In the years since the opening, when we were only a carry-out, the restaurant has expanded. Waterman's Seafood Co. offers a carry-out and fresh seafood market, a downstairs dining room and bar area, as well as an upstairs dining room and a sports bar. The sports and raw bar, has high-definition flat-screen TV's to watch any game, as well as a fully stocked bar and happy hour food and drink specials.

The service was nice and food was ok. We ordered fresh oysters that were nice. The Maryland crab soup was ok. I didn't taste much crab, but I saw it in the soup. We ordered steamed shrimp that came covered in Old Bay seasoning which I'm not a fan of it. There was no mention of it and I would have liked to have been asked before the seasoning was added. It really spoiled the experience for me. We also ordered the broiled seafood platter which lacked flavor. Overall, it was ok, but I wouldn't go back.

Went on a long weekend road trip with my 5 and 4 year old boys. Saturday night we decided to have dinner at Watermans and it was a wonderful choice. Nice clean restaurant and an attentive staff.
We started with the Hot Crab pretzel. My 5 year old is a picky eater, and he tried the pretzel and liked it. It was great, a large backed prezel covered in crab dip and cheese. Try it.

Great happy hour. Great bartenders. Crabs are good. Seafood carryout could use some improvement. Some of that fish looks like it was caught in the ice ages. I got sick from the mussels once 7 years ago but that was my fault because I didn't cook them long enough. That guy Cliff is funny. Great wings and the blood Mary's are great.

Good location. Awesome ambiance. Excellent menu selections. Prices seem high for the portion size but that appears to be similar everywhere in this state. Quality couldn't be better. My crab soup was creamy and very delicious... I strongly recommend you get that as an appetizer before your meal.. I'd eat here again. One thing that really turned me off, which isn't the restaurants fault, is one old man constantly clearing his throat loudly like he's gagging..... Very inappropriate of him.

This place was recommended by a friend from the Ocean City area.
The stuffed lobster was small and dry, the cream of crab soup had nice flavor and good lumps of crab, but it was served lukewarm. Our friend had the dinner salad, which was basically a big plate of iceberg lettuce; a no frills salad that mostly went uneaten. Our server was fast to come and go. On vacation with 10 friends. Needed a place for dinner and everyone wanted seafood. Called watermans and explained the situation.
No problem was the response. Come on over. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The waiter took drink orders and delivered just as fast. Lots of appetizers including the cream soup we're ordered and devoured.
Dinner orders taken and arrived soon after the appetizers were cleared. We were never without refills and attention. Everything was as good as it gets as most ordered fried seafood including the fish and chips that was a big hit with several of the guys

The food and service were excellent. Our party included both seafood lovers and non seafood eaters. The hush puppies were great! My mom and I shared a fried seafood platter and scallops entree; we both had leftovers. The haddock and shrimp were fried and seasoned perfectly. The crab cake and scallops were good too. Hubs had the snow crab platter for one, but that could also be shared. The non seafood eaters enjoyed the cheeseburger and chicken Alfredo.

The only criticism I have is that none of the staff were wearing masks.

Amazing service, waitresses were great. Prices are outrageous for the quality of food, I would give the cooks 1/5 stars if I could, but it's more of the instructions from the management on how to "cook" so I don't even want to blame them, this place needs a serious revamp with flavor and ways to "fry" things. I got fried shrimp and it was basically battered in chicken finger batter. My girlfriend got the seafood Alfredo and said "olive gardens is better". Along with a horrid fly problem, no bueno.

We decided to try this place because of the good reviews and the exterior looked really nice. We were so disappointed by this decision. We should have left when we received our appetizer plates and they were filthy. Not just water spots or smudges-but mustard or some yellow sauce on one and ketchup on another. We know this happens and were willing to look past it. We had the creamy crab soup and it was delicious. We also got the crab pretzel was just okay. For entrees my kids got chicken fingers, the seafood meal, my husband got the scallops, and I got the broiled seafood combo.

We went all out and got the Snow Crab 🦀 Platter for Two, the Lobster meal, 1 lb of Shrimp 🍤, Hot Crab Pretzel 🥨, Fried Clams , and Steamed Oysters.
The lobster is amazing. The shrimp are actually deveined, plump, juicy, and delicious, and the Snow Crabs are THE BEST I've ever had! Came with corn 🌽, French fries 🍟, Cole slaw, and hushpuppies.

We planned good experience last week. But everything was terrible. The service was poor and unattended to our needs. The crab cakes tasted fishy and bad flavor. Pasta salad was warm and sour. My sister got sick on the meal and so did I as well. We had to ask for more refills, and our empty plates were stacked up as if we were at some kind of buffet. No effort was provided to make a better experience for us both. Way over price and worst service in the area. We won't be back. I usually give second chances but not at this place. And they were not busy. So no excuses will be heard of.

Food and service were both good. I had sea scallops and they were quite tasty and a good portion of food. Although, I didn't see the whole crabs as an option on the menu as I've seen on yelps pics.

Just kinda meh. The haddock in the fish and chips tasted like fried chicken. The crab cake was dense with meat and little filler The cole slaw was very good. The appetizer crab dip was flavorful, full of cheese and season, little crab meat. The fries were barely warm. The food was filling. The wait staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I may return for a lunch meal, definitely not dinner.

We picked this spot because it offered curbside and we had a hankering for fish & chips. Waterman's did not disappoint. They had a really simple site and process to place the order, and the turnaround time was fast. The curbside service was courteous and prompt, despite clearly having a lot of business at the time we went.
The food was tasty -- the fish portions were huge, and the sides were good as well. I also loved that even though we didn't dine in, we still got the "basket" of rolls and butter. Overall, it was delicious and fresh, and was a good value for what we paid

Probably a 3 for the restaurant and 4 for the crab to go. Get your Old Bay elsewhere though because the upcharge is something, haha.
Several of us went for the seafood marinara, diablo style. I'd get the dish again but maybe not with the diablo option. The heat didn't really add anything to the dish and it was a little harder to fully enjoy all the seafood.
The shrimp, scallops, etc., all seemed well prepared. I enjoyed them. Could've left the breadstick but it was good for scooping up any remaining sauce. The salad was pretty basic. Not bad dressing options though.

Great food! Staff was very pleasant and adhered to social distancing regulations. We dined outdoors although indoor dining was an option. Masks must be worn until seated, hand sanitizer was available upon entering fully stocked.
The chicken was just a tad bit overcooked for the penne Alfredo, but seasoned well. Everything else was really good.
A bit pricey but for the service and establishment itself, it was worth it.
