Services
Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital was established in 1987 and has undergone changes and improvements throughout the years in keeping with the many ongoing advancements in veterinary medicine. We focus on providing the highest quality medical and surgical services for your companion animals. We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care.
Our vets offer preventive care, wellness exams and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Diagnostic imaging allows our veterinarians to look at your pet internally for clues about sickness or injury. Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health to prevent dental disease and tooth loss.
Let Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital provide professional care for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.
Diagnostic imaging allows us to examine your pet's internal organs and body systems to better diagnose their conditions. There are different types of diagnostic imaging and the type your pet needs will depend on their symptoms and the affected area of the body. With the shared goal of successful recovery, our team of experienced veterinarians works together to return your pet to good health.
Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health. When oral hygiene is neglected, pets can develop dental disease which negatively affects other systems in the body and may lead to tooth loss. A pet's dental health is just as important as their physical health, however, it often goes overlooked.

I took my dog there for a unknown mass on her face she was prescribed medication and was told she will need to come back upon the second appointment I was told it would be 20 minutes,
The doctor ordered a Ct scan 2 days later my dog passed away, I called back very upset and the doctor was on vacation, he left for vacation after sending me packing with my dog. I spoke with the manager and they stated the doctor did everything correctly and did not claim any responsibility at all
Again my dog passed away 3 days after seeing the doctor do not take your dog here!

My 1 year old pup kept dislocating her knee (luxated patella) and would often fall when walking or running. Thanks to Dr Kelly and his staff, she has nicely recovered following surgery. She's running and playing again like a puppy should. Thank you all at Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital from Ellie Mae and myself.

The team is friendly and attentive to each pets’ individual needs. They spent time with my older kitty, Vera, to assess the problem of her eye infection before fully explaining her treatment plan and the cost of her care. Vera is on the mend and thankful for Dr. Fruman and her team! 😸

Not once, but twice, they have seen me ASAP due to sick guinea pigs! They are always friendly, knowledgeable and accepting of my animals! I truly believe my one guinea pig would not be here if it weren’t for them! I have officially switched my vet to them and it’s worth my 45 minute drive! I would highly recommend this team of professionals!!

I have been a client of Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital for over 20 years. I have the outmost confidence that my pets will receive excellent care. The run an organized and profession vet hospital . The staff are friendly and caring. They take care of all your needs. My only downside I have experienced is that my last visit May 27. 2021 we still have to communicate by phone from your car. It is time to resume some normalcy and be able to be in with your pet. Your pet needs that security of your presence. There are only you and tech/vet in the room with your pet. Masks works according to the experts

I just want to thank the staff, especially dr Kelly, for everything. We recently had to make the tough decision to let our cat Oliver go. Dr Kelly came up with a plan that gave us many more months we wouldn’t have had with our boy. It is never a pleasant experience to have to make this decision but it was so heartwarming today when I received a… sympathy card with hand written notes from all the staff with their condolences. Receiving this card was totally unexpected and I don’t think there are too many vet practices out there that would go out of there way to add a personal

This is the worst vet office I have ever been to. They performed a surgery to remove a cancerous tumor on my dog which they said they could do, and then botched the entire surgery and told me they couldn’t fix it. So they sent me to the surgeons at PVSEC so that they could fix their surgeon’s mistakes. It almost killed my dog and the surgeries to… fix their mistakes cost me over $10,000. Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital did nothing to make up for their mistakes. Plus they screwed up multiple appointment which they scheduled and did nothing to make up for their mix ups. Do not take

Fine if your pets not sick ... if they are go somewhere else.
Poor care resulted in additional visit (fluid IV, more meds, tests that should’ve been done in the first place ext) and get charged for it all. Not to mention when I called to speak to someone about the declining status I couldn’t even get ahold of Dr Kelly (don’t see speaks a mile a… minute and barely explains much all at the same time) Wouldn’t return my calls only front desk staff who piece mailed the issues and created unnecessary back & forth. I had to bring in to dr furman (who is very good) who

We have two cats, 5 rats and one mouse. They are all seen and taken care of at Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital. The staff is EXCELLENT both helpful and knowledgeable! Dr. Mihalic takes care of our cats most of the time and specializes in pocket pets like our mouse and rats. We just took our four new rats in to establish care and they did a great job in handling them and making sure they were all healthy! Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital is very responsive to e-mails through their website when we have had questions. Thank you Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital for giving excellent care though out the years!

This place is the best vet office we have ever visited. The receptionists and techs are great people. They are very helpful and they genuinely care about your pet. The veterinarians are outstanding. We have taken our pets to all of the vets here and we love all of them. They are all very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. They explain things in a way that you can understand even if you aren't a veterinarian. They were outstanding with us when we fought cancer with one of our cats. They were amazing, and tender with us when we finally lost that battle. They never led us or our kitty astray. They

I have taken all of my pets to Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital since moving to the area in 2013. They have always been wonderful. Last year, I found a kitten in the road. She was in terrible shape and Dr. Chamberlain was amazing! The entire staff has always been friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend them enough!

We had the best visit with Dr. Furman last night. She explained everything to us well and was so gentle with our cat, who is quite shy. The vet techs were great and so friendly too! Fair pricing and everyone there seems genuinely concerned about making your pet feel better, I love that they call the check up on them after a few days too. Couldn’t recommend it enough and I will definitely be requesting Dr. Furman for every visit now.
