Regular nose-to-tail wellness exams, early detection, and age-specific assessments help keep your pet healthy. Many animals are good at hiding signs that something is wrong, so subtle changes in their health or behavior might be overlooked without preventive care. At Lyndon Animal Clinic, our treatment philosophy is aimed at prevention with early diagnosis and treatment.
Early detection using diagnostic testing provides a complete picture of your pet's health, improving outcomes, and providing baseline results. Our staff is committed to helping you get a full picture of your pet's health through laboratory and diagnostic testing. Annual blood testing helps us determine a normal baseline for your pet.
Our experienced veterinary team provides comprehensive medical care, ranging from routine to advanced procedures and treatments. Although we handle the majority of your pet's medical and surgical needs in-house, we occasionally refer patients to veterinary specialists or specialty clinics when advanced training or equipment will be beneficial.

So impressed with Lyndon Animal Clinic. Not only did they get me in the day I called they were very thorough and with an X-ray diagnosis my dog and treat her. Within one day my dog went from barely moving back to her puppy acting self. Thank you 😊

Lyndon Animal hospital was referred to us to treat our dogs knee injury. The staff was pleasant and efficient, getting us in relatively quickly. Dr. Matt Thompson spent a lot of time with us (even though we were the last appt of the day) providing the details of the surgical options and the pros and cons of each. He was straightforward but patient with our numerous questions.
Ultimately we opted for the lateral suture surgery which was successful. Our pup is currently recovering and we continue to be very impressed with the entire staff at Lyndon.

Took my 1 year old pit for his first chiropractic visit with Dr. Gawley. He has been having leg issues that I couldn’t figure out for almost a month now. Now after this visit, I am SO grateful I was referred here. My gunna received a good diagnosis, the treatment he needed and was smiling (pitty smile) for the first time in weeks! I’m so thankful for how nice and attentive both the Dr. and staff were. Will be using this office as his primary vet. Thank you so much, Lyndon Animal Clinic!

We trust Lyndon Animal Clinic with our whole herd: 3 cats and 1 dog. The vets are kind, knowledgeable, and very thorough, and the staff is friendly and provides amazing customer service. While most of our visits to Lyndon Animal Clinic are for routine care, we have also made a few trips for our elderly cats' end of life care. Dr. Thompson has put two of our furry friends to rest, and while a pet's death can be traumatic, Dr. Thompson's professional and kind demeanor helped buffer those tough situations. He walked us through the process, prayed with us, and let us have time with our pets before

My visit to Lyndon was for the annual exam and shots for my maltipoo, Sassy. Kurt Oliver has been caring for Sassy since we picked her up from the breeder. His care during this visit was as it always is. He is a caring, professional, and cares for his 4-legged patients as if they were his own.

They are incredible! Even when they are triple booked, they took in a dog that needed immediate care when the dog’s own vet turned them down. Not often that you can find such an amazing vet that’s in it solely to help animals and not for profit! 15/10 would recommend!

Always happy with how thoroughly Dr. Thompson explains my pets' options for treatment. He gives solid advice without pushing any decisions on me. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

The vets and staff here are second to none. They provide professional, compassionate care, and clear and timely communication. You can expect expert docs who care deeply about your pet. They saved our cat's life and have ensured that my 14 year old dog still enjoys great quality of life. They also have fair pricing. I cannot say enough good things about this practice.

Hands down the best.
Dr. Thompson takes the time to fully engage and ask questions as if my dog is his only patient. My dog is 13 and has never liked the vet, but somehow since we started going to Lyndon, he is at ease.
Every tech is professional and caring. Everyone takes the time to really make sure doc is comfortable and goes above and beyond to make sure he isn’t scared.
I’ve been to a lot of vets, and this is it for me.

After moving to Louisville in 2014 I knew I quickly had to find a vet for my Golden, Harper. Per usual I creeped around on Yelp to read reviews, but nothing really stood out until I stumbled upon Lyndon Animal Clinic.

After my first appointment, I can never go anywhere else. Harper has seen three different vets at Lyndon, Dr. Thompson, Dr. Oliver and now Dr. Gawley. While the first two are fantastic, Dr. Gawley is my absolute favorite and I cannot recommend her enough.

