Our receptionists and team attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted by appointment, or schedule permitting as a walk-in. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, if possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Barb and Ron are the best! They are fantastic vets, love animals, are thorough and both have amazing bedside manners. They personally call you with results and you never feel rushed. Barb has done dentals for several animals for me and does a phenomenal job. Prices are very reasonable. Their staff is all friendly and professional.

I moved here from out of state and needed to find a new Veterinary Hospital for my fur babies. As a vet tech in specialty medicine I am quite particular about my pets care. Everyone was extremely kind with my two dogs. Dr. Ron was very personable and answered all of my questions. We love Buxton Veterinary Hospital!

I've been taking my furry family to Buxton for 20 years. I love them. I believe it's a husband and wife team. They are wonderful with the animals. Their prices are reasonable. Even though I moved just south of town I still make the drive to their north academy office. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Thank you for everything you've done for my family. ❤😸🐶❤

We made an appointment here two weeks ago to get our newest member established at a clinic. We arrived for our appointment 10 minutes early to allow for any paperwork. It was a “call from your car to check in” process due to Covid. So we did so right when we arrived. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to have the girl bring us out a clipboard and tell us she’d back to get our dog. Well, after sitting in the car waiting for an hour, still no service! Finally got fed up and left! Terrible customer service and communication! We have had previous pets here at this clinic so we are very disappointed

Barb Buxtom and her husband Ron are extremely dedicated vets who take the time to work out a plan when one is needed.
Their prices are less than the average but most importantly, they really care about each animal as well as the owners. They take pride in what they do. My dogs and I are most grateful for their on-going support.
