Services
To get started, simply drag and drop images from your computer to upload your images. Whether you pull images from social media, portable storage or media files, any standard JPG and TIFF files under 1 GB are accepted. Our website is mobile compatible so you can quickly and easily create prints from Android or iPhone.
Have a lot of images you want handled with quality bulk photo printing? Our Bulk/Batch printing tool is designed for those who want to print large quantities of 4x6 prints from their digital files. Whether you're printing off photos for an art collage or want to put together a family album, 4x6 photos can be ideal for the job.
Turnaround for orders with more than 2 types of paper surfaces will need an additional production day. Midnight cut off time does not apply to 200% rush services. Large orders, multiple paper surfaces, multiple sizes and holidays can affect turnaround times. The Icon is not liable for delays in turnaround times due to unforeseen circumstances.
It used to be that film was so ubiquitous that film processing was done in every grocery/pharmacy/box store, but the days of digital photography have changed that dramatically. Now it's hard to find easy film processing options that are both convenient and don't break the bank. The prices are clearly marked so you'll always know exactly what you're paying for and how much it will be.
There are no refunds. For special circumstances credit will be applied in the form of a coupon, or credit to your online account to be used towards a future purchase. Please put your exposed sheet film in a three layer film box (the box that the film came in) before packaging for shipping, then attach our prepaid mailer to the shipping box.

After repeated attempts to recover priceless fine art negatives after having them scanned, I was told they would "call me back". Never received a call. I had to call them multiple times and always got "we will call you back" finally I called one last time this morning and it turns out they threw the negatives away because "they were in storage over a month" well, I tried to retrieve them at least twice in person within 2 months after initially dropping them off and they always had issues finding the negatives. Their systems are ANCIENT. If they did dispose of them, I never received a call prior

Icon used to be great many years ago but they simply are not a good lab anymore. Their customer service is terrible. Aside from this they are messy. Film processing is slow and the negatives are always dusty and scans dirty. I really would recommend going to them only if it is a last resort. There are so many better labs in LA with better prices and service.

It was going to be my first time coming here & I came today at 9am right at opening and the shop was closed. Waited an hour till 10am and then decided to leave. The hours say open 9am on Sat. I even checked their socials or if there was any other signage saying otherwise but nope. I understand being a couple minutes late but over an hour beyond the time you're supposed to be open is ridiculous.

I have been going to the Icon for over 15 years since I was a photo student. They have always done an excellent job with my printing and I have always had great experiences with the staff. I have been intermittent in my film shooting and developing and its nice to know that they are still around when I need them. Yes, the prices are expensive, but I understand that they need to do that to keep the business afloat and I don't mind paying more for a higher quality experience. When I took my film to Sammy's yes it was cheaper but also came with a side of attitude and the scans that came

Extremely negative experience as a first-time customer. I brought in slide film, mentioned that it was my first time in, and started asking about pricing/ A family of 3 came in behind me with a very small child who was whining, not crying but making a loud hum / whine sound. She couldn't have been older than 4 years old and had only been inside the shop for about 5 seconds when this interaction began. Rather than handling the distracting sound professionally and with any sense of customer service, the Icon employee stopped answering my question mid-sentence and threw this tiny child a very

I just want to say thank you ICON! My relatives had a couple negatives of photos that were very special to them but unfortunately did not know how to develop them. ICON helped me choose the right method of development and emailed me the JPEG file as soon as it was available! These guys were great to work with and really know what they're doing.

After meticulously color correcting one of my images for a school assignment I ordered a C-type print from the lab. I picked up a terrible print, totally tinted an extreme cyan that should have been noted and corrected by staff. My 2 dollar at home print looked more professional than the print from Icon I paid 50 dollars for. Not only was the color tinted cyan, but I could see that the paper was stained with chemicals that have obviously gone bad. Worst print I have ever picked up, and it’s also the most expensive print I’ve ever paid for. Would not recommend to anybody.

I've been going here a few years, so often that they have my credit card on file. I drop in, hardly talk to the guys because they already know what I want and a few hours later I pick up my negatives. Except they decided to hire this disgruntled woman since & customer service is the last thing she's good at. I'll never go back there again, solely because of her attitude. I hope no one encounters her, especially when all you have to do is pick up your film and she chooses not to acknowledge you. "It's not like I'm not with a customer, I'm helping a customer

Do not use Icon if you are a professional photographer. I trusted Icon to print and ship photos in proper packaging to a client, which they failed to do - costing me money and much embarrassment. The photos arrived to my client bent and damaged as they were packaged in a flimsy cardboard that could clearly not withstand a cross country mailing.
I reached out to Icon, explained what happened and requested that they re-print the photos and ship them out again with proper hard-sided protection. They refused, shifted all the blame to USPS and offered me no reimbursement. I was wholeheartedly disappointed

Ordered one 12x18 print on metallic paper from them for a Christmas gift. The print came out great, which is of course the bulk of my rating. There are a lot of aspects of running a good business but the most important is that they do what they are supposed to do, and well. This they succeeded in.
The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price and the seemingly unorganized nature of the business. Prices are a bit too high compared to other print shops in the area. As far as being organized, my print was supposed to be ready Monday. I called and they said it was still in processing

Dropped off a roll of Ilford 100 BW film to be processed and printed two weeks ago. Received it back a few days ago. Phenomenal job by The Icon. The care and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Perfect tonality and exposure on all 36 shots. It's really refreshing to see a lab take such pride in their work. I HIGHLY recommend their services, and would go back to them for processing / printing in a flash. Thank you again.

Very sad to be leaving a negative review for a business I put my trust in for so long. I used The Icon exclusively for years both for my own shoots as well as recommending them to photographers who I assisted for. I brought this lab clients at Conde Nast, Rolling Stone, Paper, i-D, Nike, etc. Many photographers over the years told me of their negative experiences with The Icon but that had not been my experience so I continued to use them despite higher costs for developing and scanning my film. The quality of the scans were always great although their low res scans have seemed to lessen in quality

This is the only place I'll take film to get developed in LA. Their knowledge and equipment far exceeds any other lab in the city. I've thrown all sorts of weird stuff at The Icon, from cross processing color infrared slide film to way old expired stock and it always comes back flawless. The refrema dip processor is worth its weight in gold for not scratching negatives like roller machines often do. Oh yeah, and they have a 24/7 drop box behind the building so you can leave your film to get processed at 3:00 AM after your late night shoot and have it ready by the following afternoon.

I've been coming to The Icon for about a year and a half now, the consistency and quality of their film processing is unmatched in LA. Every time i drop off a roll here, I get it back cut and sleeved, no scratches, no muck ups, perfect every time.
(Plus they have a light box and louvres to check out your negs !)
All manners of film processing and scanning from E-6/BW/C41/push/pull, to drum scans: will and can be done at the highest level of consistency, diligent care, and of course quality.
People say that it's a pricey place to take your film, but if you are a professional or pro

Bottom line: their prints look good but everything else is a total mess. There is no communication as far as confirmation of orders or when they are ready. But worse, I went to pick up a print of a scan and they handed me an envelope with only my original. They had no idea the scan had never been printed and I would have to come back to pick it up the next day. Also, they had lost the guy in front of me’s negatives when I first walked in so not an isolated incident. When I came back the next day they had a print of an old scan they’d done before I had cleaned it up for them. They wouldn’t
