Meh, second time trying since they opened. Wasn’t impressed the first time and probably won’t go back. Ordered take-out and thought I might get a message that it was done since the site said 45-50 minutes but didn’t. I arrived at the expected time anyway and was surprised that my order was sitting on a bookshelf behind the cashier. Only two tables were occupied so not sure when they made my order or how long it had been waiting on the shelf. Brought it home and immediately noticed the fishy smell. The whole night started out bad. We (a group of 3) were second on the list of 7 and a trio of people walked in (not on the list) walked in to be seated.
We moved on. After being seated we waited 45 min just for water. Finally got water and waited 1.5 hours for our drinks. In the mean time we ordered appetizers and our food. After waiting 2 hours we finally got our food ( mind you this was AT our table) there was multiple other tables that were getting served. This is my new favorite sushi spot. The menu has a wide variety and everything I ordered was delicious. The server (Jeffrey) was very friendly and helpful with questions regarding the menu. The Hawaiian roll was amazing.

What a great find! We ate here for the first time on New Year's Eve and can't say enough about our great experience. The atmosphere and staff are very welcoming. The food was excellent and the service top-notch. They make an outstanding apple martini!!

First time here. And I asked for a booth bc it's a lot easier for a booth since I have a toddler... so I asked if I could wait for a booth and the hostess told me I can't wait bc she doesn't have time for me to wait for one. So yeah that's a great way to start off our first time in for lunch.and she started to complain bc more people keep walking in.
Now to the food. We got the free check in crab puffs. Which were really yummy. We also got a kani salad(I don't see the hype I only got it bc it's all over TikTok). The kids got the chicken katsu which was really nasty

I wish I had better luck with this place because it's so close to home. Unfortunately they've ruined their menu pricing through the use of Groupon. Unless you have Groupon you're going to pay for overpriced sushi and entrees. Other competitors have crept up in the neighborhood and offer better value.

Always crowded, but for a great reason! The food is great. Only reason for 4 stars is that it is a little expensive. Would definitely go back if I have an Asian itch.

Sushi is ok. Service is ok. Atmosphere is ok. It's close to home so we go for convenience but I have yet to find a great sushi place around here. Prices are ok for sushi but could be better for the quality.

Been coming here for a few years but the past two months it's been terrible. Slow service that forgets food orders, extremely slow to even greet us at the table and then bring us our drinks. This used to be a favorite place but after tonight we won't be back.

Terrible service and we all left with food poisoning. I'm disappointed because this was truly the best place for sushi on this side of town. Maybe we need to try the peoria location, not sure it's worth this sickness we are all feeling.

We were told by a friend the food was good but the service was pretty poor. Wanting to give neighborhood places a try we went. Sat at our table over 20 min without anyone asking us anything and all tables around us placing orders we asked the hostess if perhaps we just got missed between servers. She said a lot of tables were seated at the same time. Waited a while more and still nothing and you might think she'd have told our server to check in with us or something. One of the better sushi places you can find within 25 minutes of their location. Very fresh. It's right up there with Osaka in P83 as my fave on the northwest side.

This kawaii has the best sushi and orange chicken if you want the sushi I mean the best go to this place the fish is amazing in the sushi,I would highly recommend this place.

Always phenomenal customer service, delicious food and restaurant is well taken care of. Also, they are wonderful supporters of the local high school.

Recently moved to the area, needed a quick lunch/takeout. Hands down the best Asian food I have ever had! I tried the sesame chicken lunch special and the chicken is tender and very crisp. I can’t wait to try the sushi menu.

So glad we finally found a sushi spot in Phoenix that is reasonable with a great variety and delicious all together! The service was great and quick. We were able to social distance at our table. The sushi came out quick and delicious. Everything tasted really fresh! We ordered take out from the Deer Valley location a couple weeks ago but we were looking to sit down. We will definitely be back!

Fast and friendly service and excellent food!

We stuck with a few basics and really enjoyed them: pot stickers (some of the best I've had), california rolls, salmon nagiri and hamachi nagiri.

Everything tasted so good.

The seating was really tight with the tables packed in. It definetly had the pre-covid feel. The place was busy and we heard no complaints.

We'd come back.

This is a great place for some good sushi and Ramen.

I saw the reviews and decided to give it a try since it's right next to the house and we need to help support local businesses.

I have know found a place to get some really good Ramen, looking forward to try the other items.

Excellent sushi! The service here was super friendly and this restaurant was so clean. We had several rolls (The Kawaii roll is excellent), nigiri was super fresh, the tempura shrimp was crispy, and the young man who took care of us (Patrick) was super nice.
They have gluten free soy sauce if you ask!

Also, the prices weren't outrageous considering the huge rolls. We had two rounds of tempura shrimp, tamago, 6 pieces of nigiri, and four sushi rolls plus drinks for $112!

We came here for their lunch special. Really good price! You get your choice of soup or salad and any sushi, beef or chicken or veggie entree. In the entree you get a spring roll and your type of rice and protein. Large portions too! I got the egg drop soup and it was good. I asked for the crackers/chips and they charge you extra for those. $3 extra!

They also give you fortune cookies but feel like inspirational fortunes lol.

Food was good. Definitely will come again.

Kawaii Sushi and Asian Cuisine has two locations and I went to the Glendale location. Years ago I went here and the sushi wasn't my style so I thought I needed to give them another try after I saw the good deed they did on the news. They closed for the pandemic and gave away all their food to first responders and just reopened for take out.

They do a very good job of distancing. You order and pay on line. Drive up to a spot and text them to bring out your food and they drop the food off on a table in front of your car.

This was such a treat to find on my Birthday (12/24) when NOTHING is open Kawaii was a treat! I cannot begin to describe the spicy bowl that contained Ponzu, spicy tuna roll and then sashimi toppings. We ordered it as a roll and it arrived as a meal. We also LOVE pan fried noodles and they HAD THEM! The rolls we chose were also incredible and we walked out with 2 apps, 4 rolls, the noodles, and Sake for under $110 on my birthday. Everytime we come to Phoenix we WILL be reliving this momentous meal!
