To provide services and medications that would restore a good quality of life for the recipient and then place them in a loving home that continues to provide the necessary care that they need. Banshee was in the middle of traveling across the country with her family when she became very ill. Her owners were not able to give her the care that she needed, so she stayed with us.
Sarasota Animal Hospital is proud to announce that we are now partnering with Sarasota K-9 Search and Rescue Team to provide their volunteer dogs with preventative medical care. As a Sarasota veterinarian and animal hospital, Dr. Mark and his staff feels like this is a great way we can give back to the community that we serve and supports us.

My dog HAD and marble size bump over her spine and these fools said it's fine we'll just watch it. So I brought her to a different veterinarian who said we need to get that out of there immediately which we did it turned out to be a large cancerous lump that would have killed her if I had waited much longer like the people at Sarasota animal hospital for me to do just wait just wait will watch it well watch your dog die from cancer

We recently took our kitty Sammy here and this veterinary clinic soothed all of our souls. Interacting with the staff gave insight to the passion and love they have for their job and they treated Sammy with gentle care. We have now been to two vets in the area and, compared with the other, we received advice that was more accurate and specialized, which made us realize how horrible our other experience was. Not to mention how reassuring they are to worried cat moms, compared to stone cold treatment we've experienced elsewhere. We trust them and will definitely be bringing Sammy back here for

If I could give them no stars I would.. the staff is rude and I made an appointment for my dog 1 1/2 in advance for a drop off arranged my whole work schdl so where I was able to pick him up b4 close and took off the following day.. they told me to drop off between 8am-830 am I show up at 8:11 and they tell me that it's canceled bc I miss my appointment and told me that the receptionist is 100% certain that it was not a drop off but all my other appointments have been?! Complete lies then the guy with the glasses refused to give me her name or his name told me that we had to cut ties that

My husband and I had to make the difficult decision to put our 15 1/2 year old dog to sleep. We are from up north but we were at our condo in Sarasota for a few months. We had never been to a vet in Sarasota so we called a few places and Sarasota Animal Hospital was the only place that let both my husband and I be together, but we had to be outside. It was actually better, it was so peaceful. There were no other dogs barking or smells. Our dog was very calm. Dr. Mark was so comforting and explained everything. The staff was so nice and caring. I know that they send a card to everyone but the card

We are fairly new to SRQ and decided to try this clinic based on reviews here. I usually find reviews helpful but not this time. Five stars??
We took our dog for a serious bowel issue, had her looked at, tests run. We were given a prescription that we were told to give our dog for three days, the bottle said five days and the bottle had ten days of pills. Our dog was no better after three days and we called back. We were told to expect a call back since improvement was expected. No one ever called and her condition was still an issue.
We now have our dog under the care of a different

What a wonderful experience: from Dr Mark to his vet tech Pete to receptionist Debbie! Dr Mark took ample time to listen to our concerns, had spot on medical care and our Golden really loved him. His examination was thorough, his knowledge base excellent and his love of dogs quite apparent. It was one of our best wellness visits ever and one of the best in Sarasota.

After searching for almost 3 years for a Vet that would let my boxers be their rambunctious selves, we finally found Dr. Mark, and Sarasota Animal Hospital. Not only does he put up with wet kisses and big boxer hugs, but the entire staff always welcomes us like part of their family. We recently had an emergency, and he made room in his schedule to care for my boy. Not only that, he called later that night to make sure all was well. Thank goodness for everyone at Sarasota Animal Hospital!

I can't say enough good things about Sarasota Animal Hospital. They took great care of my dog and cat for several years, both for routine care and boarding, and ultimately when my dog became very ill and had to be put to sleep they were wonderful and supportive. Dr Mark called me at 0700 in the morning and in the evening to give me updates when my dog was failing at the end. I can't thank them enough for all that they did. I am getting a new puppy next week, and I am definitely going back to see the team at Sarasota Animal Hospital!

Sarasota Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a good friend. I had already tried two different veterinary practices in the area, and simply wasn't satisfied. I am so glad I discovered Sarasota Animal Hospital. SAH was my dog's vet for the 5 years we lived in SRQ. I like that they provide boarding (this is the only place I would ever board my dog). My dog actually liked going to the vet because Dr. Carrie and Dr. Downing are so wonderful. My only complaint about the Sarasota Animal Hospital is that my pet was never named Pet of the Month :)
