We went here for dinner and found the food to be poor overall. Some was tasteless and my steak was way overcooked and was terrible. The food was not well prepared at all. Nice ambiance but very poor food. We will not be paying high prices for poor food.

Ordered a case of wine at of 37.50 for a case. They did not honor the price even though it was still marked for 37.50. Also lied and said they told my husband the price had increased. I picked up the wine. I wish I could leave a picture because it's still marked the same. They lost 2 regular customers over around 30.00 But a liar is a liar.

Met the ladies for lunch today - disappointed! I had the combo des alpes - warm turkey, melted Brie, apple, arugula and raspberry coulis on a croissant. Croissant was beautiful - nice and flakey and buttery, turkey also good. Couldn't hardly find the Brie. Apple good. Someone put tomatoes on it which totally didn't belong and made it impossible to hold together while eating. Also lettuce not arugula and very little coulis. As I said disappointing.

Hadn't been in a while and probably wouldn't go back.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for while, so it worked out perfectly that a girlfriend wanted to meet up for dinner and drinks. It is small and hidden away, which is perfect because I feel those are the best places to visit. It is a romantic, intimate feel with French and Parisian decorations and paintings. We were ready to pop some bubbly, so we ordered a bottle of champagne to split between us. They ended up running out of the bottle we ordered, so they suggested a similar prosecco. It ended up being very delicious and we enjoyed the whole bottle. We started off with baked brie, which

I visited here during lunch on a work trip since it was not too far away. In houston, most French restaurants are fine dining, so I was happy to see a Cafe.

The bread and butter before the meal was excellent as they make both in house.

I ordered the burger, which is not a typical choice at French restaurants but theirs turned out to be very good, using high quality meat and bun. It was a combination of a few different cuts of beef.

Overall a great experience here and I would surely return next time I am in Jacksonville.

This is a place that makes you forget that you are an Ponte Vedra. The food is amazing, everything was fantastic, the dessert menu blew my mind. The choices of wines go beyond anything I could ever imagine. If you were looking for exquisite bottles they are there!! We are definitely going to be going back soon!!!!

Beautiful place and food was great! Will def be hanging here to have a coffee and work or read. There are a lot of seating areas that have privacy too! The dessert bar is EXTENSIVE and made in house 🤤 they also… have a huge selection of wine and a really large menu for a smaller romantic setting. Tons of options for anyone and the wait staff was so lovely and helpful. Anything I didn’t know on the menu was explained!

Such a great place! Just had a fantastic lunch and coffee and packed a dessert to go. I loved the aesthetic and cuisine and I think this will be my new go to spot. This would be a nice place to just sit alone and read for a bit and have a coffee. The chicken salad sandwich was on a fresh croissant and the vichyssoise soup and Caesar dressing on the salad was 10/10. The wait staff was also so sweet and helpful. Probably the best customer service I've had in a long time which will def have me back next week. It was quiet but also had several customers come and go while I was visiting. The mural

I have only frequent JJ's for lunch, but they never disappoint.
The food is always amazingly and consistent. Consistency is a must for me.

My absolute favorite is the lunch Salmon entree with a side of French fries. Unfortunately, they do not allow substitution of the side salad for fires.

Their desserts are also delicious. I love the carrot cake!

We won’t be back, pricey and unsatisfied with the portions and for what you pay for not a 5 star classy restaurant. I’d rather go to Ruth Chris.

If you have a special dinner don’t think twice about making reservations at JJs Bistro, just do it. The service and staff are more than fantastic and the food from the specialty butter through the last bite of… dessert is amazing. To JJs...Thanks for making every course of our New Year’s Eve dinner amazing. I would love to purchase the vinaigrette dressing to take home, it may be the best dressing I’ve ever had. I love both locations too!!! :)

We went to JJs for lunch and dessert after perusing reviews and photos in TA and Yelp. Bottom line: it was tasty, but neither awesome nor awful. Service was very good. Total for lunch was about $100. Attached are photos of our food, except the streusel pie (it was the best part of the meal). I don't mind spending more for high quality food, but this lunch was not worth it. I prefer the quality of Restaurant Orsay and Le Petite Paris.

