Stonewood Ale House, More like my Stonewood “FAIL” House! My husband and I and our two best friends decided to come here because we were hungry and we looked at reviews and it mostly had good ones(SO VERY DECEIVING) and so we thought we would give it a try! WORST decision EVER!!!! My friend ordered the Fish Tacos and they were bland! Fish was dry and tasted old and something was very off! She couldn’t even finish them! Her husband ordered the Elvis burger and it looked like a hunk,a hunk of burning’ junk! I ordered the ribs and they tasted like they had been out all day and microwaved later

I love this place for several reasons. #1) you don’t have to show a stupid vaccine passport to get in! Bartenders Leandra, Victoria , Eddy, Brian, and Anna are all phenomenal and friendly. I’m always paid attention to here as well! Manager Gwen is great and always comes around to say hi when she sees me. If you’re looking for a late night spot that has great food then give this place a try!

Nice atmosphere, pretty good food.
The bar is dynamic and the restaurant area is separate and relaxing.
I ordered Fish n chips, which the fish was great, but fries just OK. The wings were fine. I believe it still could’ve been better though. Overall recommended

Leandra was a sweetheart! Very attentive. The manager also came around to greet everyone. Very welcoming atmosphere. The food is really good! Especially the ribs😍 definitely will be back to try the beer canned chicken.

The mozzarella sticks are amazing and the French onion soup was one of the best I ever had and not even salty!

Service was excellent, frickles even better. Potato skins also hearty, wound up taking meal home. Can't go wrong here. Great beer selection. Sporty, homey atmosphere.

The food was very tasty, but too expensive compared to other restaurants. The server was attentive and polite. The host seated everyone right next to each other when there was plenty of room to spread us out (social distancing anyone?) so we wouldn't have to hear the party next to us the entire time.

This place is pretty solid. They've got a variety of things, although I think they're most known for the wood fired items. Fish and Chips, burgers, pasta dishes etc have all been tasty, but I haven't been here later enough to try the beer can chicken or ribs and chicken combo since those are only available after 4pm. Several beers on tap, so good pairing options exist. Not a bad spot for a tasty meal, but nothing spectacular stood out, either. Recommended for all sorts of scenarios

My husband and I came here not too long ago and we were very impressed by the food and the atmosphere/aesthetic of the place.

Upon walking in, we noticed the wood tables and the wood walls and everything was very clean. The place is also HUGE, which was surprising because it seemed much bigger inside than out.

I am not a huge burger person, so finding a burger I actually like and would crave is impressive. The burgers Mike and I both ordered were fresh, juicy, and big! I ordered the Inferno Burger and WOW. It was actually so spicy and delicious. I LOVE spicy food and normally don't feel

Great food there and to go. I'm a usual with takeout - and dine in was that much better. Grabbed some freckles. Kinda weird but pretty good. I love the pretzels with cheese and mustard as well!

I am in Chicago on business and I am staying just north of the city. So i looked up a local place where me and my team can have a quick bite to eat for dinner. Came here and we had a great time. We went in right away there were 6 of us. The server cane right over and took our drink order. They have a very nice draft beer menu. They did not rush us, we were able to talk and enjoy our beers before our food orders were taken. I had the Santa Fe chicken sandwich it was very good. The rest of my team had no complaints regarding there food and we all agreed the service was on point. A definite place

Service is terrible here. Waited 20 minutes just to give our drink order. The food took twice as long and it came luke warm. Asked for a drink with Kettle One and received a drink with Skol instead at Kettle One price. When we complained they didn't care and said if we didn't like it we could leave. Terrible restaurant.

Hands down one of the best food experiences we have had during our stay in Illinois. The food was absolutely amazing, from the sides to our entrees! Staff was friendly & low-key which made the environment very comfortable. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be back anytime we find ourselves visiting Illinois!

These mofos charger me .65 for each bbq sauce when I ordered a pulled pork. I'm confused that's like given me a plain burger with ketchup on the side and charging me for the ketchup -_-. C'mon now. Petty

Stonewood ale house has been one of my favorite spots to grab a bite after work. I love the atmosphere and mostly keep coming back for the staff. Make sure you visit Eddy, Ana and Victoria as they do know how to keep the drinks flowing and make each visit special.

