Services
At Bay Road Animal Hospital, our goal is to keep animals healthy and to keep their humans happy as a result. We use the latest technology and veterinary practices, along with the best in customer service, to achieve these goals. We have two locations in the Sarasota, FL, area, and both are AHAA accredited.
Bay Road Animal Hospital has highly trained, skilled, and experienced team members at every position. Our veterinarians, led by Dr. Smith, combine for over 100 years of veterinary experience and have vet school degrees from the most prestigious universities in the country. Our technicians, the veterinary equivalent to a registered nurse, are all certified by the Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
Here at the Bay Road Animal Hospital in Sarasota, FL, we offer a wide variety of veterinary services for dogs, cats, and more. We are an AAHA-accredited animal hospital, which means that we offer the highest level of care possible. The services that we offer include preventative medicine, surgical services, dental care, and more.
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.
Many of us know how bad it feels to lose a pet. Not knowing where they are or what has happened is one of the most helpless and sickening feelings a person can have. Having a microchip implanted into a pet can alleviate some of that concern. Pets with a microchip will immediately be scanned by animal control and other rescue services.

We moved here recently and I chose Bay Road because it's so close to our new house. I have been very happy with the care they have given my dogs. I also have been very impressed with their covid protocols. I wish more businesses took the pandemic as seriously.

I had been to 4 different vets last week and could not figure out what was wrong with my dog. Dr. Smith ran diagnostic tests and had her back to normal within 48 hours. He is very knowledgeable, reliable and responsive and I am so thankful that I have now found an amazing vet and team to take care of my pups.

The doctors and courteous and competent and the staff are willing to help. Most recently, the ladies who run the front of the shop spent two days helping me straighten out a mess created by a large online dog food company. Good people.

First time going to Bay Road animal hospital I felt that the best care was given to my canine counterpart. On the second visit I had a concern about a charge which was corrected quickly and satisfactory. We joined the healthy pets club too.

This is a great Veterinary Clinic. They take excellent care of our animals, are knowledgeable, and thorough. And they explain everything to doggie's parents!

I couldn't be happier with the care I receive from Bay Rd! I have all 3 parrots in with Dr. Smith. My only regret is not finding them sooner! Compassionate care and extremely expert in the scientific aspect, reasonably priced. Many years of experience makes a difference!
