with veggies and snow mtn roll. Will not go back until employment rolls rise.

I eat Kamiya a few times a week. The staff is friendly, always helpful and very accommodating. It's great to dine in or take out. I love to try new things, and I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. A few of my favorites are the chicken satay, the Royal crab roll, shrimp fried rice with pineapple and the garlic chicken. Also, they have the best calamari!

Have been here before for sushi and appetizers. Sushi is actually pretty good. I took my 8 year old young daughter out to dinner here tonight for a good report card.
The service was questionable from the start. We were I ignored for quite some time after being seated. My daughter got the kids shrimp tempura dinner - it was literally 2 pieces of shrimp, some lettuce with ginger dresser (maybe she would have eaten it if they asked what kind of dressing she wanted - she would have got ranch) and a bunch of fried and battered vegetables. It looked and tasted terrible.

I was with my girlfriend in Jacksonville for a weekend trip and came across this restaurant. Having tried many sushi restaurant, I would highly recommend this place. The fish is extremely fresh and melts in the mouth. Their hot dish is tasteful. This dish decorations are also creative and pretty. We would go back again if we revisit the place!

Finally was able to check out this sushi place and was very pleased! The ambiance is very nice. My husband and I ordered crab Rangoon, seaweed salad, the spicy girl roll, rock n roll and the spider roll. The crab Rangoon was not my favorite, it doesn't have much crab meat in it and when I bit into it all the cheese filling was liquid so it immediately poured out. The seaweed salad and the rolls were very good though! I order the spider roll (fried soft shell crab) at many sushi places and they're usually really thick and difficult to eat. My parents in law live in the area and upon us visiting them, we often go to Kamiya86 for fresh sushi. This place is hands down best sushi place in the area! I always get pork gyoza for appetizer, it's spectacular, and the Kamiya sushi roll - it melts in your mouth.
Their ginger dressing is unmatched. I've had other things than just sushi which is just as good as any of their sushi/sashimi/rolls.
Chicken Pad Thai is amazing, as well as their Thai curry. What more could you ask for. Highly recommended.

I've order take out from this restaurant a couple of times. Time to pick is solid, every time I walk in the place is so clean and full of patrons enjoying dinner.
This Friday did not disappoint, I order at rush dinner time and food was ready on time. Waitstaff was super friendly and helpful.
Our dinner was so delicious. Sushi and fish quality was pretty good! Food arrived as ordered. No complaints. They have an amazing rock roll, which is a our favorite. Also their tempura is so super crunchy and tasty. The only reason why they don't get a 5 stars it's because I have not have

Great Thai and Sushi! I am from out of town so I was skeptical when I saw 3.5 stars for this restaurant! Don't let the medium rating star deter you! The Thai Pad Kee Mao was excellent! They use the authentic fat/wide rice noodles for this dish and it's perfectly cooked with the smoky charred flavor to the noodles! Yum Yum! Hard to get something this authentic for a tourist. The rainbow cucumber roll (forgot the name) and spicy scallops were on point! I would come back here again if I am ever back in town!

Having recently taken over Pacific Fusion, this location of Kamiya86 is really just getting up and running. Compared to its sister restaurant in Jax Beach, this one is much smaller and it lacks the interior design aspects that make the Jax Beach one feel like you've been transported to Japan.

Update. While for the most part the fish is still quite fresh, several visits have led me to now stop coming here. We've ordered the same thing at least 12 times in the past 6-8 months (maybe 30+ over 2 years);… love boat for 2, with an upgrade to more exciting rolls (for instance Alex 1986, royal krab). Tonight however, we were told by "stephen" (maybe an owner, or manager) that this was no longer allowed. Unfortunately, after visiting here tonight and receiving this news, it is not worth it for us to return, and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Be prepared to pay $$$ when you