Everything was clean and tables were spread apart (covid social distancing). They had a few tables on the sidewalk and a few inside. You pass a dessert case

Khristina was our server and she made excellent suggestions for wine and food. She was very attentive and her suggestions were perfect! We sat next to the Eiffel Tower which made us feel like we were in Paris for our dining experience. This was a wonderful escape from reality and a lovely lunch experience. Thank you for creating such a beautiful space for dining and connecting with family/friends. I would highly recommend and will return. I would also request Khristina as she went above and beyond making us feel extra special for our dining experience.

I am so glad that my husband and I found this gem. In all of our years eating in Jacksonville, I don't know how we missed this place. The place is charming. You can eat inside or outside. Upon entering you will see what looks like a little french bakery/wine shop, however, if you eat inside, you will turn a corner to find a decent-sized area painted to look as though you are eating on a street in Paris. The artwork and decor is very well done.

For our lunch dishes, we got the Combo de Alpes with a cup of French Onion Soup and the Croque Monsieur with a cup of beer-cheese soup. Everything

Wow this pandemic has me rusty. I haven't written a review in a while but it feels good to be back!

JJ's Bistro is an experience not only the food is delicious but the decoration transports you to Europe . It feels like you've escaped Jacksonville for a little bit. The service was amazing, the food, their bakery and desserts look promising and they also offer a variety of wine selections.
I would say that my favorite was their french onion soup.

So if you are a coffee morning person than this is a cool/chill spot to start your day

JJ's Bistro is my happy place

This desert smelled rotten, tasted gross, and completely fell apart. I called to let the restaurant know and they insisted that nothing is wrong with it. They wanted me to drive back to their restaurant 30 minutes away to show them what I'm talking about. The male who picked up was completely rude and wouldn't even tell me his name. I've been a customer at JJ's for over 10 years, ordering cakes for almost every occasion. That won't be the case anymore. This place showed its true colors. The customer service is disgusting. Be careful not to waste your money.

JJ's Bistro has such a warm, charming atmosphere, with a mini Eiffel Tower statue and French posters inside lending to the Bistro vibe. Our server was lovely and the right amount of attentive. You can expect a very nice yet casual night out here.

I ordered Confit de Canard (duck leg) which was perfectly crispy and paired well with the mashed potatoes and surprisingly delicious squash.

It was quite a large portion of duck, too!

My only disappointment was their escargot, which was kinda bland. It's served on top of slices of white bread instead of the usual crunchy toast I've experienced

JJ's is a hidden gem. Best French food in Jacksonville and best deserts in the area. They have a great little restaurant with limited ouTdoor seating, dog friendly, and cozy atmosphere.
The food is always dElicious and they have daily specials that they rotate periodically. I love their French onion soup.
The quality of the ingredients is always superlative and you will alwAys get a top notch meal. Sandwiches are always a good bet if you are indecisive.
Enquire about their monthly wine dinners. They have guest wineries showcase their wines and they pair them with amazing entrees. Keep

I love this place. I always have a difficult time deciding between the crepe of the day Peter roast beef Boursin cheese sandwich. They are both soooo delicious.

The crepes are authentic, delicious and fresh made.

The roast beef and Boursin cheese sandwich is amazing. Perfectly delicious rare roast beef with delicious Boursin cheese lettuce mixture and delicious dressing on top!

The French fries and home made skinny and extra crispy - a little greasy, yet delightful

The dessert list is never ending. It is hard to choose just one.

Small tables, French feeling.

Went to JJ's for the first time for our parents anniversary. It's a nice place, environment. The inside looks like a Italian town/road with a miniature Eiffel Tower in it. The server was really nice and knowledgeable.

For apps we had the mussels, scallops, and escargot. The sauce on the mussels was some garlic cream. The dish was well the only complaint was that they were preeeeetty SMALL mussels and some of them were 'dead' (uneatable;rotten looking), the sauce on the escargot was like a creamy mushroom which was good, especially since it was their first time trying it. We have an authentic French restaurant in Jacksonville. Actually, we have two. JJ's has a restaurant in Ponte Vedra and one off Gate Parkway. I visited the Southside location yesterday. My date made reservations but it looked like there were enough tables open for a few walk in's. We sat at a little table near their inside Eiffel Tower display. I can't say I'm a big fan of the Disney World-like atmosphere; it's cute but made me feel like I was at Epcot's version of France. That aside; the food, wine, and service brings back the French authenticity.