Before COVID times, I was able to wait in the lobby with my dog until we were called back to an exam room. The lobby is always

I was looking for a new place to take my cat Zoe for check ups after being disappointed with the first vet we tried. This clinic is almost walking distance from where I lived, so I figured I would give it a shot. Man, I could not believe the improvement that brought!

Everything was very easy to do. You can schedule appointments online, and Zoe's check up lasted about 10 minutes at the most. I believe it was Dr. Oliver that saw her, and he was very friendly and I could easily tell that he is great at what he does. They didn't try and push anything on me to purchase, one big problem

I've been coming here for over a year for my dog and I've had nothing but helpful and professional interactions with all the staff. I have never really had to wait past my appointment and I've even had a walk in case were they took swift action. I primarily see Dr. Thompson who has always been caring and takes the time to explain things to me. The girls out front always have a smile on their face. The ladies trimming my dogs nails are awesome too. I have zero complaints and will continue to do business here as long as I can.

When we moved to the Lyndon neighborhood, we decided to give Lyndon Animal Clinic a try. We had heard wonderful things about the staff and it's very close to our home.

My dog and I showed up a few minutes early for our appointment. We ended up waiting over an hour. I can understand if there was an emergency or a situation with another animal and it caused a delay, but this was not that case. The front desk staff were quite aloof in general and provided no reason for an hour delay. A few minutes here and there - totally reasonable. But an hour past your appointment time and no reason/apology

I've been coming here for years. Dr. Oliver is the best! The girls up front are very nice. It gets a little backed up at times, but the wait is not bad. Love them.

I've been to a lot of vet clinics over my 50+ years across 5 different cities/locations and so many wonderful furry companions in my life... but I think Lyndon Animal Clinic is The Best of the Best. Never have to wait. Easy to get appointments. Real care and attention. And compassion as well.

Dr. Oliver is the best vet I have had in my many years of pet ownership. My cat was very sick and we almost lost him, without Dr. Oliver and his staff we would have. It would have broken our hearts. I am forever grateful for the love and compassion that they showed towards our cat and to us while we were out of town. He called me every day to tell me what they were doing, how he was reacting and how much better he was. I have never experienced that with a vet, normally they will have a tech or an assistant make those calls. I will use this vet from now on and will send anyone that needs a new vet

The folks at Lyndon Animal Clinic are the best vets in Louisville hands down. Doctors Oliver, Roppel and Thompson have provided the very best care for my cat for years. They truly care and it shows. Communication is excellent, and their treatment recommendations have always worked well. Both the doctors and their assistants are the very best, and provide a level of care that is above and beyond any vet I have ever been to in Louisville.

Best vet in town! hands down. He is super knowledgable and caring and thorough. I will never take my babies anywhere else. I drive over an hour one way to see this vet. His staff is amazing and also very helpful. They don't have the staff turnover that I've seen at other clinics. Dr. Oliver (and Dr. Thompson) will take as much time as is needed to make sure you understand what is going on with your pet's care. Dr Oliver will even get down on the floor with your pet and make sure the pet is comfortable; he has no ego and is very easy to understand and deal with. They will call

Hands down, this has been one of my best experiences with a vet. I selected Lyndon Animal Clinic and Dr. Thompson because I have a mastiff, and I wanted to make sure I had a vet who understood the breed. Dr. Thompson has a mastiff of his own and performed all general care and surgery (spay, stomach tack) for our English Mastiff. The price was surprisingly low for everything we received. You can tell the staff really cares, and even though it's an "out of the way" vet for me, they will have my business as long as I am in Louisville.

I have two miniature schnauzers and one had a life-threatening bout with hemolytic anemia followed by pancreatitis. Dr. Oliver transfused my dog,Max, with his own dog's blood, and got him through the pancreatitis. Max survived and is very healthy today. The staff is great, and always treat my dogs like its their private clinic! Very clean and comfortable.
I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic staff and service! Dr. Kurt Oliver is a great vet. You can tell that his team truly loves animals and want the best for their patients. The fact that he owns large breed dogs and specializes in large breeds definitely makes me much more comfortable bringing our new Golden to him.

Location is easy to get to and their offices are very nice and comfortable. Would recommend anyone to him.
