I wish I could keep bringing my pets to Dr. Chris McKinney, but the amount of time you spend in the parking lot is ridiculous and the staff that answers the phone are hot and cold depending on what mood they're in. In my experience it was mostly bad moods.

They over book and take forever to process payments. I had an appointment at 6:10 and at 8 pm I'm still sitting in a car waiting .

I brought my cat to suburban. i found her after she was missing for 6 weeks. she came home emaciated. The staff took her on as a new patient the moment we called. The staff was incredibly empathetic for my poor kitty. They took amazing care of her while keeping contact with me twice a day. They gave their best care with out going over the range of cost we spoke of(no amount of money would have created a extra degree of care with the condition she was in). To no fault of them i did end up having to put her down. I was very impressed with the empathy that was given. I appreciate that i was never

Dr. Fisher, Dr. Bunkerburg, Dr. McKinney, and the entire staff are amazing! They are compassionate, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. They love each clients animal, great and small, like their very own. I have been going here for over 15 years and will continue to trust them. From my dogs, cats, rabbit, my rats (yes I have pet rats and they are amazing ;) ), hamster, and my bird. I highly recommend them.

My roommates and I got a cat while living in Henrietta so we started taking him here. They always answer our questions as well as they can, are incredibly friendly and take good care of our cat, Fodi. He hates the vet in general but they do everything they can to make the visit bearable for him. They provide towels, and usually let us into an examining room while we wait so the cat doesn't have to sit with all the dogs and noise in the waiting area. No one likes paying for a vet visit and the price is my only complaint, even though I know it's something that must be paid. Thank you Suburban

Switched over from Henrietta Hospital on Friday, and wow this place is a 360 from Henrietta Animal Hospital. I remember even coming here as a kid bringing our family pets here, the customer service and compassion for animals hasn't changed here. I went to bring my cat in thinking she had worms, but the doctor was asking questions and he couldn't find any. Then I said just look at her butt and he said that sometimes the glands can get plugged. Instead of pushing medication or do this or that, or its my fault; like the other animal hospital always seems to be like. He goes we can easily

After 20+ years of driving an hour each way to see my vet in my old home town, I am thrilled to have found Suburban and feel comfortable making them "the new usual". Dr. Fisher and all the staff have been exceptional with our very, very nervous Great Dane, all 120 lbs. of her. Their patience and kindness have been exemplary.

The staff and Dr. Blair also demonstrated their depth of compassion when what we thought would be a routine visit for our kitten turned out to be his last trip. Stephanie hugged me and cried with me at the heartbreaking turn in events, and the kindness of the entire

I just moved back to Rochester and was looking for a new vet- I saw good reviews about this hospital so thought this would be a good choice.

I was told to get there early before my first visit to fill out paperwork so I got there 15 min early and was put in a room to wait. I wasn't given anything to fill out and waited another 40 min prior to someone coming in. I was then told that they needed all of his records for his history but I was not told to call and have these sent over ahead of time so they didn't have any of his paperwork for this visit (making it somewhat useless to ensure

I'm so glad I found this hospital! My dog had a full body rash for over a year. It started in San Diego and I had gone to two different vets in hopes to get the rash cured. They did rounds of antibiotics on her and prescribed her some lotions, but sadly they didn't work. My dog was scratching constantly and had fur falling out excessively. I came to this hospital and saw Dr. Blair. He took samples of her skin and prescribed her steroids that worked like a charm! The rash never came back and I'm so thankful!

We are new to the area, and I chose this vet based on their Yelp reviews.

The facility is clean, and they provide all the usual services that one would expect from a vet. The wait time was short.

They insisted that we test our dog for heartworm. Our previous vet always recommended it, but allowed us to skip the test since our dog never missed a dose of her medication. The risk with heartworm is that your dog can become sick if you give them the preventative medication if they are already infected. Since our dog took the medication 2 weeks prior to her appointment, and didn't become sick

I can't believe in this day and age that I have to personally go to the vets office to pick up a prescription and send it to the pharmacy. Suburban Animal Hospital needs to get with the times!!!

We brought our cat here with some stomach problems. The staff was welcoming, informative, and helped our kitty feel better. Also, as it turns out, the dry food we had been using wasn't good so they prescribed some prescription cat food. Everything is now back to normal. Now, here are a few words from my cat:

I just moved back here to Rochester from North Coast California. My poodle had begun having seizures in California, which I believe was due to the massive amounts of flea products we had to use there. (with the drought, the flea population has exploded)

So I arrive here in Rochester with a poodle on seizure meds. Her prescription was running out from the California vet (who was awesome too) and I needed a refill.
My sister uses Suburban for their little dog and so I went there.

The place was clean, friendly and great! The staff was super nice. The tech who came in to do a quick temp and stuff

I love this vet! Thankfully, I haven't had to visit for anything other than Wembley's annual appointments. It's an all around good experience. The staff manning the front desk are quick to help you as you walk in. I just love that they refer to the cat as the patient: "Is this Wembley here, ready for his appointment with Dr. Silberg."

I'm always so surprised how clean they keep it in there, especially after seeing what the room looks like after Wembley's visits -- puffs of cat hair and scattered catnip. The waiting room and appointment rooms are spotless.

Awesome, awesome veterinarians! I took my puppy for the first time today, and we had a wonderful experience. My dog loved the techs and the vet, and had no problems at all. Their annual exam was the most comprehensive that I have ever seen, and they explained each step of the process. They gave my dog a 'report card', detailing his health, and explained procedures (along with pricing) that they thought would be useful. The vaccinations were also inexpensive compared to other places that I've taken my puppy, including VetCo (at PetCo). We will definitely be sticking with this

I'm constantly moving from place to place, and my doggie and I are constantly having to change doctors / vets. Suburban was by far my favorite vet I've ever gone to. They are very straight forward with you about what vaccinations your dog actually needs vs. what vets typically try to get you to give them to get more money. They explained everything I could ever want to know about my dog and told me in detail what they were doing each step of the way.

I recently moved to Syracuse, and really dread finding another vet. I loved them so much I'm considering keeping them as my vet

We just moved to the area and needed to find a good, clean place to board our two dogs. So far we've left our dogs kenneled at Suburban three times (1 night, 4 nights, 6 nights). Each time the facilities have been very clean and our dogs have been well cared for. The staff continually comments on how much they liked having out dogs and how friendly they are. They are always very clean and the dogs hardly need a bath even after a week's stay!

Initially they insisted on keeping our dogs in separate kennels, which I was concerned about as they are so used to being together. However the