Came here with a friend the other night, it wasn't really that busy. Nobody followed masking protocols, our server was very neglectful and seemed to be stressed out or something. Our food came out cold, I ordered potato skins and the Shrimp Dinner. Didn't even ask to refil our drinks, hope she enjoyed the lousy tip.

St pats day post : a little disappointed made the drive from Chicago thinking live Irish music - social media said Irish music and food . Corned beef tasted like lunch meat not brisket . Three stars just based on the st pats advertisement - everyday food is excellent . Had the corned beef and cabbage - corned beef didn't taste like from a brisket and carrots tasted like sweet potato ( carrots ) service was good and regular food excellent

This place was alright, came for a birthday dinner. Forgot my ID at home wasn't able to get a drink but that's fine that's on me, fries were bland. My moms pasta was too garlicky, I had the Elvis burger it was good but very weird it had banana and peanut butter service was nice and our waitress was attentive. Felt very dark inside lights were super dim

Came here on a Saturday night when the place was very busy, so we ate at the bar. This place has a terrific beer menu, and traditional pub food. That said, I was actually really impressed with the Reuben sandwich. Definitely a place to checkout when you're looking for a beer and some bar food.

I ate here 3 days ago and was terribly disappointed. The staff did not follow proper distancing and masking protocol.
The food was well overpriced, along with the drinks.
I ordered the meatloaf and it was the worst meatloaf I have ever eaten. The texture was mushy and had the mouthfeel of tuna salad. The mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless.
Another person in our party ordered the deluxe cheeseburger and it was average but, the cost was $13.00
The skirt steak was overcooked and very tough and chewy.
The total for 6 people which 3 people ordered cheeseburgers was over $400.
I would suggest skipping

Appetizers:
Frickles: thin fried pickle strips. Batter is deliciously light and flakey. Served with a spicy sauce so I opted for ranch instead.

Lettuce wraps: average. 4 huge fresh lettuce wraps served with a chicken/peanut mix, 2 sauces, and pickled onions and cucumbers.

Dinner:

Beer can chicken and ribs: Wow. Chicken had the perfect amount of seasoning, super moist. So delicious. Came with fresh cut fries and coleslaw. Also got a side of the Yukon mashed potatoes which had skins and nice and creamy.

Kids burger- my daughter has a dairy allergy so we asked if we can do a kids style Elvis

I'll start off by saying this place is huge! Food was really good and had a great selection of beer. I ordered the French onion soup which hit the spot. Super cheesy and awesome flavor. For the main course I had the INFERNO Burger. As you see in the picture, habanero peppers and jalapeños on top. At first I thought, well here's another burger they claim to be spicy and ends up being anything but.. but then it came with vengeance! Awesome burger if you love to sweat! Definitely will come back

A minute ago

I had a wonderful patty melt burger here this past weekend and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I only wish my burger had more cheese on it but the fries were crispy and flavorful and my burger was extremely juicy and delicious. I was deeply saddened to see the restaurant had ample seating both within the large interior of the restaurant as well as their two outside seating areas but there weren't many diners here. I would definitely come back for another visit. I truly appreciate the fact that the portions here were extremely generous and the food was extremely delicious

I was there last night with my wife, around 11pm. The restaurant wasn't busy.
We started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip which was excellent. Then we ordered the Louisiana chicken pasta and the BBQ pulled pork. Food was very good. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5 is because the waitress wasn't very attentive.
We were waiting around 10 minutes without water and when we were about to go she came to the table. After she served us the food we didn't see her again. 15 minutes after we finished our meal I called another server to look for our waitress. 5 minutes later she came

I can see why this place only gets 3.5 stars, I'm rounding down mine to 3. Although advertised "homemade", the veggie burger is indeed frozen. I believe it's a frozen black bean Boca burger. Take a look at the pics - what do you think?

While the veggie burger was a miss, I enjoyed the soft pretzel bun and the lime cilantro aioli was bursting with flavor. The dip paired really well with the crispy tater tots. Definitely request the condiment!

The default side of fries that come with the burger are sooooo salty. As an avid fan of fries, after a few, I gave up. Go for the kettle
