I can't say enough good things about The Montes Law Firm. I've been through several attorneys throughout a nasty 5 yr long custody battle and Devon was the only attorney to get things handled the way they needed to be. She was always prepared and was available anytime I had questions and kept me updated with everything along the way. I hired this firm from the state of Texas to help me with my marital case. The team immediately jumped into action and started working on everything. The communication was awesome! This is long overdue, Amy Montes and her team are excellent. I never ever thought I would have to use the services of a divorce attorney however, sometimes life can spin out of control. Mrs. Amy Montes was professional, realistic, prompt and thorough. I had previously spoken with, and had paid, two other lawyers that were highly rated in Orange Couty on Yelp. They were not as good as Amy. Third time is a charm I guess. I felt that Amy Montes had my best interests in mind.
Realize that divorce/dissolution of marriage is one of the hardest things you will go through in your life. My relationship on a professional level with Amy has spanned about 8 years now in a few matters stemming from the initial settlement. Which was handled in a very professional and efficient manner even with an extremely uncooperative and hostile other party.
Next she mediated the credit card debt reduction incurred by the other party and due to the law, I was also held liable. The reduction was to say, at the least, huge.

I had a consultation with Mrs. Montes at her Irvine office. I confided in her, shared with her my situation, my life story, and what kind of legal work I needed to have done. Sometimes things happen to us that are out of and beyond our control and that's when you need someone who knows what their doing and is good at their job. I was dreading hiring a divorce attorney and I had hear horror stories about bad divorce attorneys that just take your money and don't work for your benefit. When I first met Amy, I was not sure she was able to help. But after all her hard work and persistence in getting all of my divorce proceedings and filings (including restraining orders) out of the way, I was so impressed by her and her knowlege of divorce laws.
