Services
Midtown Veterinary Hospital first opened its doors in 1932, giving the community of Rochester a veterinary practice that has stood the test of time. Since the practice was purchased by Dr. Ami Maloco and her husband Ruel in 2018, we have made it our mission to create a practice that goes above and beyond in veterinary excellence.
Dr. Amalia Maloco earned her education from Kansas University and Central Luzon State University. She had experience working as a critical care and regular veterinary technician for 8 years before becoming a veterinarian. Her areas of expertise include preventive medicine for small animal, dentistry, routine surgeries, and soft tissue surgeries.
I been knowing Dr Zimber for some years, he's an incredible Vet, saves me alot of money and he takes good care of my fur babies. I want to thank the incredible staff as well there so kind and caring. The staff was very professional and Doctor Bender was very attentive to my doggy's needs and answered all my questions!
Are you searching for a practice that believes in providing high-quality, individualized care to its patients? Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships with your clients? Do you pride yourself in offering creative solutions to solve problems? Great! We may just have the perfect opportunity for you!
Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off color or unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them every 6 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.

We brought our dog here for the first time hoping to establish a good relationship with a vet. Instead, we were told that we were not allowed to enter the building and that we must drop our pet off. I understand they are doing this because of covid but my partner and I both work in health care. We see ACTUAL covid patients and their families everyday. We were told to wait in the car and the vet would call us to discuss exam results... Imagine going to a doctor and leaving your child or family member there who cannot advocate for themselves or adequately provide a history. A health visit is a combination

Excellent service. When all other Vets were telling me 6-8 weeks or go to the Emergency Vet, Midtown got Naya in in less than a week, and her and her sister for follow ups within the month. They do push a heartworm, flea, tick all in one internal that I am not a big fan of, and parvo vaccines for 9 and 14 year old dogs that had never had parvo vaccines. Great staff. Took good care of the girls.

Veterinarian Clinic in Downtown Rochester. Easily accessible from Inner Loop and 490. Scheduling routine vet appointments for your pets about 2 weeks out. They have taken care of my 2 cats since they were kittens. I never feel robbed and the Dr always answers my behavioral and medical questions. I have gone to a suburban vet clinic in the past, and literally emptied my bank account in one visit. It feels nice to have a vet that cares about not emptying your wallet.
